WIS 2012: Back to the Future II - Draft and Season Thread (1 Viewer)

I have a ton of extra middle infielders.

Peralta and Uggla, disappointing as they were at the plate, will cover almost all my PAs with semi-competent defense. I'll keep Ronny Cedeno as a backup for both.

That leaves the following available:

SS Everth Cabrera 414 PA 247/323/332, 37 SB, 965 FLD%, 4.0 RF/G

SS Elliot Johnson 330 PA 243/305/351 965 FLD% 3.09 RF/G

2B Freddy Galvis 200 PA 226/254/363 996 FLD% 4.42 RF/G

My biggest need by far is a 5th SP. I also need about 200-300 PA of cover at 3B.

I could use help at RP and OF too, but I need to address the other problems first and I don't have a ton of trade bait outside of these MIs.

I'm willing to talk about upgrade/downgrade packages as well. Only Fielder, Willingham, King Felix and Dickey are off limits.

My full roster

I could use 200+ C PA's(preferably righty but I'm not picky). Only need to be better than Nick Hundley's stanky .464 OPS.

WILLING TO BUNDLE!

Available:

Alberto Callaspo, close to 500 3B PAs

Casey Kotchman, close to 500 1B PAs

Andruw Jones, 230ish OF PAs

Yuniesky Betancourt, 215 PAs 2B, 3B and 1 game @ SS!

Nick Punto, 170+ Util PAs(1B. 2B, 3B, SS)

Eric Hinske, 120 PAs of OF/1B filler

Spot starters

Jacob Turner, 41 IP and counting(should get two more starts in)

Casey Kelly, 24 IP and Counting(should get two more starts in)

In bad need of a starter or two. Here's what I have to work with:

Justin Masterson- 195.2 IP of near 5 ERA

Tommy Hanson- 163.1 IP of 4.5 ERA

Kevin Correia- 160 IP of 4 ERA

Vance Worley- 133 IP of 3.75 ERA

Brandon Beachy- 81 IP of 2.00 ERA

Brett Anderson- 35 IP of 2.50 ERA

I can piece together 3.5 starters out of that. I'll take any reasonable offer.

firesale. might have let that one breathe for a few days to let more people consider the opportunity.
Maybe. It's a pretty close trade in terms of wins though, and when you factor in 100 innings of negative win production coming off my roster and 300-400 ABs worth of negative ABs my team comes out pretty far ahead. I'm skeptical I was going to get much more.

I have SP Innings available:

Henderson Alvarez 181.1 IP

Ricky Romero 178 IP

Can also trade one of these Outfielders:

MSaunders 522 PA .251/.309/.430

Ichiro 630 PA .283/.309/.392

DYoung 581 PA .273/.303/.423

I badly need catcher PA's ( I have 421 total between Kottaras and Mathis). Would also like to upgrade at SP, would trade Leake or Zito and one of the guys above for a better SP if someone needs innings.

I have almost 300 innings of back of the rotation starting pitching to trade as well as over 280 innings of long and middle relief pitching to trade with complete certainty and no one is talking to me. :bag:

By the way, if you look at my roster at fantrax every player who is a reserve is available to be traded without question and can be add ons to bigger deals involving my 25 man.

Give it time. The season's still not over and there's only about 8-10 of us in trade mode already.I'm waiting until I see more rosters before I decide my plans.

Confirmed. Either the smartest or the dumbest trade of the season.

and it looks like both teams made out pretty well
It makes me hate jfranco more (all WIS created) since he didn't trade more than part time, bench, and AAA players (for jfranco) and receives an ace in return. But still DougB made out pretty well and jfranco had the ammo.

Greco won't let me into fantrax to see the roster but I'm pretty sure we need some starting pitchers, a shortstop and a catcher.

Can offer:

Rodney

Broxton

Motte

Herrera

Im gonna need something, just not sure what yet. I will be dealing 1 of my C's(Ellis/Doumit). Not sure what Doumit's Catcher rating will be though, prob not pretty.

OK so my team looks something like this now. I would like to trade for a better hitting backup catcher, and maybe 1 more good reliever. I've still got a lot of innings (Bedard, Duensing, Noesi, maybe Iwakuma) and I have a ton of mediocre PAs at 1B/OF that I could deal cheap (Pena/Francouer)

My 25 man roster is close to set. So I would be looking for some improvements on my active roster on fantrax. I would be willing to trade an active player with some of the above listed players to improve one spot on my roster. if you are interested in any of these players send me a PM and I will look over your roster and see if I can find something I want.

Kenley Jansen's 61 dominant IPs are available. Looking for a bat in return.
what sort of bat?
I need an OF. But I'm not going to trade Jansen just for depth PAs. He had a season that will get drafted in future all-time sims. If you plug his numbers into the WIS database, you'll see how special it is.61 IP0.85 WHIP.146 OAV13.43 K/93.10 BB/9His HR/9 number isn't all-time uber elite but Jansen will still be the best short man in this year's sim.

Mike Fiers could be available. I'd need comparable innings back(obviously not as good a Fiers but usable) and a good 300+ PA position player.

I have a couple of blue chips I'd like to turn into a handful of serviceable players:C.C. Sabathia - 184 IP, 1.174 WHIP, 8.8 K/9Giancarlo Stanton - 475 PAs, 283/354/595 34 HRNeed starting rotation depth, RH 3B, C, OF ABs to replace Stanton.
i have extra catchers (Jaso, Maldonado), and both Chipper and Pedro Alvarez at 3B. Could put together a package for Stanton, with one of those plus an OF. Tried to send a PM, but inbox was full.

Need about 400 PA at SS (Thanks Tulo), and either another starter or a couple of relievers.

Can offer a catcher (McCann or Pierzynski) and have plenty of corner infielders (D. Wright, B. Butler, C. Davis, E. Chavez, B. Wallace).

OK, so I want to wait until the end of the year...

but I'm open to trading anyone on my roster, I'm looking for more IP and PAs (although i think I could survive on my current PAs)...

how usable those IP and PAs are depends on what you're looking for... I do have a ton of speedy OFs with crazy #s of stolen bases and decent BA/OBP (for those kind of players) that should have good defense (all CFs)...

I also have Verlander and Gallardo (and Brandon McCarthy) who are pretty good SPs...

Still looking for some innings. Could also use a few 2B plat appearances. :bag:

Can offer a combination of the following

Kendrys Morales - Roughly 500 PA of 800 OPS

Ryan Howard - 292 PA

Jose Reyes (would need a SS back) - 703 PA

Corey Luebke - 31 IP, 2.71 DICE

Storen - 28 IP, 2.26 DICE

Can offer:RodneyBroxtonMotteHerreraSS Dozier (340 PAs and a good fielder)Luis Valbuena (multi position utility with 300 PAs)JepsenOgando
I need a starter with 150+ innings. I have plenty of PAs but not a ton of hitting depth but would be willing to do a trade involving a hitter that is not listed also if I get a hitter back.

don't have any extra IP, but have plenty of PAs. In the middle infield, sitting on Darwin Barney, Danny Espinosa, Zach Cozart, and Brendan Ryan. 2300 PAs among the 4.

i need arms badly......

can offer machado or dee gordon at ss, have grandal or welington castillo at C (200 solid PAs), have inge or stewart at 3b.

need to turn these guys into innings. could use 1 OFer perhaps as a throw in.

so, i might go quantity over quality.

with my Pujols acquisition, can make Justin Morneau available

333/440, 570 PAs, range stats look good

Not a great 1B, but better than what a few teams have there.

Best bet is likely a package of Morneau plus Position X (including pitcher) for an upgrade at Position X. Pretty well set at catcher (Mauer) and CF (McCutchen), but could upgrade anywhere else.

jfranco and I have a big deal to announce. Just waiting to hear back for sure from him.

####### franco. His team is stacked.

moops sends Jose Reyes, and Kevin Millwood

franco sends Mark Buehlre, Brian Duensing, Erik Bedard, Alexei Ramirez, and Ryan Theriot

I'm gonna hop in here and offer Kendrys Morales and his 273/322/470 line. Looking for 100 innings or so of decent starting pitching
