This kid does not seem like a long ball kid. He seems like an RPO seam thrower. I think Bri is spot on here.
I mean he's 28 let's not roll out the rocking chair just yet.Pretty well is the verbiage I'd stick with.Looking like the guy to own now that Nabers is out. Performed pretty well in the 2 games that Nabers missed last season (14/179/1).
He probably replaced Nabers to some degree but he's played a long time and we know he has a low ceiling.
My memory has a lot of 40-50 yard games and 2-3 nice ones. I can't imagine he can do better at this age
I bet they'd like nothing more than for Hyatt to bust a couple bombs and trade him the next day. He's really the looming presence as he hasn't done well and really should be replacing Nabers. With a staff rumored to be replaced for a year plus now, they don't need "a black eye" right in the public. Either call plays he can do or ship him out. The Browns when they were losing, the Jets, and Titans and...we all have seen a lot with these types. He doesn't need to be in the forefront if he's not good.
In the past, they threw a million short to mid passes. Wandale and the TE could have had a million catches. It was boring and forced and why wouldn't they change up! I just know this will rear it's ugly head.
Hopefully Dart plays his game. That's the key here. We don't want a formulaic yes coach guy making wimpy passes, we want to watch a guy play QB despite Nabers being out.
I hope I'm wrong but Wandale and Theo may be the ones to get here.
I feel bad because I've always complained the Gmen never appreciated Slayton each off-season and now I'm typing this. I just...he's older and that ceiling is looming too

Would you still feel this way had Slayton not been held and caught that pass for a TD Sunday?Pretty well is the verbiage I'd stick with.Looking like the guy to own now that Nabers is out. Performed pretty well in the 2 games that Nabers missed last season (14/179/1).

If only I was still in to reap the benefits. I missed the cut this week by 1 pt. UghThe best 6 dollars you'll spend in the Subscriber contest
I think I've had him on at least two teams since he was a rookie. I don't think I've ever drafted him but bye weeks and injuries, I always go back to the well and "pretty good" is all I've gotten except once I think he blew up.Would you still feel this way had Slayton not been held and caught that pass for a TD Sunday?Pretty well is the verbiage I'd stick with.Looking like the guy to own now that Nabers is out. I'm not saying Slayton is Nabers, but I can see 4-5 catches for 55-70 yards a game with a TD here and there.
I think you're nuts. Id be shocked if he goes for 10%Normal week where Nabers is out maybe a 4-6 weeks, Slayton gets maybe a 5-10% bid. For teams that started 1-3, 0-4 with depleted WRs and byes starting, Slayton is going to get 30-40% of FAAB.
Go look at the 2 games he started last year with Nabers out. He put up around 17Normal week where Nabers is out maybe a 4-6 weeks, Slayton gets maybe a 5-10% bid. For teams that started 1-3, 0-4 with depleted WRs and byes starting, Slayton is going to get 30-40% of FAAB.
Yep. I can only speak to me personally. I'm 1-3 in League Uno. Desperately need wr help. I'm just not sold on him and will not be putting a waiver claim in.The juxtaposition of the last two posts is peak shark pool.
Also 1-3 also desperate for a wr. Ill try and get him cheapYep. I can only speak to me personally. I'm 1-3 in League Uno. Desperately need wr help. I'm just not sold on him and will not be putting a waiver claim in.The juxtaposition of the last two posts is peak shark pool.
In deep leagues I am not sure 40% gets it done. I doubt there will be another player at this level the rest of the year available.I think you're nuts. I'm expecting in the WR30 range but hoping for more if he can get a thing going with Dart.In deep leagues I am not sure 40% gets it done. Where are people ranking him going forward? WR 30ish seems like a floor. He had 22 targets 12 catches nearly 200 yards and 1 TD in 2 games without Nabers last year. I don't think that can be expected, but 70% of that is a solid WR 2.
I think either one of you could be right, or perhaps neither. Depends on the league and it’s not a robust waiver week.I think you're nuts. I hope you’re right as I have both of these dudes all over in dynasty & Best Ball.I hope I'm wrong but Wandale and Theo may be the ones to get here.
We roster 21 players. So I agree with you.I won Slayton for $340, more than doubling the next highest bid, $152.
Not mad about it. It's a FBG Bowl league. 20-man rosters, start three WRs and two flexes. Deep draft by savvy owners. Everyone is rostered.
WR is the weak link in my roster, and I don't think many opportunities like this will come along later.
Yeah, it was a uncharacteristically bad game for Slayton.Darius Slayton caught 3-of-6 targets for 31 yards in Week 5 against the Saints before leaving with a hamstring injury.
Slayton was going to be counted on in a big way with Malik Nabers (ACL) out for the season, and the veteran disappointed on Sunday. First, he dropped a potential 50-yard catch that hit him in the hands, and then he and Jaxson Dart were unable to connect on another 50-plus yard flea flicker that should have been an easy touchdown. Near the end of the first half, he made his biggest mistake, which was a fumble while trying to earn extra yards after the catch. The Giants were driving to extend their lead, but the Saints would then recover and score points of their own to take a lead they would not relinquish. With Slayton out, both Jalin Hyatt and Beaux Collins saw more work.

But it wasn't. He catches those two bombs and it's a different story. He is getting the opportunities.Went all in and knew it was a mistake.
You just basically described his entire career. He catches those two bombs and it's a different story. He is getting the opportunities.
So nowhere to go but up!Dude played about the worst possible game ever
Maybe, but that doesn't change the facts. Dart missed him last week on a TD and he dropped a 50+ pass and was underthrown on a second yesterday. You just basically described his entire career. He catches those two bombs and it's a different story. He is getting the opportunities.
Cost me a modest 8% of my total FAAB, but still wish I could have it back. Was hoping to get a couple of productive weeks out of him, but now probably going to need to drop him this week for another WR.Really wish I was outbid for him.
