Would you feel OK starting Kurt Warner from here on out? (1 Viewer)

He's got some injury worries, yes, but you can't argue with the ridiculous ease of Arizona's schedule from here on out: CIN (2nd most fantasy points allowed to QBs), SF (9th), CLE (1st), SEA, NO (6th), ATL next six weeks. Only Seattle and ATL are tougher vs. the pass. And old or not, Warner will be throwing a ton, and has the weapons to put up big #s.

I know it depends on who your other choices are -- me, I'm trying to decide whether it makes sense for me to deal Carson Palmer for big upgrades at WR or RB and start Warner who'd potentially be racking up big points on my bench, but I don't want to make this an ACF post -- but just trying to get peoples' feeling on Warner as a fantasy starter rest of season. Intriguing? Possible top QB down the stretch? Stay away?

:bag:

Everytime I start Warner he gets hurt or sucks and when I don't play him he posts nice numbers.

I honestly don't know what advice to give other than to PM me and ask whether I am starting him or not. If I am, stay away...

:banned: :2cents: I've been there, man....I've been there....

I picked him up a couple of weeks back because of that juicy schedule. I've also got DAnderson and I wouldn't solely rely on Warner, but I like the combo and ability to play matchups.

I've been burned badly by Warner in the playoffs. He has an annoying tendency to get knocked out of games on the first series. It's tough to win when you get a big zero from the quarterback position.

Same here. I fianlly gave up and traded for Farve. I needed a reliable and more consistent QB. Warner is too helter/skelter for me.

I'd be OK w/ starting Warner weekly, but I'm a Rivers owner...

I like his matchups & think he'll be startable, but you'd better have a solid backup. He most likely will go down again, you just need to hope it's after he has a TD or 2 in that game.

D.Anderson has been so steady I probably will not play Warner due to the inconsistencies with him. But yes he has a great schedule.

The one team on which I have him is now out of it. Which means he's probably a safe start the rest of the year.

It depends on your options, but he does have favorable matchups and good weapons. The big thing is consistency. That, and Whisenhunt has a goal line QB so Warner could miss some short yardage TD passes.

I have him in 2 leagues, and one is a must win, and I am scared to start him.

Love the matchup, but the fact that they have a "goaline" QB and he always seems to burn me by getting hurt sucks.

So I am going with Hasselbeck over him.

If you are in a non must win situation this week, I think you play him over a lot of guys. Too good of a matchup not to

Well, I have a very good team on paper (Palmer, Bush, Roy, Holt, Driver....just traded Gates for Parker) but due to playing many of the high scorers each week (when I was 2n3 or 3rd highest scorer...that kind of year) I am 2-8 and not getting into playoff unless on points, so I just need to rack up points next three weeks regardless of W-L. I could finish 2-11 and get in on points, believe it or not. So, I have to look at whether Warner combined with, say, an Owens (over Driver) for the next 3 weeks is more likely to get me bigger points than Palmer and Driver. That make sense? Again, don't want to make this an ACF post but the discussion of Warner does help me decide whether I can afford to give up Palmer for possible upgrades elsewhere.

I plan on starting Warner this week.

We can start a 2nd QB at SuperFlex.

I will start Warner and Boller and bench McNabb.

I might flip/flop on the McNabb/Boller decision between now and Sunday but will start Warner with confidence.

GL QB...amazing. I don't think I ever seen that before. Has anyone ever seen the use of a GL QB before on a NFL team?

QB has been killing me all year. Started the year with Rivers/Leinart and thought I had a good combination. They both sucked and then Leinart got hurt. Picked up Warner. He got hurt. Rivers has been up and down. Warner seems like a good play if he's healthy but he just gets dinged up too easily lately. I'm in the playoff hunt and just can't afford to bank my season on him. Today I traded for Favre so I'll just Favre with Warner as my backup unless something changes or I have a real good feeling on a certain week to play Warner.

i wouldnt feel terrible. but i wouldnt feel very good either

he has an extremely favorable schedule, but it is KURT WARNER. often injured, often inconsistent.

I wouldn't be ok with automatically starting him every week, but he'll do alright most weeks.

I only have him in one league, won't be starting him over Ben, but would over Losman and VY.

It's either him or Philip Rivers, so damn straight I'm starting him, with (no) confidence.

Between Rivers, Losman, Harrington, and Boller, my QB position has been  all year.

Warner at least shows up for a series before getting injured.

You'd rather start Kyle Boller against Cleveland than McNabb against the Dolphins?

I have the same 2 qb`s ...last week i started warner over D.A and it paid off...i may do it again this week vs that sad cincy D , but anderson will be my # 1 the rest of the way after next week(i know you all really care)...point is warner is risky but with the right match ups could be well worth it.
