An acquaintance mentioned a place in town where you can get a massage for a great price. It's a school where students learn to become masseuses. Members of the public can book a massage during one of these clinics and it's only $30 for one hour and you aren't allowed to tip. The students are supervised as needed.

I called to find out about it and try and book one to give it a try. When I called back to request having a female, I was told they try their best to honor the request but they can't guarantee and won't know until you show up. You can't exactly just walk out and cancel at the moment if you get someone you don't like.

Would you still book a massage or would you cancel and not bother even though it's half the price of massages elsewhere?

I think it depends on whether you view a massage as a sexual experience. For me, the most disappointing is getting someone who is weak and can’t do a proper massage, which is a waste of time.

Keep it. Massages are really awesome and if you get a dude just pretend it's no different than anything an athlete gets before or after a game.

I had a dude massage yesterday.  It was better than the two hottie massages I had last week fwiw.  Just go you wus.

I don't care, have had both male and female. Main difference is the males are generally stronger.

I get one every two weeks.  Last six years with Rylie, now 28. Pretty hot and has great hands.  Have had a few males when having one at a resort/WSOP.  Nothing worse than weak hands as said before.

Had a gift card recently for a massage. Got around to setting it all up, picked the different treatments, maximized the gift amount, got it all set and as I was hanging up the lady on the phone said "Ok, General, you are all set for your appointment with Larry"

Yeah no ####### way.

Except I'm not an athlete. And I'm not 6 years old and like to play pretend.

Simply would never enjoy a massage from a guy. Him being stronger doesn't make it better for me.

It's not even about it being a sexual experience.  But no thanks.

I hear you.  I would never go to a guy Dr. for the same reason.  Only the ladies are allowed to hold the boys while I cough.

I have a bad back and got a massage once from a pro.  She made me feel worse and my back was sore afterwards.  I wouldn't want students to give me a massage.  Maybe my negative experience with a pro was an isolated bad experience, but I wouldn't want to be the person they are learning on.  I also don't want a man touching me, but in general I would rather pay for a good masseuse instead of go cheap for a school, so I wouldn't get a massage from that place.

So you do reali...nah gotta.be shtick.

:lmao:  these threads always go so well.

Just keep the appointment and enjoy your new flexibility.

he's gonna stretch you out, alright

I wouldn't go.  Not because it's a guy but because I don't want someone practicing on me.  The supervised talking/direction during the massage would mess up my overall ability to relax and enjoy the massage.

I'd pay the extra money and go to a pro.
Pretty sure they aren't talking/teaching during the massage. These are students that are almost done with their training.

Agreed. But I still wouldn't feel comfortable with a dude massaging and rubbing my naked body. I always request female.
It would be a bit strange if you go nude for a massage from a guy. I think if you want to make it a sexual thing, the massage school student is not the place to go.  Same with the massage pros at the gym, which isn’t even a private room when I used to do it.

I don’t fully understand the guys who go nude for a massage, insist on getting a woman, say it would be “gay” to get a man, but then claim it’s not sexual. I realize it’s not an Asian happy ending thing, but it still seems to me there’s some denial there.

Seems like BS on the school's part saying they can't guarantee that.  Requesting a specific gender male or female for your massage is SOP.

I don't think it's "gay" to have a guy. But I'm just more comfortable with a female for whatever reason. And if I'm paying for a massage I want to be 100% relaxed.

Is getting a massage from a woman cheating on your spouse?
