WR Jalin Hyatt, NYG (1 Viewer)

They should have traded him.
His 40 time and college tape would have gotten him somewhere.
Year three, no one really talks potential anymore. Some but it's considerably dwindled down like "there's a flicker of light."

Hard to believe Hyatt would be this awful. 2022 Fred Biletnikoff Award winner. He and Cedric Tillman were a great duo at Tennessee during college. Tillman finally got his break when Cooper was traded and is showing potential. It would be nice to see Hyatt get a similar break to see if he can perform as well.

Not until Daniel Jones is not his quarterback

Him and Divito are supposedly good buddies. He finally did something last week. Maybe he's ready to break out a bit? He should get some quality looks if he's on the field w Nabors drawing attention.

They connected on 5 for 109 in week 12 last year. I remember interviews on them talking about their connection since they both started on the 3rd team in OTAs.

Nice. Well, there you have it. I have Hyatt on a fantasy team and I have been looking for any life from him this year, so I’ll take the hope you’re providing.

SNY Giants: Giants’ Russell Wilson continues praising young WR Jalin Hyatt: ‘He’s a guy I believe in’

It should be noted Hyatt came in to the league as a vertical threat and played in an offense that not only didn't prioritize deep shots, but had a QB who didn't have the touch/anticipation/authority to get the ball to him. As a result, he was frozen out of the offense and admittedly "did not handle it well" lashing out at coaches and fellow players.

It's notable that he's making a resurgence in camp and Russell Wilson (noted deep shot guy his is signature "moonball"), working consistently with the 1s after being in the doghouse last year. He's going to be free in draft as a post Round 10 guy.

Giants head coach Brian Daboll on WR Jalin Hyatt: “He’s improved in all facets of being a receiver… we’re going to need him to continue doing that in training camp”

“I've got all the belief in Jalin and who he's going to be and what he's going to mean to us and make clutch plays for us when it really matters. I'm excited for what he's going to do this year and the
rest of his career.” - Russell Wilson on former Tennessee WR Jalin Hyatt

I mean, in theory, Russ is the best QB he's ever had, and one who fits his skill set WAY better than Jones/Lock/Taylor/DeVito did. I'm not saying expectations should be high or anything, but even if he just contributes an MVS level as a clear out guy for Nabers that'd be something.

I'm still a fan.
He's still sitting at the end of my dynasty bench.

Its my guy that I'm a pretend scout on. I supposedly saw something and some day he'll be special. It's entirely pretentious and I'm all here for it.

My only argument left is he's not made to be a sub and for the Giants to consistently throw him the ball and watch what happens.

It's weak but I'm gonna owe some buddies some beers and lose a few bets if he doesn't produce by next year.

Did ya see his buddy Tillman when the Browns had poor roster management and injuries and he's suddenly starting and getting targets? I think Hyatt can similarly impress.

Slayton is so reliable and Nabers is so good and Wandale is always saying "don't forget about me" with his play. Didn't they add Pascal? He's a guy used to being a sub that isn't half bad in the sub role.

I don't see a path for Hyatt in NYG. Wilson supposedly loving the guy and hitting him with targets often made my head turn and ears lift up. Shorts or not, maybe that's it?

I firmly stand on that he's not made to be a sub and needs consistent targets. We'll see in camp. If Wilson continues...yeah we'll see in camp
