Yuck. I'd want the Owens + Davis +#1 side of it too.i dont think this was a bad offer, but the guy just is not budging. i offered him fred taylor and keyshaun johnson for terrell owens, vernon davis and a 2007 1st round pick. obviously it is a dynasty league. this guy has one definate starting runningback in a league where you can start two and one flex. i figured i had this guys back to the wall but....
So Vernon Davis or the 1st '07 wasn't enough, you had to go for both.Wow what a surprise he didn't go for iti dont think this was a bad offer, but the guy just is not budging. i offered him fred taylor and keyshaun johnson for terrell owens, vernon davis and a 2007 1st round pick. obviously it is a dynasty league. this guy has one definate starting runningback in a league where you can start two and one flex. i figured i had this guys back to the wall but....

Wouldn't that make them the same person?maybe you two are in the same league?I did that myself... our league gives points for return yardage and ppr. Welker will destroy javon in scoring this year in this format.Someone just dropped Javon Walker for Wes Welker

This is a horrible offer.i dont think this was a bad offer, but the guy just is not budging. i offered him fred taylor and keyshaun johnson for terrell owens, vernon davis and a 2007 1st round pick. obviously it is a dynasty league. this guy has one definate starting runningback in a league where you can start two and one flex. i figured i had this guys back to the wall but....
Uhhh no. One of them is saying that someone in his league did that add/drop.Another is saying that he just did that add/drop.Wouldn't that make them the same person?maybe you two are in the same league?I did that myself... our league gives points for return yardage and ppr. I made this offer in a different league (dynasty) and I didn't think it was that bad. Taylor has one or two decent years left, but Jones will the TD vulture next year.Wilford is very young, was very productive last half last year, and continues to look good and was listed as a starter at the time.i got offered ernest wilford for my fred taylor last week
That's not that bad. I'm assuming that's Randy Moss.QBs cancel each other outOne team gets a big upgrade at RBOne team gets a big upgrade at WR.Depending on the makeup of the rosters and the scoring system, I could see that happening.was offeredBrunell, Rhodes and Moss for Plummer, Edge and Kennison
Terrible offer.i dont think this was a bad offer, but the guy just is not budging. i offered him fred taylor and keyshaun johnson for terrell owens, vernon davis and a 2007 1st round pick. obviously it is a dynasty league. this guy has one definate starting runningback in a league where you can start two and one flex. i figured i had this guys back to the wall but....
I love the trash on all the players that you're trying to trade for routine. It's funny as hell.Dolfan34 said:i'm surprised everybody thinks this is such a bad offer. owens is a nut case, a 2007 number one rookie pick is no guarentee, and vernon davis looks to be very good, but he is a tight end and may not be truely ready for the nfl yet. it is tight end required league, but so what. he is getting taylor who could be a nice # 2 rb.

i'm not trashing them. i'm showing that there is risk involved on both sides. in order for a trade to be considered a "terrible trade", i think it has to be obviously one sided. i don't see how this trade is completely one sided is what i am saying.I love the trash on all the players that you're trying to trade for routine. Is Keyshaun some secret identity of that WR in Carolina? This is a horrible offer.i dont think this was a bad offer, but the guy just is not budging. i offered him fred taylor and keyshaun johnson for terrell owens, vernon davis and a 2007 1st round pick. obviously it is a dynasty league. this guy has one definate starting runningback in a league where you can start two and one flex. i figured i had this guys back to the wall but....
Depending on depth at RB I would have done this, especially in a dynasty. Fragile Fred won't be around much longer. This makes much more sense than your counter. If I was the guy I would have already moved on.i couldn't do my fred taylor for his # 1 and vernon davis. i'm getting two unknown rookies for a proven veteran runningback. no thanks!! so i countered by asking for terrell owens and offered keyshaun johnson to take owens' spot.

Is this REALLY that bad? Yes, it's lopsided, but nothing like some of the others in this thread. Reggie is carrying more and more "weight" in dynasty thinking these days.In a dynasty league, I got offered:Chris Simms, Roddy White, Mike Williams, and Reggie BushforTom Brady, Willie Parker, Randy Moss, and John KasayI can't tell if the guy is unknowlegeable or just a jerk.

Though a little lopsided, some people value "youth" (Simms/White Williams (?)/Bush over age. This needs to be bumped in Jan.I'm sure one or two of these trades that seem ridiculous will become ones that someone wishes they took.
Two years ago I made an offer in a dynasty league - I would give DeShaun Foster for Chris Brown. I was basically ripped by the owner and got some crap from the commish as well for making such a "silly offer". Chris Brown has been traded around the league more times than...well, alot. Foster/D.Williams is my RB 3 or 4. That's, uh, not a bad offer...was offered Donald Driver and Tatum Bell for Torry Holt and Reuben Droughns

Counter with one of your high-scoring "scrubs" for one his low-scoring best players.Keepers said:Reggie Williams for Ahman Green ... guess he figured I needed a handcuff for Wilford
Great posts here.Deal Michael Jenkins for Holt or Chad NOW!!!Double_J said:I was honestly offered Drew Bennett for Larry Johnson. Then the guy was PISSED I didn't take the trade! Sell high...Gargoylez said:I offered up Alstott and Penningtonfor KJones and D.Brees.He is thinking about it.
If you were to stop at Taylor + Johnson for Owens, then maybe that's something for him to consider. I still think that's bad, since Owens is elite and FT and KJ are declining.Asking for Davis and his #1 on top of Owens is when it goes from borderline/bad to plain insulting. His counter of Davis + #1 for Taylor was very fair, especially if you're not relying on FT to be a starter. You get a nice investment in the future for a RB3 that's not going to be around much longer.Dolfan34 said:i'm surprised everybody thinks this is such a bad offer. owens is a nut case, a 2007 number one rookie pick is no guarentee, and vernon davis looks to be very good, but he is a tight end and may not be truely ready for the nfl yet. it is tight end required league, but so what. he is getting taylor who could be a nice # 2 rb. to tell you the truth, he offered his vernon davis and 1st rounder for my fred taylor. i countered with my fred taylor and keyshaun johnson for his #1, vernon davis and terrell owens. i couldn't do my fred taylor for his # 1 and vernon davis. i'm getting two unknown rookies for a proven veteran runningback. no thanks!! so i countered by asking for terrell owens and offered keyshaun johnson to take owens' spot. why is this such a bad deal for him? i think everybody values rookie picks to much, thats why. rookie picks are no guarentee and cant hold any value whatsoever compared to a veteran that has been there and done that. i dont want to hear about injuries, they are a part of the game.Thunderchicken said:Terrible offer.i dont think this was a bad offer, but the guy just is not budging. i offered him fred taylor and keyshaun johnson for terrell owens, vernon davis and a 2007 1st round pick. obviously it is a dynasty league. this guy has one definate starting runningback in a league where you can start two and one flex. i figured i had this guys back to the wall but....![]()
I don't deal in waste management.

I'm in the market for Culpepper. The guy who has him told me about a "serious" offer he had for him: Ladell Betts.Just got another beautyCpepp for Boldin
And the Culpepper owner doesn't have Portis. I told him to do it only if they guy throws in Dickie and the rest of the Allman Brothers band...Now tell people what you countered with...This was before the season started for one of my dynasty leagues. Now it's a Zealot league so I'm cool with taking my time to rebuild properly since there's not a lot of cash on the line. My team is hurting especially at RB and realistically only one owner has enough viable ones to consider dealing with. He knows I'm hurting at RB, but I've managed to set myself up pretty well at reciever since he's pretty weak there. His offer; Addai, and his 4th, 5th, and 6th round rookie picks in 2007 for my. Boldin, and 2007 1st round roookie pick, which is probably going to be in the top 3.
If Dunn was your RB 3 i would consider the offer , Dunn is no stud .My little bro offered me Kurt Warner for Warrick Dunn in one of my leagues. I told him to eff off.
Honestly I didn't even bother offering a real counter. I sent back Rivers and my 2007 2nd rounder for Addai even though I knew it was unlikely that he'd except it (earlier he'd announced he was looking for another qb). I think I've finally got him convinced I'm not sending him a top 10 young reciever in Boldin for an unknown in Addai, after I shot down Addai and his 2007 4th rounder for Boldin and my 2007 2nd rounder. Now tell people what you countered with...This was before the season started for one of my dynasty leagues.
