WR Chris Godwin, TB (4 Viewers)

Depending on your league he's definitely a drop candidate in redraft. His best chance at value was reestablishing himself with Evans out. Now Evans might get back first and Egbuka is looking like a ROY candidate.

No specific injury (that we know of) + recent surgery with hardware makes me think it may be pain with the hardware used to fix his ankle. May also just be functional pain + impingement after his first game action.

Baker can support 3 wr, wouldn't drop him because of that.

Again, it depends on your league. Deep benches, deep lineups, 12+ teams? Sure, hold. 10 team, short benches like mine, he's an easy drop. You say Baker can support 3 WR, but that's pretty rare for an offense to support 3 fantasy starters at WR. A 3rd useful piece? Maybe, but he's week to week now and he didn't show much when he was supposed to be the 2nd option.

I have a feeling Godwin won't be anything until next year. He just wasn't ready to come back. Think this injury will nag him all season and be a waste of bench space.

With Evans out for the rest of the fantasy season, Godwin could come on strong when (if) he's healthy. I had him in one league and snagged him on waivers in another league last week.

He should be back after their Week 9 bye, hopefully close to 100% by then.

Godwin won't be 100% healthy this year. Most players aren't all season..

Plus he just didn't look right when healthy

Otton will be soaking up many of those targets and Red Zone looks.

I agree he didn't look great when he first came back, but as desperate as I am at WR I'll probably scoop him up next week cheap if I can and see if I can catch lightning in a bottle. The opportunity will be there and he has a solid track record. If I can make space i'll stash him to see what he might be able to provide.

I've been holding all year hoping he comes back healthy (redraft). Might finally drop him as Watson is available on the wire.

Is this guy even relevant any more? Seems like he is ALWAYS hurt. Kudos to you if you've held him. Gotta be extremely frustrating. Seems like it's been years since he's contributed.

I would say buyer beware if you were targeting him in re-draft this season. I supposed it made some sense as an early IR stash at the right price. He's a dynasty hold for me. He's young enough to bounce back and I wouldn't get anything if I tried to sell. Also provides some insurance behind Egbuka for me.

Really makes you question what these teams throwing all that money at him this off-season were thinking?

I'll be honest, their confidence in paying him gave me a little confidence in him but that was all misguided.

Not practicing coming out of the bye. Looked bad when he last played. He’s an easy drop, right?

Please convince me.
I dropped him last week to pickup Monangai. Thought about putting in a claim this week, but went with Singletary instead. I think he's a drop and certainly nothing you'd want to plug in for bye coverage this week.

BREAKING NEWS!!

Godwin didn't practice again today.

This is laughable.

:ROFLMAO: :deadhorse:
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (leg), who hasn't played since Oct. 5 due to a fibula injury, might not return until late November or early December, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

-It means that rookies Emeka Egbuka and Tez Johnson could be quarterback Baker Mayfield's top two targets for several more weeks.

Any value to buy low in dynasty?
could be, hopefully they're being more cautious bringing him back this time and he'll get some games in this year and maybe be close to full strength by next season. None of us really know the extent of the injury and it is a gamble but if i was out of it this year and a contending team was looking to get rid of him, I'd take a shot, at the right price of course

He is a drop in redraft right?
I dropped him in dynasty. I don't know if that means more or less than it would in redraft. He's kind of in a position with equivalent value in each format, I would venture to guess.

He was the first guy picked up on waivers, but then was quickly dropped again.

They don’t have to rush these guys. Their chances to win the division are pretty high. If they can get some healthy weapons heading into the playoffs they could be really dangerous.
