WR Dont'e Thornton, LV (1 Viewer)

In another large league should I drop Legette for Thornton?
I probably would but I'm a Stan for Thornton.

ETA: objectively it's close but, IMO Thornton has a clearer path to being a WR1 for his team.

But, who knows?

Definitely.
I literally just put in a waiver bid for Thornton (and dropping Legette) earlier today in the only remaining league I’m in where Thornton is still on the wire.

Thoughts on a bid amount out of a $1000 blind bid budget? My bid was at $175 but I just turned it up to $249. It’s not usually a league where owners spend most/all of there budget out of the gate.

Thornton or Marvin Mims this year (ppr)?
Tough for me because I'm a Thornton fanboy. What's the argument for Mims at this point?

In two seasons he has 85 targets on offense and 67 punt.and kick returns. So, if your league rewards individuals for special teams, he's probably the choice.

Otherwise, I'm all Thornton.

But who knows?

$1 billion dollars

Real money, none of this fantasy nonsense.

#Raiders OC Chip Kelly on rookie WR Dont’e Thornton Jr., who is slated to start at X receiver

“Pete (Carroll) was the guy that fell in love with him on tape. We felt the same thing. There aren’t many people that tall and long (6’5) that are that fast (4.28 40). I’ve seen him embrace every day. I don’t think he was thinking about starting… You saw him grow on a daily basis.” x.com/dferrel15/stat…

The Dont’e Thornton drumbeats are strong. Target share & ceiling limited but will have spike weeks. Game breaking speed and athleticism.

Martavis Bryant vibes if it all falls in place

He has the right head coach for it and stylistically fits in well with Jeanty/Bowers

Would it be okay if I pay you on Tuesday?

By the way guys, all these analysts are the same guys at similar companies and they're cocky and they miss on players a lot of the time. They're good because they play best ball en masse against Johnny Casuals who can't keep up with their numbers. Thornton is exciting as all get out but these guys are already doing victory laps. They were doing it for Ja'Lynn Polk last year. I looked it up.

So any enthusiasm needs a grain of salt or two.

Seems like a lot. A couple people picked him up this week for free in my leagues as he went undrafted in most earlier drafts. Would be surprised if 175 wasn't enough.

Listen, and understand! My enthusiasm is out there! It is unbridled. It cannot be contained. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop... EVER, until Dont'e Thornton rewrites the receiving record book on his way to Canton!!!

I gotta disagree. 6'5" and 4.3 and somehow athletic and nimble doesn't come along every day. Splurge. Word's out.

4 targets, 2 catches, a 9 yard reception on the 1st drive, a 36 yarder extending a drive late on 3rd and 20 - it was an underthrow, Thornton had the defender beat by a country mile and made a good catch coming back to the ball. The other 2 incomplete passes were deep balls.

Still a hold.
