Week 4 and Thielen is sitting on the bench mostly?

I doubt Thielen is benched after week 3.

More likely he’s their WR3 all season or until Father Time catches up with him physically. They didn’t pay a future 4th to bench him.

Local press has been making it sound like the coaches are in love with the WR room, but I tend to agree.

What we know for sure is that Jefferson will get his.
After that, the targets are now divided up between Addison (returns week 4), Thielen, Hockensen, A. Jones (he has always been an exceptional pass catcher).

What's old is new again at WR I guess. Thielen is on the Vikings, Cooper is on the Raiders, Keenan is on the Chargers, and Cooks is on the Saints.

This isn't entirely why (though it certainly helps) but people are really sleeping on JJ McCarthy. This is a top-12 QB.

By Wk.3 JJ McCarthy is going to realize that Thielen has already become his very trusted scecurity blanket. Thielen is going to have a better year in Minny than he would have had with the Panthers.

This wasn’t about money — Thielen wanted to come home, and volunteered to help the team’s salary cap to make it happen.
