WR Corey Davis, Retired (1 Viewer)

Truth be told, I think he'll have good value going forward. But going into Pit with an under performing QB... eh. The chemistry still isn't there. There was some cause to think that a banged up Pit secondary might allow him to have a good game, but you can talk yourself into anything if you try.

Under performing QB?  He should have 3 TDs right now if Walker could catch.

Well that was anti-climactic.  Oh well, still love the guy, here's to hoping it still happens this year.

But it was for Matthews and Walker?
Matthews had one flukey play where the Steelers went keystone cops. Walker did have a good game. The next 3 weeks, the Titans play the teams that rank 7th, 2nd and 5th worst for giving up fantasy points to WRs. There should be lots of good opportunities for Davis and Matthews the next 3 weeks.

He has one nice catch on the sideline where he got both feet in.

He hasn't looked smooth though. Not seeing the good route running like he had in college. Poor communication and timing with Mariota on several throws during this game.

The worst mistake Davis made come late in the game. The ball hit him in the hands but he failed to make the catch, knocked the ball up in the air leading to an interception. Thats all on Davis.

He looks like a rookie.

I agree, his routes were not crisp.

I think it's possible he's still not fully healthy.

Right on, but he's going to have to stud in the first two before I'll start him in the third.

Felt like I let this forum down. I thought that secondary was exploitable by Mariota and Davis.
Nah, you're fine. On any given week every player represents a range of possible outcomes and this was one of them. I still think the basis behind starting him was solid (negative game script, PIT losing Haden/Mitchell and being a sieve since week 8). #### happens, variance happens.

His conditioning isn’t there yet, not even close. Hes wheezing like a smoker on there. Missed a lot of time and this is like training camp to him. The poor conditioning is leading to poor route running.

Not that it really matters because he didn't play well, but I disagree with this- the defender got there right when the ball did (maybe even a split second early), that was more on the defense than Davis.
