While possible, GB is usually ultra-cautious with regards to injured players.  It would be unlike them to clear a player only to have him act as a decoy or be limited.

What are you hearing that makes him sound not fully healthy?  Are there other reports today that aren’t on the thread?

I wouldn't...the Packers don't seem to have a history of doing that...and Adams himself this week was saying that he wouldn't go out if he wasn't able to play.

 
Davante Adams (ankle) is on the same limited practice plan he was on in Week 11 and appears likely to play this week against the Bears. 

Adams' ankle injury didn't hold him back last week against the Colts. He torched Indy's secondary for seven catches, 106 yards and a touchdown. He could be limited at practice throughout the week and still suit up against Chicago.

Davante Adams caught 7-of-10 targets for 42 yards in the Packers' Week 15 win over the Panthers.

This is a stunningly low yardage total on 10 targets for a player of Adams' caliber, but two drops and the Packers leading 21-3 at halftime certainly played a factor. For comparison, Adams produced 115 yards on 10 targets in Week 14. The Panthers' leaky secondary did a fantastic job against the Packers' passing game and quickly made tackles to prevent yards after catch opportunities. Plus, Aaron Rodgers completed just two passes that traveled more than 10 yards in the air on Saturday night. The timing is not great, but continue to trust Adams as a WR1 for the final two weeks of the season.

Ironic - as most Jones owners were likely out after the last 2 weeks. Then he goes off tonight. Meanwhile - Rodgers and Adams owners were likely in many semi’s only to lay an egg. You never know in the playoffs.

So true. Going up against the Henry owner so needed Davante to light it up tonight. Bad timing.

I’m in two semifinals and have Adams in both. Ironically I faced Rodgers and Jones in both games. 

 
Adams and Rodgers have been on a ridiculous run. This was the most overdue statistical negative regression of the year. You can't expect blow up game after blowup game for weeks/months. 

And still, Rodgers throws on the one yard line instead of running. Rodgers game should have been even worse.

 
This guy was a stud this year.  Carried my team to the best record,  most points scored, #1 seed, and first round bye.

Then he has his worst game of the year (except for the game he got hurt) at the worst time for me.

Damn.  Live by the sword, die by the sword, I guess.

 
Davante Adams caught 11-of-12 targets for 142 yards and three touchdowns in the Packers' Week 16 win over the Titans.

The three touchdowns tied a career high Adams set in Week 8. Adams scored his first touchdown on a screen pass where he dove into end-zone on the Packers’ opening drive. His second TD was a back-shoulder throw from Aaron Rodgers, and he added a short red-zone score in the third quarter. Adams is averaging 102.2 yards per game and has at least seven catches in four straight weeks. He'll remain a top-five option for a Week 17 matchup with Chicago.

Davante Adams caught 9-of-10 targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in Green Bay's Divisional Round win against the Rams.

WR-CB pundits assumed Jalen Ramsey would shadow Adams throughout the afternoon, but the former opened the game as a zone corner and was only asked to cover Adams on 8-of-16 routes in the first half. Coach Matt LaFleur ultimately got the best of the matchup, motioning Adams across the line of scrimmage pre-snap to free him for a one-yard score after S Nick Scott took a false step forward and got in Ramsey's way mid-chase. Adams' longest gain was a 21-yard catch on the ensuing play after Jared Goff hit rookie Van Jefferson for a four-yard score. Whether it's the Buccaneers or Saints which travel to Lambeau in the Conference Championship round, Adams will rank as the No. 1 receiver for any two-game DFS slates.

Davante Adams caught 9-of-15 targets for 67 yards and a touchdown in the Packers' NFC Championship Game loss to the Bucs. 

It was a day of frustration of Adams, who should have scored multiple touchdowns but could not get on the same page with Aaron Rodgers near the goal line. It was a disappointing postseason for the Packers' beastly No. 1 wideout, as he turned 18 receptions into just 133 yards (7.38 YPC). It still doesn't take away from a monster regular campaign where Adams set a new career high for catches (115) despite missing two games. His 1,374 yards tied for fifth in the NFL, while his 18 receiving scores were the most by a wideout since Randy Moss' 23 in 2007. Adams' mindmeld with Aaron Rodgers can't be defensed. Now he just needs Rodgers to return to Green Bay for 2021. Rodgers was sounding philosophical following the Packers' title game loss.

With all of this Aaron Rodgers talk, I’m surprised no one is discussing the impact on Davante Adams. He’s generally listed as the FF WR1 or WR2 on most sites for redraft, but where would you rank him if Rodgers is traded and Jordan Love starts at QB? Still a top 5 WR?

Not even close.  I’d put him in the WR20-30 range.

I wouldn't go that far.  This guy is always wide open and will still be the #1 option for GB regardless of who is at QB.  I think he is not longer in contention for the overall #1 WR but I think he would still be a backend wr1 somewhere in the top 10-15 WR's.

 
Speaking Wednesday, Davante Adams said he will report to training camp regardless of his contract situation.

Adams is entering the last year of his deal coming off a scorched earth campaign of 113-1374-18, operating as the engine of the passing offense that earned Aaron Rodgers MVP honors. However the Packers likely want to see how the Rodgers situation unfolds before committing to Adams who, despite arguably the best wide receiver in football, turns 29 in December. The good news for fantasy managers is that Adams’ contract won’t create any further uncertainty on top of the small detail of who will be throwing him passes.

The Packers have opened extension talks with contract-year WR Davante Adams.

Adams suggested the Packers' situation with Aaron Rodgers will effect his next contract. "That'll play into it, there's been talks, but we haven't really done anything," said Adams. "It's just the beginning stage, and we'll figure out what happens. That stuff will take care of itself eventually." Green Bay balked at giving Rodgers, who's signed through 2023, a new contract this offseason, though it's possible the looming Adams extension played a role in that. It's going to take a top of the market deal to lock up Adams, with the four-time Pro Bowler likely targeting $20M plus annually. Things should heat up between the Packers and Adams before the start of July's training camp.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Davante Adams has "broken off long-term extension talks" with the Packers. 

The team's "classic structure" in forging long-term extensions has produced limited options for Adams, Rapoport reports. The behind-the-scenes extension "proposals have not acknowledged Adams as the highest paid" wide receiver in the game even after the receiver's ludicrous 7.53 receptions, 91.7 receiving yards, and 0.87 touchdowns per game over the past three years. The Athletic's Matt Schneidman said the Packers "don't want to recognize DeAndre Hopkins' deal when considering" an Adams extension. Hopkins makes around $5.2 million per year more than Adams. The breakdown in contract negotiations, along with Aaron Rodgers' holdout, constitute a crisis for the Packers unlike any we've seen in recent league history. Rodgers' shaky status with the team surely won't help them lock up Adams for the long run.

Adams breaking off talks with the Packers doesn't really move the needle for me. How often do you read this and then a long-term deal is reached? Packers have a history of signing their guys.

What's more concerning is Adams future without Rodgers. I like Jordan Love but there is only one Rodgers.

The chemistry Rodgers/Adams had was rare. The range of outcomes with Adams widens greatly with Love behind center.

I think Adams owner/pursuers are praying he doesn't re-sign.

 
They have even less chance of extending him now.  Everyone knows Rodgers is one and done.  If Adams is tying himself to Rodgers (or at least avoiding tying himself to not-Rodgers) he's not going to extend.

 
So how would bringing back Cobb, per Rodger’s request, effect Adams’ numbers? I think the ball will be spread around more now and it will be difficult to replicate his status as the best FF WR again.

It's always difficult to repeat as the top player at any position. I don't think it has much to do with Cobb, though. Cobb played for GB in 2018 when Adams had 169 targets and finished as WR3 in total points and WR1 in ppg (PPR).

haven't seen a franchise take a beating from 1 definite HoF'r and a HoF trajectory wr in a day, like this.... Ever.

Seems its less about the QB and more about him wanting to be the highest paid WR.

It won't affect Adams at all.  Play totally different roles and Adams is always open.

And that’s my point I guess. If they played the same role, I wouldn’t think it would affect Adams at all. But Rodgers loves Cobb and might look for him more in the slot. I don’t think Rodgers basically forced the Packers to trade for him just for him to sit on the bench.

Sitting on the bench is not what I said.  I said Cobb will have no affect on Adams' numbers. 

Cobb will play and be the slot guy....it just won't hurt Adams 

 
I have the opportunity to pick up Adams in a keeper league where I could keep him for at least the next 4 years.  What is Adams' long term value with Rodgers probably leaving town next year?  How much of a hit does he take?
