Any ideas about whether or not Ordonez would've kept falling? The way "value" works in this thing is a complete mystery to me.

Right about now is the time that the risk of fading stars like Ramirez, Guerrero, Ordonez, Beltran (sorry oso) start to look better than the upside of the younger OF talent pool. IMO.

he should get decent defense and has a very useful bat (even if he doesn't stay healthy as has been the norm for a while)...

He'll either bat 1/2 with Weeks or at the bottom of the lineup depending upon how many ABs I get and if I have a good backup for him or not...

Undervaluing defense in regular fantasy is more like it.There aren't a lot of other drafts where Franklin Gutierrez goes 90 picks before Vlad.

I like him a lot. He fits my model of pitchers (GB% in a pitchers park) but it is hard to trust a 36-year old knuckleballer.

Undervaluing defense in regular fantasy is more like it.There aren't a lot of other drafts where Franklin Gutierrez goes 90 picks before Vlad.

Obviously. There's no value to Gutierrez's stellar defense in your standard 5x5, but it is very useful when your team plays defense.

More or less. Vladdy may hit cleanup and Reynolds may be ahead of Wieters, but it's close.

Has to be ... Scott is Not A Starter in another projected line-up I'm looking at. Dates from Feb 28, though ... I guess things can change fast in spring training.

Scott isn't much of an OF, which make the Guerrero and Lee signings a little curious. They could be a fun team to watch but they're a way aways from needing an old slugger as their one final piece.
