WR Chris Godwin, TB (2 Viewers)

Debating between Godwin and Jamo.

Might seem obvious, but Jamo only has one week with more than 7 points. He got 3 targets last week. Problem is he always seems to go off when I don’t start him. Whereas Godwin usually pretty reliable play. Going to drive me crazy until kickoff.

Jamo is the type of player you just have to accept is boom or bust. He'll win weeks for you or seemingly disappear. If you are looking for a high floor he's not it. If I had Jamo i'd start him over Godwin this week though because the upside is greater and after a year off the floors aren't any different IMO.

Today is why I like to have an acclimation game or two before starting. Obviously, I’d like to have seen more but it’s a start.
10 targets I believe so that’s good. He dropped a few he definitely should have caught. Has to be rust.

I really like seeing the high target number. I don’t know if I’ll start him next week or the week after but that’s mostly a function of options. It’s easy to see him as a regular starter again very soon.

They only did a walk through. It's basically saying if the'd had a real practice today he wouldn't have. I wouldn't worry about it. He finished the game. I'd be more worried about his inability to separate so far.

Not at practice again on Thursday...

At this point i'm kind of hoping they declare him out by tomorrow. If he's a GTD I'm probably going to have to drop him due to my short bench and WR crunch. :frown:
I need him this week because my Vikings bros (Jefferson and Addison) are on bye. Not looking great though.
Being reported as out for this week. Per CBS sports.
out this quick not a good sign - expecting a few weeks again.

I think Godwin is a "drop" in redraft. At best he would be 3rd banana in WR pecking order. That's assuming he ever gets healthy enough to look like Chris Godwin.

Yeah, I’m probably going have to drop him. My team is decimated with injuries and I need a fill-in at flex.

Even if he does round into form, it’s likely going be pretty late in the season. So I’m not going to sweat the decision.

Godwin’s season-ending ankle injury in 2024 also included a fibula fracture, so there was some concern that the veteran wideout had suffered a setback after returning to the field in Weeks 4 and 5. However, Godwin’s injury in a different area of the fibula than last year’s fracture, per FOX Sports’ Rick Stroud. He is considered week-to-week and is not expected to land on injured reserve, which would mandate a four-game absence.
