WIS side project: The RBI Baseball era (1 Viewer)

Guys, I'm home. Let me tuck the kids in, grab a Shiner, get turned down by the wife, and then I will pick.

Calvin Schiraldi CL

Larry Sheets OF

Basically cobbeling outfielders. Had my eye on Sheets for a while now - .560+ SLG and a good average doesnt grow on trees.

If TRE wants to pick that's fine.

There's no one out there that would break my heart if he gets taken. If there was I'd know about him and pick him.

God help me with D range all around. I won't make many errors - namely because I wont be getting to most balls. :coffee:

Odd thing is, I have never been a HR heavy team in this, however we are not exactly going against deadballers either. Might have some HRs this go around, and if so, thats a tough middle of the order to get though.

Pitching:

SP1 1986 Dwight Gooden.... R 250 2.84 .215 1.11 7.20 2.88 0.61 200-80

SP2 1986 Mike Witt .............R 269 2.84 .221 1.08 6.96 2.44 0.74 208-73

10.10 Scott Fletcher - SS

Best SS remaining (really!!) and I will take the 0.300 average and A/D at this rate.

Who was the first athlete from any sport to make 1 million dollars a year in the Dallas/Fort Worth area??

WTF no repick? I've been painting all night, there have been 10 picks since my dup. no clock at night right?
No clock at night but we usually would continue on if someone drafted a guy already taken. Commish?
Everybody just went on picking, so I assumed that was the precedent. I can't remember it happening before, usually already taken picks get pointed out real fast.In hindsight it doesn't seem fair... if Kraft had said #### the draft and not picked at all he wouldn't get skipped, but we skip for an honest mistake? I'm inclined to say he gets a repick.

If Kraft really was to go with Schiraldi, I wouldnt want him to get screwed unfairly.

Sure Kraft? Dont want you to get screwed for making an after hours pick. Even if I need everything I can get after my last couple sim debacles. :bag:

12.2 Mike LaCoss, SP

Hopefully Uribe and Lemon have shored up my defense enough for him, since he couldn't strike out my grandmother.

1. RF Tony Gwynn L 680 .370 .447 .511 B/C

2. LF Danny Tartabull R 667 .309 .390 .541 C+/D-

3. 1B Jack Clark R 558 .286 .459 .597 C/B+

4. 2B Tim Teufel R 350 .308 .398 .545 C+/D-

5. CF Chet Lemon R 553 .277 .376 .481 A/B+

6. C Lance Parrish R 374 .257 .340 .483 B/A/A+

7. 3B TBD

8. SS Jose Uribe S 340 .291 .343 .424 A-/B

Aggregate: 3522 2995 137 489 81-22 563-473 21.9 .305 .401 .516 B/C+

Love the OBP, probably my team's biggest strength. Power is decent but not quite as good as I hoped. Defense is getting better but still a weakness. Still too many PA I need to add at some thin positions.

SP Bob Knepper L 258 3.14 .242 1.14 4.99 2.16 0.66 143-62

SP Danny Cox R 222 2.90 .234 1.13 4.42 2.45 0.57 108-60

SP Mike Lacoss R 205 3.57 .240 1.22 3.79 3.08 0.62 86-70

SP John Candelaria L 92 2.55 .206 1.03 7.95 2.55 0.39 81-26

RP Tim Burke R 91 1.19 .196 0.89 5.74 1.68 0.30 58-17

Aggregate: 56-40-18 868 2.91 .231 1.12 4.95 2.45 0.56 476-235

Starting rotation should be decent... Knepper and Cox are a solid 1-2 and Candelaria is 40% of an ace. Only need a few more starts. Burke will be a dominant closer but my bullpen depth could be shaky... one of the poisons I picked I guess.

Overall... meh. Decent draft but nothing sets my team apart except maybe the OBP.

And he gets his pick in while destroying what little momentum we had last night, but also stalling us most of the morning. AWESOME.
