WIS MMXIII Back to the Future 3 - MLB107075 (2 Viewers)

We need three proxy picks to bring Larryboy up to 40.Other than that, the draft is closed and rosters are frozen. Thanks to everyone for keeping this moving. Special kudos to Kraft and Rodg for bossing the draft while I was busy scouting the Marlins and Astros. If I missed thanking anyone, it's just because I'm thoughtless and rude.
Just slaving away putting all of the players in fantrax right now, can't think of anyone to thank.
Thank the academy and Frostillicus

From today's Baseball Prospectus:

This spring, scouts are raving about how much he has improved. Harper is hitting .444/.459/.806 with three home runs in 37 plate appearances this spring.“He’s looked great all spring,” said a scout who regularly covers the Nationals. “He’ll definitely be a 30-30 guy this year, and he might even push 40-40. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is the best player in the National League by the end of the season. He’s going to take off this season the way Mike Trout did with the Angels last year.”

Remember that time Ruben Gotay hit like .600 in the spring? That was cool.

Out of forty-five

Forty not in Triple-A

Record for my squad

EDIT: Improved second line

2/5 of my rotation probably headed to AAA. No haikus.
Last year ... didn't all but maybe one of your guys have appreciable MLB stats? Seems you filled out a 25-man WIS roster, then six minor-leaguers, and still had several guys to dangle for David Price & Justin Verlander.I think the Price trade took me from a 55-60-win team to a 74-win team

Yeah last year went much better than this year. It's early but some picks look like big misses this year. I managed to avoid that last year.

Thinking about using the GoogleDoc as my cheatsheet in a Yahoo league draft tonight. And laugh manically at all the talent still available at the end of the draft.

Matt Carpenter - 3B - Cardinals

Matt Carpenter appears to have earned the Cardinals' starting second base job.

The Cardinals released Ronny Cedeno on Tuesday and will have to use Daniel Descalso as their utility infielder this season. That opens second base for Carpenter, who entered play Tuesday batting .415/.510/.610 this year in the Grapefruit League. He's a legitimate fantasy sleeper.

I needed this to happen for my team. Really went out on a limb drafting him and not much else as a fallback.

For my brick and mortar auction league I got down to two players left to draft with $7, and I wanted like 30 guys. Of those probably five were drafted, lol.

:lmao: It's a free league with an old buddy from junior high. Almost every other guy in the draft besides me is in Cleveland, so I pretty much am in good shape as long as I don't want any Indians. Played magic football with these guys in the fall and they were going 3rd and 4th on the Browns depth chart before some starters were going. Depending on my draft position, might try to come up with some decent shtick to share tomorrow. You know, other than draft nothing but Rangers.
