WR bye week help (1 Viewer)

Just thinking out loud here, but Darrell Jackson, Arnaz Battle, and Eric Moulds (all of whom have a good chance of being on waiver wires out there), might be in positions to put up some decent numbers today. Jackson/Battle should see plenty of targets if the Giants get out to a big lead (Dilfer notwithstanding), and Moulds has something to prove to his former employer, the Texans.

What say you, oh wise Shark pool members? Any others? :goodposting:

Can Randle El be considered a sleeper at this point?

I like the Moulds selection, and I'm still waiting for Paul Williams to do something.

These are/were all available at some point this week in my 12 team league:

Burleson

Moulds

Roydell Williams

Patten

R. Parrish

B. Stokley

Obamanu

J. Webb

All haved some value, but I look for Stokely to have the best game today.

I'm thinking Stokley and Burleson were snapped up rather quickly over the past few weeks. Of the others left on your list, Williams might be a sneaky play....

Battle/DJax may be wishful thinking. I wouldn't want to count on a WR that Trent Dilfer was throwing to especially against the Giants Pass Rush. I'd consider Vernon Davis...

This game will likely be a low scoring game. 49ers spent a lot of money on D this year. Specifically Nate Clements who could poise problems for Plaxico..

I like Ike Hilliard this week. The Lions secondary has let up big days to WRs in every game this season and Hilliard's has been targeted more than Galloway each of the last 3 games.

I hear ya, but given the bye week woes some have (not to mention the off week the 9ers had to prepare for the Giants pass rush), it's not inconceivable that Battle/Jackson could do something. Is it a long shot? Sure, but that's what most are faced with when their studs are out. You roll the dice and hope for the best. Besides, are the odds that good for Vernon still being available on many waiver wires, especially in TE required leagues?

I like the Hilliard call he could have a very good week. The guy who may also have a good week is M. Booker, I see Chambers had 19 targets last week, those have to go to someone, Brown will get some, but I can see Booker getting 12 targets against NE, if he can catch 6 he could be an above average play.
