WR Antonio Brown, FA (5 Viewers)

I just as much typed that it is more than quite possible   But if you consider that doubt which needs to be present  (anything possible)  Will AB really change his media ways?   Isn't it almost likely to be a weekly thing to check and verify that he hasn't slipped up   AB prolly be cut for recording a Coach's meeting of Belichick
We must consider the strength and pull of his agent...

This shtick needs to die.

Exactly. The Patriots have won six Super Bowls with their best WR's on those teams being Julian Edelman, Troy Brown and Deion Branch. They don't need a tool bag like Brown.

This guy is too messed up even for Bill.  I honestly don't think Bill touches this situation.

Everyone stop with the new England and "Bill" will sign him. You all sound like espn analysts that get on their knees for them.

If the Raiders don't want AB....no one does

Everyone trying to spin how dumb he is for leaving 30MM on the table.

He already has got 9MM back today.....assuming he does not get released before next Sunday LMAO.....and after he hauls in a #### ton of passes again this season...he will get another one year deal or a two year extension for 20MM guaranteed.

This entire summer has been incredibly bizarre......but man has it been pure entertainment gold. The WWE has nothing on the NFL.

Heal Turn for the ages.

has a qb ever had 2 WRs that both got 1000yds and 15tds?
First pair I thought of was Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce. In 2000 Holt had over 1600 yards and Bruce over 1400 but the TDs were only 6 and 9.

2007 Patriots had Moss with the yards AND TDs (1493 and an amazing 23 TDs) and Welker with 1175 and 8 TDs.

Any pair do better than those?

Of course! Answered my own question: Moss and Carter in 1998 in MN.

Now watch, Gronk un-retires to join this group.
In brutal honesty--I would not be shocked to see this happen.   If getting possibly a top 3 WR in the league, a dynamic group of rb's, a 2nd WR that could also be great if he stays on the field and out of trouble, a solid defense, and playing in a winnable division doesn't spark Gronks motivation to get back into football--I don't know what would.

This move probably makes them the favorite to win the SB, but I think the folks around here who think it will be a repeat of 2007 are fooling themselves. Brady is a lot older. The team is still going to run the ball and be conservative. Brown may be a low end WR1 but I don’t think he’s close to the top guys in production. And Tom Brady is, for fantasy, a QB2. They’re not going to set any records in the regular season.

Not surprised AB signed, but I honestly didn't think he'd get a decent contract
I didn't think he'd get that much guaranteed from the pats but I guess how much does it really matter.  If you're gonna free up the space and then cut him, what are you really gonna be able to do with that much money mid season.

Absolutely they will run!  Unless the defense lines up to defend it  TB12 knows how to work a defense

Even better - the Patriots play at home on Sunday Night Football...hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Will AB be standing on the sidelines?

If the universe is fair.. I better stop. Because I am wishing the worst on this piece of crap. Karma is coming, what a horrible person he is.

He can't sign anywhere until 4:01 and it wouldn't be official until Monday. However, if AB wanted to explore his options and try to get a deal for the most money possible it would probably take a lot more than a few hours. Unless either of the following is true: 1) that there is a team willing to fork over big money or 2) he wanted off the Raiders and already had a destination picked out.
Or 3) . . . a combination of 1 and 2.

WTF did he do to you? He has not beaten a woman, beaten a kid, done/sold drugs/ killed someone.

Lighten up. Far worse in the NFL than Antonio Brown. Far worse.

I just seen a tweet on twitter about Luck   That be some ideal situation to un-retire too eh   Sit the year and learn the system w/ a ring  (Maybe two years)
Luck is still property of the Colts. Indy would have to trade him to NE . . . and I highly doubt that would ever happen.

He will be a patriot or Raven or something like that before the sun goes down.  I have to think he is wanting to go to a contender who can stick it to the Steelers in A big way.  Wouldn't be surprised if he is on the New England sideline looking at how old teamsunday night
I'm just here to collect my cookie :)

Seriously, though, what's the NFL to do?  With the situations with high profile players the past few years it just shows that, with a little patience,  players CAN control their own destiny.  Melvin Gordon probably found some resolve in all this.

Personally, I am kind of torn on this type of thing because these guys sign contracts...they owe their success to the teams that pay them well (compared to "normal people" out there working, even small athlete salaries beat a day in the real world) so for them to be able to make a mockery of the rules and drag the media in several directions, it just seems cheap. I mean, I saw AB's feet. I know he was in bad shape.  I heard his coach defend it and say it wasn't a joking matter.  But now, I kind of think it was pre-meditated and was done on purpose to avoid practice and do all these helmet and feet and fine things until he ultimately ended up exactly where he said he wanted to be on the team that expressed interest in him a while back.

What a ride for Antonio Brown fantasy owners.

First, a seeming good price in the draft for an all-time great.

Then indefinitely suspended.

Then starting again.

Then cut and seemingly out of the league.

Finally in a better situation then he was when you drafted him.

What a ride!

2004

@az_prof

Harrison 86/1113/15

Wayne 77/1210/12

Stokley 68/1077/10

Greatest WR season for a team I ever saw. Manning was majestic that year.
I think MOss and Carter in 98 were better.

Moss: 1313 yards and 17 TDs

Carter: 1011 and 12 Tds

in 99

Moss 80/1413/11

Carter 90/1241/13
