Worst 5 NFL teams as of week 16. (1 Viewer)

1. Oakland - They're a permanent lock here. They may be worse than the '76 Bucs.

2. Tennessee - Even after giving Indy all they wanted, this team still stinks.

3. Houston -

4. Detroit - Blowing a lead like that to a team like that is baaaaaad.

5. Miami - They're starting Joey Harrington. JOEY HARRINGTON!

32. Raiders

31. Titans

30. Bucs

29. Lions

28. Packers

Cardinals (especially if Fitz is out for the season)

Texans

I've been doing power rankings since Week 2 and the Bottom 5 have been fairly consistent... 32. Oakland

31. Tennessee

30. SanFran

29. Houston

28. Green Bay

Miami and Detroit are dangerously close... but they both could've easily won this week.
The 49ers can at least put up some points to overcome their terrible defense, the Bucs can't.The Texans have an offense and defense that are getting better.

That vote for San Fran seems out of place. They're still in the bottom 1/3 of the league, but I don't see them as the third worst overall.

Titans hold a late lead on Indy on the road and people think they are still the 2nd worst team in the NFL.

Oak

Deet

GB

Tenn

Houston

4 winless teams, but 1 of them I think could go 3-0 in a round robin:

32. Oakland - Al Davis' fault. I really want to evaluate Shell outside of Oakland, I'm thinking it's hard to get a staff there with the undying one's need for the vertical passing game.

31. Tennessee - Jeff Fisher's star is falling hard. No excuse for starting Collins. Front office is to blame for the boondoggle of a QB situation, but Fisher could've demanded he come in sonner or not at all.

30. Tampa Bay - This is the most confusing pile of dreck. Chucky needs some blame here, as well as the FO. I think injuries have hurt a lot, but if your offense is in the same class as OAK & TEN, it's horrible.

29. Detroit - they're winless, but they will start picking it up soon if Williams is healthy. It's a Martz thing, but maybe soon.

28. Of all the 1-win teams (CLE, PIT, MIA, HOU, ARI, GB) I'm going to put Miami here. It looks like biggest trainwreck. They are likely the second or third biggest (behind PIT & TB) disappointment to most people in the league. I wasn't buying the hype, and now we've got an ugly QB situation.

Oakland - I only saw the first half yesterday, and thought Walter looked pretty good. Obviously, the real one showed in the second half.

Houston - Still violently mediocre at every position.

Tennessee - Peyton Manning: "Can I go back to my nap now?"

Detroit - THAT's the Kitna we knew and loved in Cincy.

Miami - Now starting the man Kitna replaced.

Green Bay moved off the list 'cause they really showed a spark behind Noah Herron yesterday. I can't believe I just said that...

11 rushes 16 yards

and half of the yards came on from Kitna on one scramble.

nobody is that bad. Detroit is by far the worst squad in the NFL. No passion, no fire, no desire.... FIRE MILLEN

I'd be shocked if they didn't end up with a top 5 pick... and by no means is their schedule tough. Were they not losing 20-10 to Oak at Halftime?

I watched the game and thought Detroit played hard throughout even after their best players went down with injuries. Trust me, they could have rolled over easily. As for KJ's poor performance, credit the Vikes' defense.

I want to take this opportunity to thank those crappy teams who won this weekend, making this very difficult to do.

1. Oakland - Well. At least they have the chance to be historic.

2. Houston - David Carr was their leading rusher yesterday. Think about that one.

3. Arizona - I almost feel bad for Leinart. Then I remember how much he likely got in college, then I don't.

4. Miami - They're STILL starting Joey Harrington. JOEY HARRINGTON!

5. Tennessee - Congratulations. You beat Washington.

Almost cracking the list - Cleveland (unless they got better during the bye), Kansas City, San Francisco, Washington

Detroit & Tampa Bay- I'm glad to take them out of the top 5. They aren't as bad as their records.

Seems okProllyOakland - No contest Miami - Considering preseason hopes were long playoff run and now this. Wow.Houston - Looks clueless on both sides of the ball. Don't forget they actually found a way to beat Miami. Yay.Arizona - Shows some signs of life with Leinart, but with no Fitz they should keep getting rolled.KC - Herm Edwards showing that he's the 2nd worst coach in the NFL. And KC gave draft picks for him :lmao: .

As much as I hate to say it, after the past two weeks, the Redskins should be 5A on this list, or tied with KC for 5th worst. :bag:

How does Houston beat Jacksonville so badly?

Is it all that surprising that Oakland beat Arizona after their MFL debacle?

The new list:

1. Oakland - I don't care that they beat Arizona. Under different circumsances, they don't win that game.

2. Arizona - Warning: Implosion in progress.

3. Miami - WTF happened to this team?

4. Cleveland - The season was over when Bentley went down. This is just how it plays out.

5. Detroit/Buffalo/Tennessee/Houston (despite the win)

As evidenced by bad teams winning this weekend - Even blind squirrels pick up nuts every now and then.

1a. Arizona- play calling sucks, team can't find an identity for itself, and still manages to implode despite controlling everything but the score (see 1c).

1b. Miami- no signs of consistency here either- QBs aren't getting it done, O-line is a mess, and the team is making bad penalties. They're at least "healthy" which is why I put ARI behind them.

1c. Oakland- really trying to give games away even when they try. Defense is showing signs of promise (at least at home), but Jordan having back problems reduces them to a one-play playbook- deep to Moss.

2. Cleveland- teams starting to take Winslow out of the game and they still don't have a decent running game. Needs someone to step up.

3. Tennessee- jury's still out on whether they can build on their win over WAS, but Vince Young is still in early Michael Vick mode and I can't buy Travis Henry 2003 for long.

Sliding fast and due to end up on this list- BUF (JP Losman still isn't consistent) and WAS (squandered talent, tough division, can't seem to regroup when falling behind).

1. Arizona-When you lose to the only previously winless team which gives them the same identical record as you (1-5) than you are the worst team in football.

2. Oakland-Good to see Moss smiling. Still the Raiders stink.

3. Washington-Their secondary is a mess. They reached deep in the pocketbook to sign Archuleta, Randle-El, Andre Carter, Brandon Lloyd, Al Saunders etc....and have 2-5 to show for it.

4. Miami-I honestly have no clue whats going on in Mia. Joey has cemented his status as a true bum and maybe Matt Millen should get cut some slack based on what we're seeing.

5. Detroit/Cleveland-Bottom Feeders and there doesn't look to be a silver lining coming anytime soon.

1. Miami - Truly horrible team. Focused on this game alot and was truly shocked at how inept that offense is.

2. Arizona - Maybe they are built for the future, but right now they've got nothing

3. Oakland - Beat a crappy team at home good for them

4. Detroit - Lucky for Millen the World series will go on thru next weekend

5. Cleveland - Thought they had sleeper potential this year espcially ATS. Now unbackable even at home.

1 Oakland. 1 competitive game, they still stink.

2 Cleveland. Going backwards.

3 Arizona. Finding new ways to lose each game.

4 Miami. How could an O-line decline so much in 1 year?

5 Tennessee. Having a nice run lately, but they're still pretty bad.

#5 I'll agree w/ the Chiefs, and the Herm subtraction by addition. Not just him, but losing Saunders, their tackles. Green will be out for a bit. That AFC West is looking pretty weak as a whole. #4. Houston I thoink you've got more upside than this, but this is where you are today. Granted it was a hungry Philly team with something to prove, but it was ugly. Both sides of the ball were beaten up pretty bad. I see you moving up from here, and KC moving here. #3 Tenn I never thought I'd see a Jeff Fischer team this low. What happened? Somebody mentioned switching QB's the week before the start of the season. How did you get here? First you drafted Vince Young. He'll never be an NFL QB. What's he got 2 pages of the playbook down? Another 40 seasons, and he'll have it? This isn't college where you can get by on talent. If Billy Volek wasn't the answer, why did you keep him around? Why didn't you trade him last year when teams wanted him? He had a lot of value? You blew it Jeff, and now you'll get fired. #2. GB Why did Brett Favre come back? Does he dislike Aaron Rodgers? Does he just want to deny the kid the opportunity to develop? Because that's the only purpose his presence is providing there. You were great at one point Brett Favre. But, you decided about 3 years ago that you were so great that you didn't need to work hard any more during the off season. I saw a dramatic drop off in your mechanics and preperation. Like Vince YOung, you cannot get by on talent alone. You still have great weeks, but as an NFL QB, you are done. YOu should have retired, and spared us the shame up watching you go down like this and having the memory of your pride forcing Aaron Rodgers to sit for another season just because of your selfishness. Maybe the Pack can win another game just because of you, but I don't think so. I think it's 6's, and better for the long term of the franchis to have him in there. #1. Oakland Are there any positives? Oh yeah, at least there are only 15 weeks until they can draft Brady Quinn. And, they even had an extra #1 from trading Doug Jolley to the Jets didn't they? How did they get this bad?
A lot has changed since week 1#5. Cleveland-It saddens me to see Romeo Crennels team here. I have to give them credit, they don't get hammered, they just lose. Offensively, you know it will be a struggle when a team loses it's top 2 centers before the season starts. Defensively, they're struggling. They're just not good. #4. Tennessee- Vince Young has surprised me. His athleticism is not a surprise. I know he can make plays. He's actually made a couple of plays from the pocket. The David Givens magic that made Tom Brady a 2 time SB MVP just hasn't caught on yet, must be the injury to Givens. This is a team that has no cohesion, but they have moved up from #3 early on, so they're not completely horrible. Or is it just that others have proven worse? #3. Miami- I'm no Miami fan, but this is a shocker to me. I have loved the play of Harrington, and he makes them a better team. But, the weakness is not QB, or RB, or anywher in the 'skill' positions. It's the line. They don't create lanes. They don't give time. They don't block well. Many people saw this weakness coming into the season, but I didn't think it would be this bad. The defense is aged, the line can't create space. Their run last year was an illusion. #2 Oakland- They looked good early in a game a couple of weeks back. Okay, it wasn't 'good', but they were up by I believe 14 yearly, and they eventually lost big, but it was the first sign of life from the team I had seen. I really wondered if they could win a game, but teams always pull it together for at least one. Remember, I am a Pats fan. I know little things like this. In the darkest night, the blind squirrel can find the acorn. But, the future looks black, luckily for Raider fans that goes well with silver. #1 Arizona- They are in full on team implosion mode. They had an incredible game agains the formerly invincible looking Bears, holding them without an offensive TD, and then follow that up by losing to the Raiders? Denny is stumbling around like a drunk sailor swnging a busted off 40 bottle, hacking at anybody in his way, and he caught the OC, who had just darn near won him the game against those same Bears, save for a kick missed by one of the better kickers in the game. This is what I expected from Herm and the Chiefs. That's the behavior that loses your team, and causes and implosion. Idiotic, sophomoric, childish behavior, not worthy of a HC. Coaches should be fired for that. What do you have to lose? It's not like he's turning it around? Same as Miami here. The O-LIne is the glaring weakness that jumps out. I worry about young QB's in this situation. It's ruined more than one promising career, taking this beating. I hope it doesn't do the same to Leinart. ON talent, no way does Arizona belong in this spot. They have been coached down here, in this coaches league.

1. Detroit - The team is as good as the owner's cars.

2. Oakland - Just finish out the season, baby.

3. Cleveland - Brown is the perfect color for this team.

4. Houston - Houston, we have a problem. Ron Dayne is our #1 rb.

5. Minnesota - Minneapolis, we have a problem. And his name is Brad Childress.
