WIS V All-Time Baseball Draft: HARRRRRRRIFIC (1 Viewer)

Question: do outfielders have to fill a certain outfield slot (i.e. Bonds is not allowed to play center -or- gets penalized if you play him in center)? Similarly, does the DH have to have played DH for most of his actual career?

No, your OF's can play any of the OF positions.

DH is an intirguing question, but I don't think that will matter.

If I can find alternate owners, can we pull some guys out of here so certain posters can concentrate 100% on the WIS hockey draft brought to you by The Big One?  Each of these threads deserve an owner's 100% attention and I think if we avoid guys doing both drafts it'll be beneficial to both threads.
I vote yes to this proposal
Seriously, you can't run one draft and expect to give a decent effort in the other. Get that Hov guy back in and give him your spot. Lastresort is here and well and Larry had said he wanted to do it too. That's 3 guys who can bow out (Rude, Funk, and whoever else needs to).
Mr Phoenix, you can have my spot and I promise not to be a smart ### to you anymore if you please take the team. Please.I'm begging here.....
If you quit there will be no more lovin' and I'll have to hunt you down and kill you.
Stealing Kohm's shtick?
No shtick, chief. Don't go there.

Yeah, you're good with any available batter as a DH.

Holy crap, this thing is really starting - no way I can do this now - next week, maybe, after that I'm free for about 2 months, but not now.  I thought we'd finish the stadium draft and then start players and I thought that would be a week from now.  Sorry, no shtick I can't do this.
:lmao:
Is this guy in or not?

Is H to the o v out?
I think it's just some good jitterbug shtick

isn't Harrier the guy who usually gets pissed when people show up in the thread and then disappear without making a pick?

I'll give 8-1 odds he doesn't take a Ruth.
That would've been interesting if '20 or '21 slipped to his 4th pick, but at this point you'd have to offer 250 to 1 odds before I'd consider it.
His #1-1a pick is still there. He will take him.
Yup.I'm shocked. I knew he'd be gone, and was going to take a pitcher instead.

Now he's not gone, so I get the #1 pick in the #4 slot.

Don't know where Pump is, but I take:1.05: 1922 Rogers Hornsby

.401 avg, 42 HR, 17 SB, .459/.722/1.181

Bill James calls Hornsby’s 1922 season the best by a second baseman ever. A little Hornsby story from the Abstract:

“1925 Hornsby was on the field, arguing loudly with Art Fletcher, when all of a sudden, without warning, he punched Fletcher in the face. Later a reporter asked him why he had hit Fletcher.

‘Well,’ replied Hornsby very seriously, ‘I wasn’t making any progress trying to talk to him.’”

So he’s feisty. He’s a great player. And he plays a position where the great seasons aren’t quite as plentiful as some others. I’m very happy to start my first ever WIS/FBG/BBT team with Rajah.

OTC...

***Update - WIS V Babes Galore***

Player Draft

01.01- GWB/Bogart - Babe Ruth (1920)

01.02- Kraft - Babe Ruth (1921)

01.03- Rudnicki - Babe Ruth (1923)

01.04- mrharrier - Barry Bonds (2004)

01.05- Frostillicus - Rogers Hornsby (1922)

01.06- Hov34- On The Clock

Hov is OTC that is if his mini meltdown yesterday was just shtick.

Stadium Draft

Of course Koya lied to us (maybe Nipsey was right  ) and never came back and picked a stadium.

Ulysses Norris is OTC for a stadium.

Bogart isn't going to like this one bit.
