Women's March on Washington (1 Viewer)

Just checking in, it's been a few days now, did the women get their rights back that Trump took from them or can we expect another protest soon?

Planning has apparently begun for another big protest on April 15.
Good.  Can you imagine all the rights that will be taken from them by then?  They probably won't be allowed to go outside without their bodies and faces covered by then.  Although I'm not sure that's worthy of a protest, that's no where near as bad as someone saying women let him grab them like 10 or 15 years ago.

"Just checking in, it's been a few days now, did the black people get their jobs and freedom or can we expect another protest soon?"

I've seen this a lot too ... When an iStalker creeps around and stalks someone then pretends they aren't stalking, acting all incredulous that someone would even bring it up: "Stalking?  Lil' O'l me?  Why I do declare!".  Please, we all know your game.

And who are you referring to with this term "Trumpkin"?  Me? :lmao:    You got the wrong poster, @Loves You.  I don't defend the Donald.  I simply point out the incredible HYPOCRISY of the left.
Or when they get called out for whining more than a woman, they take their ball and go home (I.e. Cry to a mod until they give out a ban).  I got a timeout because Ramblin Wreck reported me because I said he whined more than a woman :lmao:  Hypocrisy? Indeed, snowflake :lmao:

Ive said it before and I'll say it again ... don't flatter yo'self. In fact, you've made it to ignore. Congrats! :confetti:

ETA: you're so vain to think it was calling you out specifically.

He's signing an executive order today taking away their right to drive and then he's rounding up anyone with an alternative lifestyle .

They're your words, my friend.   All I did was swap "women" with "black people" and "rights" with "jobs and freedom."  Next time maybe clean up the trolling a bit?
Then they aren't my words, with all your swapping.  Having trouble answering my question?  Did they get their rights back?  Comparing today's women with civil rights era African Americans is about as weak as anything you've posted on here.  Try harder and clean up your snark a bit

No, they didn't.  And I wasn't comparing the two, I was highlighting the extraordinary stupidity of your question.  Did you ask the Tea Party marchers if they'd succeeded in reducing federal spending three days after their 2009 march?

Can we get a quick synopsis of the rights Trump has taken from them that they want back? I know the list will be super long but maybe you could put all the issues in a Google doc or something so we don't overload the FBG servers.

Now you're the one not answering my question- did you ask the Tea Partiers if they had succeeded in reducing federal spending three days after their march?  If not, why not?

Anyway, the various goals of the march have already been discussed here. If you don't want to read back through the thread, or if you prefer to go to the source, I'm sure other places on the internet can tell you what the organizers of the march hoped to accomplish in both the short and long term. You mentioned google docs in your post, so I assume you're familiar with the google search engine that's been around even longer. That should help you obtain the information you seek with far less effort than the method you suggest. I'm pleased to hear about your interest in women's rights, good luck and happy reading!

For what it's worth, I'm not sure that I saw very many signs on Saturday about specific womens' rights that Trump was planning to take away. I guess there were some pro-choice signs, but those were dwarfed by the number of plain old anti-Trump signs.

So this really was just a whining protest because they lost?  Not really anything to do with women's rights or empowerment, just upset that they lost....

I was just trying to extend an olive branch in hopes he'd actually answer the question.  But that appears to have not worked and he keeps dodging it.  I think we all know why...
You're better than this. Come on.

Here's your answer.

Your turn: did you ask the tea partiers if they succeeded in reducing federal spending three days after their march in 2009?  And if the answer is no, why not?

People went for a lot of different reasons. I wouldn't use the word "whining."  But yeah, I'd say the most dominant reason for people attending the march was to express their antipathy towards Trump in a public way.

I don't think that pointing to the march's platform thrown together a few days earlier is a good indicator of why people were really there.  My guess is that the vast majority of march attendees didn't read it.  As someone who was there, I feel pretty confident in saying that it was primarily just an anti-Trump rally.

I don't see any posts from you asking the same question of the tea party marchers three days after their march in 2009.  Maybe that's due to the limitations of the search, but if not can you explain why you are holding the women's march to a different standard?

As you know I've had nice things to say about you in the past. I'd hate to think I was wrong and that you're just a Trump troll like some of our other friends here. Whaddya say, GB?  I answered your question.  I did use LMGTFY, so be snarky if you like, but at least extend the same courtesy I extended to you.

I didn't say anything about the tea party, during or after their marches.  I didn't need to because they had a clear message and I could easily tell that their goal wasn't accomplished 3 days after.  Since no one can seem to explain the goal of this march/protest/whinefest, you get people asking questions.  Mission accomplished?

Or when they get called out for whining more than a woman, they take their ball and go home (I.e. Cry to a mod until they give out a ban).  I got a timeout because Ramblin Wreck reported me because I said he whined more than a woman :lmao:  Hypocrisy? Indeed, snowflake :lmao:

Ive said it before and I'll say it again ... don't flatter yo'self. In fact, you've made it to ignore. Congrats! :confetti:

ETA: you're so vain to think it was calling you out specifically.
When the truth hurts, put it on ignore!

And here I thought we were becoming besties.

Timing that would have mattered:

  1. Trump nominated
  2. Exposed as misogynist, thin skinned, know-nothing
  3. Marches
  4. Voting
Timing that actually happened:

  1. Trump nominated
  2. Exposed as misogynist, thin skinned, know-nothing
  3. Elected POTUS
  4. Marches
Not to diminish the effort, but the timing being off I believe is part of the point of those asking "what did it accomplish".

It's very weak.

:lmao:  I didn't hit the report button once. You got a timeout probably because of your own behavior and comments and maybe because of stalking me for over a month now. I've even asked you to put me on ignore because I clearly get under your skin but like trump, you respond to everything and then blame someone else.

I guess. A simple google search gave you plenty of articles and interviews where people discussed what they hoped to accomplish. If you're genuinely curious you can obviously read them, or like I said you can read back through the thread to get the thoughts of your fellow FBGs on what was/hopefully will be accomplished.

And FWIW the tea party didn't have nearly the clarity you suggest it did.  Several months after the march there were still articles like this one trying to explain the goals.
