Wk 3 - If Steve Breaston Is Out (1 Viewer)

Not much in the way of WR options in AZ. If Breaston is out, the rookie might get a lot of action today. Two big targets for the strong armed Anderson, at home in the dome. Gotta admit, I am just desperate enough at WR these days to do something crazy and start him if Breaston is out.

Williams might get the start and not give it back. Nande will be draped on Fitz and Doucet/out Breaston /banged up will probably not play. Kid has lots of upside and DA has trust in him. Good 1 week play, if he plays well may move Breaston to slot.

Asomugha would seem to be a serious concern for Anderson and the Cardinals. Their passing attack was inconsistent the first two games and Asomugha will likely shadow Fitz all day. Will Anderson challenge him and and try to force the ball to Fitz or will he take his chances trying to put it in the vicinity for the big rookie to haul it in?

Oakland is allowing something like 150 yds passing per game...let me check that...137 per game actually, they have 5 sacks on the season, but they allow 7.6 yds per attempt which is a very interesting stat. Teams are not trying hard enough perhaps to throw the football. Vince Young and Sam Bradford so maybe those 2 guys won't throw it as much as DAnderson today. I like what the rookie did in the preseason but somehow I see a lot of THT and Beanie today as Oakland is allowing a very Robin Hood like 140 on the ground and 4.7 ypc. Just my .02

Vince Young and Sam Bradford likely were not going to throw the ball 40-50 times a piece. Anderson could throw more in the Cards game plan this week however I look at AZ as having a pretty good ground attack right now so in theory they should attack Oakland from the ground. Oakland is giving up 7.6 yds per attempt. Other teams around them in terms of yds per game are only allowing 5-6 yds per attempt, perhaps 6.5 so the total number of yds they allow on pass defense is a little misleading...Washington is allowing 7.8 yds per attempt but they are giving up 370 per game.

Anderson could test the Raiders more this week.
