WIS side project: The RBI Baseball era (1 Viewer)

Gee, thanks for making me scramble to pick while I was enjoying myself with my family at the horse racing track, and then no other picks happen.

Now, I have a garbage player to show for it. Really, thanks #######s.

Ok, maybe Bannister isn't THAT ####ty compared to what's left on the starting pitcher front, but there were better pitchers out there that I would have loved to have researched. From 5 PM central yesterday until 9 PM central last night, I had 0 research time.

8.10 - Lou Whitaker - 2B

Like the A/A- defense in the middle of the field, and has a nice power/speed not totally slow situation that should not be a total loss in our lineup.

One-player list sent to Sparty. If for some reason I get sniped, please email me and I'll make another pick in the morning.

9.05- C Benito Santiago, Call Me Benny

His OBP will be kind of a ####, but since he played 146 games, he'll lessen my need for a backup. Plus, the guy can rake and offers above-average defense.

I believe that's 4 catchers only. :coffee:
not bad considering there weren't any good ones to start with
At this point, I think all players are going to have at least one gaping hole in their game. With Santiago, it's OBP. With other catchers, it might be lack of ABs, poor BA, or a noodle for a throwing arm.

BTW, what time does the clock go until in the evening? We going to 7 or 8 like in most drafts?
I've just got it at 5... usually don't see too many problems with drafting at that hour.
Anyone have an issue if we extend to at least 6, if not 7 or 8? If some people won't have access I understand but we usually do that, and especially on late starting days like today, it can get in an extra run or so in the late afternoon.
