Well, my internet is back up. What a bad time for it to go down.
Wish I could have searched some, anyway, thanks for picking TU.

Wish I could have searched some, anyway, thanks for picking TU.for one, i work in the IS department of a hospital, thanks for asking...and for two, I'm getting ready for my cousin's wedding right now... we are leaving in like 45 minutes...Larry must be salting the fries right now.
Are you considering his 2B eligible season?Damn. Sniped on Ready, and I should've taken him first because I don't think Koya would've gone RP.
In that case... I'll join Kraft in saying F defense:
6.2 Danny Tartabull, OF

Bats are already thin. GB ignoring pitchers. To larryboy - I would be using my cell phone to draft if it were MY wedding. Priorities son.Second, gave a lot of thought to an OF with my last pick, but damn the pickings are getting ####### SLIM at MI. Ready was a no brainer (his offense alone is well up there regardless of position at this point), but getting a .390 OBP and .320 AVG from SS (even with ####ty range) was too much to pass up. While there were a few nice guys at loaded positions, that chance to fill my leadoff or #2 hitter from a weak position couldnt be overlooked.

Probably not although it has crossed my mind. His other season is just so much better offensively. It is possible that a 2B run and some crazy OF value later on could make me reconsider. Are you considering his 2B eligible season?Damn. 58 Mississippi...59 Mississippi...give me a minute to look up some things
I would disagree. I think there have been a couple pitching plateaus (including a signficiant one now), but the drop from the first two studs (its not just scott but clemens) to the next tier is considerable... though with these lineups, a good pitcher might be very very good, we just have to lower our standards because of the thin talent pool. However, after the top 5, there was another signficiant drop, and after about 4-5 more, then there was a very long plateau imo.If you didnt go pitching very early, you probably dont need to now vs. later, but I do believe going pitching in the first 2-3 rounds (should have been first round and a half, but surprisingly some guys stuck around) gives a signficiant advantage there. That said, when your lineup goes against a weak pitching staff, could be ugly. But if a good lineup goes against Larry Boy as your 2nd starter, not sure what the score might be by the time it gets to Eck.Bats are already thin. I just texteded him...Mr. Phoenix hasn't been around all day

We'll revisit this when I'm kicking your team's ### in.I would disagree. Regardless, good idea here with two years and I really like 12 teams. Goes quick. Should do lots of these.![]()

Good pick. It was a coinflip between him and Sandberg for me.
For our next 12 or 16 teamer, I'd like to see the Eephus dream of doing a WWII era sim come to life.Regardless, good idea here with two years and I really like 12 teams. Goes quick. Should do lots of these.
Christ. I may get forced into using Tartabull's 2B season.Good pick. It was a coinflip between him and Sandberg for me.
I actually had him typed in for me with my last pick instead of Franco. The idea of having three uber HR hitters at Fenway was VERY enticing. But then reason got the better of me - I already had two great power hitters, neither with very good OBP. Plus, its such a deep position I figured I could get something there.. plus, if I didnt get a SS I didnt know what might be left at MI to help me out there and a SS that could also fill a needed position in my lineup (namely, with some OBP) was too much to pass. But thats great value with Hawk, even if he won't get a walk so save his life.6.10 - Andre "The Hawk" Dawson
No worries. I'll go delete...Sorry Greco, thought you were out, so I just picked.

This was the player I was most surprised at when I looked at the stats. I saw his 87 season as a godlike achievement growing up, but he doesn't walk and his best defensive days were behind him. That said, 49 HR in the 6th round ain't a bad thing.6.10 - Andre "The Hawk" Dawson
Make note that BoGreco will be playing in Arlington. It's where the Rangers used to play. Not sure how or why we picked it.

I still remember sneaking in for games and seeing how close to home plate I could sit until someone would come and boot me out of their seat. One time, in 1989, I made it all the way to the On-Deck circle...No.RnR been emailed yet?
The MVP award was sort of a lifetime achievement award and a feel good story after he went to Chicago on a cut-rate free agent deal. It also helped that Ozzie Smith and Jack Clark split the St. Louis vote. This was the player I was most surprised at when I looked at the stats. Not a bad thing at all. Had I not already had two power hitters, and if I did not have one corner OF with a D+ range, I might have risked losing out on MI. But as mentioned, will be some scary starters at 2B and SS here. This was the player I was most surprised at when I looked at the stats. oops, sorrycoming right upMake note that BoGreco will be playing in Arlington. It's where the Rangers used to play. Not sure how or why we picked it.Still need a stadium from TU.
I'm guessing my 2B and SS will combine for more errors than extra-base hits.Gwynn/Clark/Tartabull will be a murderer's row, but after that... ugh.Not a bad thing at all.
