Lots of ABs for Mike Young now.

Isn't Moreland their starting 1b at this point also or are you expecting to see a lot of Napoli or CDavis?

All these developments sound positive for Napoli. The less I have to bat Nick Hundley, the better.

Moreland is the starting 1B, but you can expect to see a lot of Young with a little of Napoli there if Moreland is called to the OF. If Borbon does not make the Opening Day roster, Moreland is the only player outside of Hamilton, Cruz and Murphy with any OF experience.As for Napoli, I think he loses some DH at-bats just because you have to be careful with your back-up catcher and don't want to risk possibly losing your starting catcher and back-up in the same game if the back-up is playing DH. Then again, I'm not the OSB and have no idea how he is going to play this out.

Feel pretty good about it. Got some decent value out of most of the picks. Catchers are terrible, but that was the price I paid for not using a top 10 pick on one of the top 15 or so. Pitching went on a serious run between my 3rd and 4th picks, actually planned to take Sabathia or Kershaw there. Given that, I think everything worked out alright. ERA and WHIP are actually on target without a pitcher in the first 5 rounds. I feel like I should be able to piece together a decent OF4 and OF5 from Gordon, Ludwick, Hawpe, Joyce, and Borbon. Feel the same about SP6/SP7 from Arroyo, Matsuzaka, Zito, and Vargas.

FWIW, I completely agree. I took him a round or two early just to make sure I landed him. Felt it was pretty important given I had waited so long for my OF4. His spring certainly looks to be pointing towards a revitalized hitter, which means I'm sure he's in for another disappearing act.

Possibly. Had him as OF #72 on my rankings. He was best available on my list in the 22nd round. I figure at worst he's a play on road weeks as the 5th OFer. I don't have any illusions of 2008 dancing in my head. A solid 260/70/20/70 line is my expectation.

I expected a reach on Rolen comment, but that was more a "I'm scared to death of my 3B alternatives if I don't take Rolen here" pick.
