Women's March on Washington (1 Viewer)

Slim?  He won 304 to 227.   While not huge it's certainly not a slim margin.

And here we go with the popular vote again.  ONE STATE - California - made this difference. Take CA out and Trump would have WON the popular vote by 1.4 million.
Take out TX and he loses the Electoral College.

Why does the popular  vote situation bother you guys so much?

Maybe those nutty broads were protesting all the winning that's going on. I didn't believe him at the time but Trump said some people would get tired of it.

Didn't somebody in here say it was 'just one guy' hurling the insults at the women - many of them family members of posters here - who marched?

You said that there was no attempt to restrict abortion during W's administration.  That's not true.
They had the numbers to eliminate abortion if they wanted.  It wouldn't have been popular, but if they wanted the ring it was there to grab.  They didn't grab.  The right to have an abortion (last I checked) is still the law of the land.

ETA: Forgot about late-term abortion.  He was all over stopping that practice.  Good Call fatguy, my bad.

Who is "they"?  What numbers?  Justice Kennedy has been in support of some abortion rights for his entire time on the Court.

At the beginning of the W administration, the Supreme Court considered a bill prohibiting partial birth abortion.  It was struck down 5-4.  So clearly they did not have the votes to strike down all abortion at that time.

After that, two important things happened.  The federal government passed its own partial birth abortion ban.  And Justice Alito replaced Justice O'Connor.  When the federal partial-birth ban was challenged, it was upheld 5-4.  Alito was in the majority (O'Connor had been on the other side in the previous case).  But one of the five in the majority was Kennedy, who years earlier had signaled his support for the basic principles of Roe.  So even though there was a narrow majority to uphold a partial birth abortion ban, they didn't have five votes to uphold a law entirely banning abortion.

That's the same place we are now.  Except that Kennedy is in his late 70s.  Not to mention that Ginsburg and Breyer are old.

This right is under attack at the state level. Its not hard to see - just look at all the laws enacted and lawsuits that follow.

Seriously, did anyone hear Madonna or Ashley Judd speak? Describing them as nutty broads is putting it kindly.

Congrats to all the misogynists in here today!  Great work!  You can pick up your trophy in the Assistant Coach Forum tomorrow.  It will read:

‘When You’re Accustomed to Privilege, Equality Feels Like Oppression’
I don't know if this counts as misogyny but; How can women use that thing as a weapon, reward system, attracter etc. and then get upset offended we notice they have one.

We're discussing the popular vote, not the electoral college.

It doesn't bother us as we're not the ones that keep bringing it up. All I'm doing is making a point that HRC popular vote advantage was from one state.

This one is only for the Libs.

Has anybody gotten their $2500 check yet from George Soros?  I'm expecting a little something extra because it rained here.

Agreed. Even if you are very anti-Trump, you have to be off the rails to get behind much of what she said.  Like you said, she sounded deranged.
I didn't see it.  What did she say that was offthe rails?

"Let's see, Mr. Soros... $2500 times... looks like about 2.5 million.  Very expensive protest.  Let's do it again April 15."

Everyone is still waiting on their $2500 in savings from Obamacare.  So... good luck with that.

Obamacare and Soros are like the @cstu of government and liberal elites.

And yet we are the ones getting most of the timeouts. Your side likes that report button.
Probably because you guys use the report button a little too much and the mods are tired of it.  Just a guess.

Perhaps BOTH sides can throttle back on the insults of others and stop using the report button altogether.  And perhaps Heidi Klume will agree to make some sex with me this year too.

Probably not Klume.  I'm sure Rosanne Barr can oblige you, though. ;)

It only seems like yesterday that it was fashionable to use the term tea-baggers...but I guess that was actually a term of endearment...
It was first used by the Tea Party people, until it was explained to them that there was another meaning
