We've just crossed the 50% point of this draft. If you're not going to be around, ask to be put on autoskip. It'll make the draft run a lot smoother and is very unlikely to matter in the final outcome. Guys like Paul Maholm and Chris Getz are not difference makers.

I'm guessing that whatever xx24 that is has passed.19.05 Alexi Casilla, SS MIN

Actually hoping he also plays a little 2B so he can back up both spots. Empty .270 average with good speed? I'd love that.

Maholm was at the top of my list.
:ptts:ETA: This is the reason why we're not ready to go to two-a-day picks. There's still a surprising amount of sniping going on. Lucroy was going to be my pick this morning.
Actually, McLellan was at the top of my list until I discovered he's long gone. Oops. I agree with you on the sniping. There's a few positions grinding down to the nub.

Whatever teams succeed in this thing are going to have to drain some of their half-court shots.
I've seem some solid teams posted. Health and backups to those that get injured are going to be big.
:goodposting: I think the teams that are successful will be the one's that stay healthy, but also cover themselves at all positions properly. I know there are some detractors to this idea, but this will truly be the most realistic league we've ever created. It's about surviving the marathon. Guys like Maholm and Getz do have value in that venture.

I agree. I like this draft much more than a fantasy draft. The waiting to see how everyone does, who gets hurt, etc... will be frustrating at times though.

I'm still going to throw these teams in a fantasy league at the end. Should be interesting to compare how they do there versus how they do in WIS.

So you're saying Getz wasn't a bad pick....Yippee

19.12 - Freddy Garcia, SP, NYY

Need some innings. Hopefully he can at least provide those...

Can someone send out the X signal, please?

Eephus, some projections have Freddy Sanchez listed as a utility infielder, expected to be eligible at 2B, SS, and 3B. Yet I noticed that in the sim's 2010 stats, Sanchez only has 2B eligibility. Did he play other IF positions in the past?

He's never played anywhere else as a Giant
