WIS XV: Alphabet Soup with a side of Salary- Draft & Season Thread (1 Viewer)

Martinez, Santana, and Zito with Lidge as a closer...

And Olerud and Jeter at 1st and SS...

I'm pretty happy... Plus even though I have s and m done, I at least have a z, an o, a j, and an l which are all less common letters...

I'm probably playing Jim Thome at 3B. Shows what I think of defense over there.
Hmmmm ... I thought the death of Harrrr-ball more or less proved WIS teams needed defense to a significant extent. Or are you implying it''s not so imporant at the corners as it is up the middle (like real life)?
That definitely might be what I'm implying.
I think it's more a team balance issue. You can have a few holes, you just can't have a whole field of them.

Kubes ==== up
He's now feeling pressure to match his new found strategy that you credited him with.
I'm actually curious what would happen if his team and mine played each other. In my park we'd hit 8 HRs a game and in his park we couldn't score to save our lives.
So just to be clear, you subscribe to the Koya newsletter on ballpark effects and line-ups?
I'm not sure what that means. But I know that putting HR prone pitchers in a park that is + for HRs is a very, very bad idea.

FWIW, I'm still higher on lineups (yes, I said higher) than bp effects overall - although I agree that HR's are an issue if not tended to.

teams I like so far:Sparty - crushing it, even though I don't love Big macTre - though I don't see how Verlander goes with PfiesterKubes - zigging where everyone zagsT-up - but let's see how the pitching ends upteams with a good start:KraftSCBFShake - though he may run out of letters
:sadbanana:
:sadbanana:jfranco probably looks at my lack of lefty pop and name pitching and laughs.
Seaver is kinda overrated in the sim. I like Foxx. I like Campy. I'm kind of on the fence about Kent. I do like Higuera.
I used the season I'll be using for Kent in a prior sim and he absolutely murdered. No thrilled about Seaver, but he should be good for 300 decent innings. Pitching got snarfed up in a hurry.

I predict good things for Seaver in this SIM, even if he was the beginning of a Larry Plateau.

Exactly. (says the guys with a SS with A+ range.)

I have a list; however, it's my to do list for this coming weekend given by the wife. you can have it if you want, no, she isn't on the list.

teams I like so far:

Sparty - crushing it, even though I don't love Big mac

Tre - though I don't see how Verlander goes with Pfiester

Kubes - zigging where everyone zags

T-up - but let's see how the pitching ends up

teams with a good start:

Kraft

SCBF

Shake - though he may run out of letters
That was kind of the point. One should work where the other doesn't, right?

TREsheet holders, btw

6.14 Cal Ripken Jr., SS

Would've rather had Valentin for the better bat and letter scarcity, but the A+ range will be sweet. And obviously he comes with 162 games worth of PA.

This is a great point. Especially with as busy as I have been this week, without the Tresheet I'd be lost.If I win it all we're voting you a full playoff share GB
