i'm not trashing them. i'm showing that there is risk involved on both sides. in order for a trade to be considered a "terrible trade", i think it has to be obviously one sided. i don't see how this trade is completely one sided is what i am saying.

Depending on depth at RB I would have done this, especially in a dynasty. Fragile Fred won't be around much longer. This makes much more sense than your counter. If I was the guy I would have already moved on.

Two years ago I made an offer in a dynasty league - I would give DeShaun Foster for Chris Brown. I was basically ripped by the owner and got some crap from the commish as well for making such a "silly offer". Chris Brown has been traded around the league more times than...well, alot. Foster/D.Williams is my RB 3 or 4.

If you were to stop at Taylor + Johnson for Owens, then maybe that's something for him to consider. I still think that's bad, since Owens is elite and FT and KJ are declining.Asking for Davis and his #1 on top of Owens is when it goes from borderline/bad to plain insulting.His counter of Davis + #1 for Taylor was very fair, especially if you're not relying on FT to be a starter. You get a nice investment in the future for a RB3 that's not going to be around much longer.

Honestly I didn't even bother offering a real counter. I sent back Rivers and my 2007 2nd rounder for Addai even though I knew it was unlikely that he'd except it (earlier he'd announced he was looking for another qb). I think I've finally got him convinced I'm not sending him a top 10 young reciever in Boldin for an unknown in Addai, after I shot down Addai and his 2007 4th rounder for Boldin and my 2007 2nd rounder.
