WR Garrett Wilson, NYJ (1 Viewer)

I wouldn't want him on ANY team I owned.
Teams will just double team Wilson. Jets have one of worst offenses ever.
Doubt they go over 20 points 4 more times this year. They are worse than Browns.
He was a top ten wr before this week. You don't want that on your team?
Top-5 actually. As long as the injury isn't too bad, he'll be fine for fantasy. Worst offenses ever is wild hyperbole, they aren't even one of the 5 worst offenses CURRENTLY. Denver is the best defense in the NFL. Jets had 21 and 22 points with 404 and 378 yards the prior 2 weeks.

I'll take a nearly 35% target share any day of the week, even catching passes from an erratic/low volume QB in Fields. That's huge when you're trying to chase volume from middling WRs, like I am after losing Nabers.

Jets to Provide Garrett Wilson Update on Wednesday

New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn confirmed during a Monday press conference that wide receiver Garrett Wilson (knee) is being evaluated for a knee injury and that the team should have more information on the exact nature of the injury on Wednesday. Losing Wilson for any stretch of time would be a major issue for the Jets' struggling offense. The 25-year-old has recorded 36 catches for 395 yards and four touchdowns on 56 targets through his first six games of 2025. At minimum, Wilson's status for Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers appears to be in question. If Wilson were to be sidelined, Jets wideouts Josh Reynolds and Arian Smith would both be in line for an uptick in targets. Veteran wide receiver Allen Lazard (personal) was inactive in Week 6 due to personal reasons, but he could be back in the mix as well for New York in Week 7.

The fact that they're waiting until Wednesday for any news makes me a bit nervous. Seems to be the case when a player is fine, they'll say so right away or the very next day.

Wed for a regular MRI? youve gotta be kidding me - is it half price that day or something?

Guess they read this and the MRI results are out. Seems like not a long term thing but good chance they’ll hold him out through the bye.

Bump Mason Taylor and I guess Hall if they ever actually utilize him in the passing game. The Jets literally have no one else to throw to that can make a play.

“Serious injury” seems to be a relative thing. It’s not season ending/ career altering, and thus not “serious” from the Jets’ perspective. But for fantasy owners, a multi-week thing is pretty freakin’ serious.

Just in time for me to get Rice back. ngl, was looking forward to having them both in my lineup. Alas… I can’t have nice things.
:sadbanana:
Man I was about to post the same exact thing but it figured no one wanted to hear my problems.

Week 11 probably best case scenario now to get them back in the lineup together
Fellas, I have been ROLLING in the first 5 weeks of the season with Wilson, Puka, and Egbuka as my starters (not kidding).

Just got a hang on next 2-3 weeks and hopefully that group helped create a little breathing room for you.

Curious if I should send an offer for him using Deebo to a 1-5 team. Only worry is Jets continue to lose and they shut him down when I need him in December.

Not practicing today but also not yet getting ruled out per Glenn.

Is Glenn playing games? Almost assuredly yes.

Do I think he has a small shot to play week 8 even with a bye in week 9 and it maybe not being prudent? Yes, but a very very slim one. Would not bet or expect him playing, would not bet my life against it either.

Does it sound like this is a very minor hyper-extension and he's going to be completely good to go in week 10 after the bye? Yes.

Glenn won't tell you. He could be in line for an amputation and he'd just bark at the press. I'm not saying Garrett doesn't have the possibility of playing; it just seems far-fetched. It's not difficult to figure Glenn out.

I say that not to disparage you, but that Glenn thinks he’s playing chess when they actually got tired of teaching him rules so they’re running the checkers simulation with a smart hamster.

"It's as bad of an offensive tape as I've watched in years. ... Garrett Wilson's career is dying there."

Orlovsky said the tape shows that Wilson is constantly open, but Fields just can’t get him the ball. That, and when he’s covered and it’s 1-on-1, Fields should be throwing to him anyway. However, he’s not doing it.

Maybe we should be rooting for Fields to continue being a complete $#!+show and thus Wilson comes back to an offense with Taylor under center…
