WR Jaylen Waddle, MIA (1 Viewer)

Availability is the best ability.

Especially if you aren't a significant difference maker (which he has not been since Hill arrived).

Waddle & Olave will be on a lot of my redraft teams
I'm sorry.
Why are you sorry? You can be wrong and still win leagues where these guys are being drafted. I'll take their floor/ceiling combos all day at their current ADP.
It was mostly a joke. They will be relatively cheap, so even if they disappoint, not too bad, and if they excel, it could be really big. Nothing wrong with them at the price. But the statement "Waddle & Olave will be on a lot of my redraft teams", in a vacuum, invites facetious condolences.

I agree with this, took Waddle late in two drafts…missed on Olave. Upside is there and the cost is tremendously less than it has been in the past. Not expecting anything out of the ordinary, but they are skilled enough to surprise.

Non-startable unless you are in a major pinch. Hill would need to be traded in order for me to star Waddle with any sort of confidence. Dude is sooo fragile as well. I have to hold my breath after every tackle because he comes up limping 50% of the time.

This guy lives in the blue medical tent throughout the season
🏕️ Waddle goes camping so often you can't count on him to even finish a game ⛺

Having Waddle and watching MIA games last year was so frustrating.

I know it’s football we can’t predict injury but this is not an exaggeration. He was regularly limping into the medical tent with a variety of issues

I don't blame him, I watched 10 minutes of of the Dolphins game on Sunday and I limped to the fridge to get a coke because it was a tough watch. Can only imagine what you feel like playing in the game.

I had him two years ago (?) and nearly every time he got hit he was in the tent. It was awful and I remembered when he came out wondering what the fuss was about. I didn’t get it.

Wonder he likes the attention. Like getting hurt and playing thru it. I know he’s small, but does not look it.

Nah, man. He looks like he's been shot every time he gets hit. This is no act. It's always his lower body, too. It's really uncomfortable. Watching him get hurt is like watching somebody get kicked in the shins. It's real pain and really awkwardly uncomfortable.

Jaylen "Blue Tent" Waddle baby......a legend.

This guy is soft like tissue paper.......utter crapfest. Worthless on a fantasy roster gents.

It starts at the top. MIA needs to get rid of Daniels. The whole team is soft and leaderless.
  • McDaniel needs to go. He's a fun OC but he is absolutely not HC worthy.
  • Trade Hill. He is overpaid, a distraction and declining. Get what they can for him while he still has some value.
  • Tua.... yeeesh I don't know. He isn't a guy you can win consistently with but I have no clue if they can get out of his contract easily or not.
  • Beef up the OL and build around Achane and Waddle.
Miami should be a very attractive spot for players and coaches. They need to rebuild badly.

My $0.02.

NFL has opened an investigation into Tyreek Hill's alleged domestic violence abuse allegations made by his current wife in their divorce proceedings that are ongoing
That is gonna put a big damper on anyone taking him off the Phins' flippers right now 🐬

Realistically speaking I definitely see Hill being moved before the deadline. That would be a huge win for Waddle Owners.
Do we think Waddle can handle WR1 snaps? He'll just end up hurt again and most likely miss significant time. They should probably trade Waddle too so they don't have to wrap him in bubble wrap.

Hill isn't moving unless officially it's been announced that the NFL is no longer investigating the domestic violence allegations OR how many games he is suspended for.
1. PR issues
2. What is the trade value to acquire Hill? Cause nobody knows how many games he could be suspended for.

I can see NFL teams poking around making low ball offers to MIA. But teams wanting to trade for Hill are trying to contend this year, willing to take on that huge salary. Which is another problem as well.

Which talented WR is softer and more injury prone? Waddle, or Tee Higgins?

Both are talented but made of glass.

I respectfully don't think 1 is true. I believe there is a considerable amount of back channeling in the league with regards to teams and the commissioners office. Enough that any team wanting to acquire him would understand where the NFL stands if if they have all an all clear. Maybe not now, but in a few weeks.

Just opening up an investigation is pretty empty in and of itself and like most things with Tyreek people are making a bigger deal out of it. The NFL always opens up an investigation in these matters and unless his wife/ex or whatever agrees to testify, which could negatively impact her financially, it's not going anywhere.

I also am not at all seeing a situation were a team trading for him is taking on a huge salary. Quite the opposite, his salary adds a ton to his value because it's relatively low in commitments. If he was traded on the day or two before the trade deadline the inhering team only has about a $4.7m ROS commitment. That's it. I think he'd have $34M in commitments for the 2026 season but none of it guaranteed. He could easily be traded again, restructured, cut, or simply viewed as being worth that for one year. But main point is no one is taking on a huge salary commitment.

All of this being said I think people are wildly overreacting, have been all off-season and frankly a lot of Tyreek's whole career that he's some kind of problem child that the Dolpins are anxious to trade. Reality is some people could be fired soon, the rebuild starts, and getting a draft pick for someone that won't make sense to pay $34M to next year in light of where the team is moves them to deal him. But I believe all the credible national reports it's not something they want to do now, having nothing to do with his salary or off field issues. Dolphins have just not pulled the plug like the rest of the world has on them.

I want to like Tua. He "could" qualify as a good leader if he could string together some healthy seasons. His arm strength is limited, and he needs more help around him if he's going to succeed.

Urgg I forgot they play the Bills. They are going to be down big early and will air it TF out. I am slightly tempted to start Waddle now.

However I have Achane and in no way would feel comfortable starting 2 Dolphins lol.

I'm going for it - starting Waddle and benching either Courtland Sutton or DJ Moore on Sunday. Haven't decided that one yet, but just a hunch Waddle stays healthy and sees a decent amount of targets.
