The deal changes daily so a link that pointed to something back on 8/1 could now point to something completely different on 8/18. Moreover, when a woot off is going on the page will display something new as soon as the previous item sells out during the same day.

If they wear out, I'll need the replacements. If they're great I can use them as gifts. If they don't work...well, how the heck can something like this not work? It's not rocket surgery, after all.
So far this woot off has been a hit with me. Used the coupon to get a T-Shirt for my boy (the knock knock one), got some stuff for Christmas otherwise:
3 decent binoculars for $30
A crappy HD camcorder for < $50
A "defuse the bomb" pipe fitter type game for $5

Same thing happened today. As soon as the bag o' crap was offered, the woot servers slowed to a crawl. By the the page loaded and I placed my order, I got an error. Nah, just saying they don't offer cool stuff anymore. Seems to be a constant rotation of the same crap. I remember several years ago they offered a video card that was released the same day for an amazing price. That was cool to see. Roomba Elite Pro 10,000? Not so much.

I disagree. I bought a Roku XR two weeks ago for $60. I never would have considered something like that on my own, but the price and explanation on Woot had me saying, "Well, Apple TV is going to cost more and its not even out yet....I'll give this a try." I LOVE the thing.

Update. I finally got around to trying to use this. It's actually a SATA drive, which is cool. But I can't get my current computer to recognize it. I've got an enclosure that allows me to use an internal hard drive as if it were an external drive, and the enclosure works with two of the other hard drives I've tried it with (one PATA, one SATA). But with this one, when I connect the enclosure/drive to the USB port, my current computer doesn't know that it's there. It shouldn't be an issue with drivers. I think the hard drive just may be no good. (Not too surprising the way it was packaged for shipping, I guess.)I just received it but haven't opened it yet. I'm going to open it right now.<pause>
1. A Western Digital hard drive (IDE). It doesn't have any packaging -- it's not even wrapped in cellophane or anything. It was just in the box, naked. It also doesn't come with any cables to hook up to the power source. It's 120 GB, and has a "29 Aug 2003" stamped on it along with a smiley face. I think this is it. This by itself surpasses all my expectations.

On the other hand, this stuff is really good. From the random bag, this is the only thing I'm getting any use out of; but it's well worth it.
I was trying to order 1 of those Senz Umbrellas and it keeps saying out of stock in every color but the item never changes

Eh, Woot kind of sucks now. They don't seem to have the killer deals that they had at one time. Some of the other deal a day type sites seem to have much better deals on a regular basis.

Haven't bought anything from Woot in a while and I got a packege from them today. When I opened it up it was a Valentine letter from Woot (including a gift This Mini Monkey) plus a few Valentine cards.
The letter was funny.
