Except if you watched the game Olave was wide open on multiple pass plays but Carr never looked his way. Maybe Olave pissed in his Cheerios or Carr was trying to prove they need Adams?Spags took notice and made sure he was taken out of the game plan
These games happen. KC defenders were all over him on at least 3 targets, and on replays sure looked like a safety was sitting over the top while McDuffie was locked in on many plays. Also, many replays also showed him running open underneath the safety yet Carr was allergic to throwing.Maybe, but I don't like this excuse. I don’t think so either. Using all their weapons would be a good start.Do they need Adams with Olave and Shaheed? Saw that as well. With the short life span of NFL players, Olave is wasting a couple prime years playing with Carr. Unfortunate. I think Carr is deranged.Except if you watched the game Olave was wide open on multiple pass plays but Carr never looked his way. It's crazy because Olave seems like a guy you'd love to throw to. I'd get how mediocre QBs would struggle with throwing to guys like Drake London who don't get a lot of separation, but throwing to Olave seems like pitch and catch. I have no idea what's going on. Maybe he's not in the right spots and playing playground ball? Maybe Carr is just a fool? Maybe it's Allen? I have no idea, but what I see on tape makes zero sense.Saw that as well. Pretty spot on IMO. Carr locks on Shaheed last night. Olave had 2 targets before Carr went out in a game they were losing the whole game. Carr has that deranged look on his face. Something is definitely off. It's crazy because Olave seems like a guy you'd love to throw to. He didn’t, and like I said, if you watched the game you’d have noticed Olave wide open on several plays. And it’s not like those plays where a WR breaks open just as the QB is being pressured. It wasn’t that. I noticed more than one play where Carr chose to throw into tight coverage underneath when Olave was running on the same side, just at a deeper level, but with huge separation in man or in a massive void in the zone. I don’t get it.Did anyone notice if McDuffie shadowed Olave?
Maybe it wasn't Carr, but it was the KC CB.
I’m not sure he’s built for that role, few are, but Olave would thrive with about any QB that isn’t afraid to cut it loose. Imagine him with a timing offense with a QB like Purdy, or Cousins, or Dak, or Stafford. It would be magical.Imagine if Olave was used like St. Brown
I'm happy with it. Can't get any worse.I like Olave. Fast. Smooth. Good hands. Runs great routes. I never understood what his deal with Carr is. The long droughts of not using him is mind boggling. If I'm an Olave owner I'm actually happy with the switch.
I can't bring myself to feel this way. I think the entire Saints offense takes a huge hit.I like Olave. Fast. Smooth. Good hands. Runs great routes. I never understood what his deal with Carr is. Yep. Offensive overall production takes huge hit. Kamara takes huge hit. Rashiid huge hit. Olave is 51st in the league in targets. 51st. Behind Colby Parkinson. Behind Jake Ferguson. Behind Ray Ray Cloud. Behind Jalen Tolbert. Unacceptable. Can't get any worse for him.I can't bring myself to feel this way. I think the entire Saints offense takes a huge hit.I like Olave. Fast. I've got a league where I lost Pacheco. Waddle lost Tua. And now Olave loses Carr. I text one of my buddies (who also have a lot of Olave shares) in frustration. Dude said he thought it was the best thing for Olave and our fantasy prospects.I like Olave. Fast. Smooth. Good hands. Runs great routes. I never understood what his deal with Carr is. Is it going to be the Rattler? This week could be a disaster, maybe next week he is ok, but then Carr is back? With Carr out, I hope whoever replaces him (I expect Rattler) actually throws to 12 now.
Only theory is he hates the guy or he is terrible at throwing to players who are open in the intermediate of the field. Perhaps Carr likes 2-3 ADOT or 30-50 ADOT, hence check downs or Shaheed bombs. Carr is physically capable of the throws but mentally is just not all there.28 targets after 5 games is a failure on the coaching staff and especially Carr
Olave is currently 19th in target separation, and 10th in route win rate on player profiler. Film shows him open much more often than not and his reception perception profile shows up as someone who consistently beats man, press, and zone.
If people watch the Saints, explain why Carr over the weeks has thrown to Shaheed even when tightly covered and this week to Tipton as well.
How do you “incidentally” acquire a top 15 WR?Totally incidentally landed Olave in a blockbuster trade, so I’m on the wagon now! Hoping adjustments to a non-Carr QB unlocks something in this passing game.
I don’t like to kiss and tell, but in this same trade I also got Kamara so it could very well be someone fading the Saints. Definitely a trade more fit for a trade bragging thread than an Olave thread. How do you “incidentally” acquire a top 15 WR?Totally incidentally landed Olave in a blockbuster trade, so I’m on the wagon now! To be fair, calling him top 15 right now is a bit of a stretch. Went out in the first series, in case readers didn’t catch the game.Woof.
Dynasty or redraft? Big difference in Olave's case.Looking at trying to trade him for a RB. What could I expect to get back in PPR? His stock is definitely low. Hoping a OSU fan might be interested.
Right. I think he's certainly expendable in redraft. Carr is not his solution.Would look to trade in redraft for the right price, but I'm holding shares in keeper and/or dynasty. There's too much talent here in my opinion to give up on due to situations beyond his control.
Using the Tua math, I guess he should retireEDIT: It was Olave’s third career concussion, to boot.

A hold for me in dyansty unless it’s a HIGH 1st, but I haven’t looked at the 2025 class so not sure the value of those picks.Right. I think he's certainly expendable in redraft. Dynasty, IF I'm willing to trade (and I'd much prefer to hold), I'd still need a high-mid 1st rounder back. A little extra as sweetener for a mid.
I've scouted as far out as 2035. You should proved to me we are not the same. Ha haA hold for me in dyansty unless it’s a HIGH 1st, but I haven’t looked at the 2025 class so not sure the value of those picks.
For a high first I might do it, but I doubt his trade value is that much currently.A hold for me in dyansty unless it’s a HIGH 1st, but I haven’t looked at the 2025 class so not sure the value of those picks.Right. Hopefully now Carr and him will have a chance to meet. He's out for the Thursday night game, but with Shaheed going on IR, Olave's stock should go up. significantly
Good point. Whenever I looked at the box score and saw Carr with some decent yards + TDs, I just assumed/hoped it was Olave producing, only to notice Rashid had a bomb for a TD.He's out for the Thursday night game, but with Shaheed going on IR, Olave's stock should go up. significantly
