WR Jaylen Waddle, MIA (2 Viewers)

Waddle was the go to on several key 3rd and 4th down plays in the 2nd half, and dusted his guy on all of them. Would be nice if they went to him before 3rd down.
He was the pre-determined target on Tua's game sealing pick, which Bernard seemed to know from the get go. Was a pity because yesterday was as good as Tua has looked under pressure in awhile, til then.

Yeah yesterday was encouraging but still not enough to be comfortable starting Waddle. Tua is holding back that O so much, missing wide open guys and getting happy feet. The O clearly runs through Achane.

He scored 14.9 last night. Last year's WR9 and WR10 both averaged 14.9. Waddle should be no one's WR1, but he scored like one. Gimme that same score every week from Waddle and I am a happy man.

Fair enough. The problem is I don't think consistency and Waddle belong in the same sentence, so hoping for that score every week likely isn't realistic lol.

I have Waddle in both of my leagues and have too much PTSD to slap him into my lineup, partly due to medical concerns and partly due to situation.

I sure hope he keeps putting together teen point weeks so I can maybe ship him off.

As frustrated as I've been holding this guy, the fantasy numbers really aren't bad when Tua plays.

I think Waddle would be a lot easier to appreciate without the endless stream of injury tags.

Forgetting the consistent injuries for a moment, he really is probably the most talented 2nd WR on a team in the entire league. It’s very frustrating because there was the first season in the league, the 2nd season was great as well, the 3rd not too shabby and since then there are still games when they decide to concentrate on him and he usually always kills it eg NE and NJ last year 21 targets 17 receptions for 243 yards and a TD across those two games. One game in between where he was 4 for 4. There are games where they almost completely ignore him. When the offence has been flying it can just about support Hill and Waddle, but as soon as it isn’t then it’s a problem.

Forget trading Hill to the Chiefs, I’d love to see Waddle with a great QB, blow it up Miami and trade Waddle there or somewhere else we he can be the main man or more experienced guy with a talented younger WR alongside him

Such a frustrating player to own in dynasty

Waddle has played 65 career games and has averaged 13.7 PPG over his 5 years. He missed 6 games in his first 5 years, but I think many people assume it's alot more. I would celebrate if he is your WR3, but if he's your WR2, I would be satisfied.

Here’s the problem. I started Waddle week 1 but not the last 2. So those points aren’t in my lineup. I’ll put him in next week and he’ll get skunked. Write it down.

Very frustrating as we all know he’s talented enough to be a wr1 in this league but something has gotta give. Perhaps tyreek is toxic or waddles body is slowly breaking down, but the 14-16 PPR points is nice given he’s your wr3/flex. The bummer is we know he’s a 8-100-1 type of guy any given week. Seems the ceiling has gotten lower since achane arrived too

Looking ahead, Week 4 is Jets and Tyreek will get Sauce Gardner. I am wondering why we think Waddle won't keep this up? Put him in!

Feels like we are PTSD. I think this is a good WR to have. Got him in Rd 6 in a 12 team and very happy.

If Tyreek leaves it might actually hurt if it means better DBs on Waddle. Also there might be more throw in the towel once they start getting rid of assets.

I think we need Dolphins to win week 4/5 and keep this team engaged. Week 6 chargers will win.

Ok, I thought Tyreek would have been traded, but Waddle is the man now via injury(sad to say). I already listened to Matt Harmon Reception Perception. Sounds like we need to maybe wait 1 week to see if gameplan changes, but interesting note is Waddle's role did not change in the 2nd half of this game w/o Hill.

I think Waddle's deployment in Offense changes(Dolphins will be assessing if Waddle can be their #1) and he gets moved around the field more, including some more layups in the slot that should boost production.
or
Maybe folks in your league think this is gonna be a mega stud now and you trade him?
or
Panthers are next and maybe we see a big breakout performance and then you sell?

These are the scenarios I see. Most likely will start tho for me Week 5.

I saw some ROS and looks like they bumped up Waddle like 13 spots.
26T. McLaurin
27.K. Allen
28.D. Samuel Sr.
29.R. Rice
30.J. Waddle
31.X. Worthy
32.T. Higgins
33.J. Meyers

and Week 5 he slots in at WR24 so a must start in 12 teams.

Frustrated Waddle manager that doesn't watch a lot of Dolphins games. It's been absolutely perplexing how seldom the guy has been playable post-2023 with the alleged talent level and the defensive attention that Tyreek surely would have commanded.

Is this all QB play (with OL also an issue)? Is the spigot suddenly going to turn on with Hill out of the equation, despite all the extra defensive attention Waddle is about to see?

Legitimately fearful that Malik Washington is going to be the big winner here and we'll still be making excuses for Waddle's supreme talent despite his inability to be a reliable fantasy option as the second fiddle to HIll. I hope I'm wrong and this is the turnaround.

Going to trade this guy in dynasty.Even if the Dolphins finally get a new coach, the O line sucks and Tua is one hit away from Waddle getting stuck in the QB wilderness.

What do you all think realistic trade value is for Waddle?

Written by a frustrated Waddle manager too. He started his career with back-to-back WR1 finishes, then missed 3 games in 2023 and finished as WR3. Last year next to useless, but has started as a middle-of-the-pack WR3 in 2025. He has already equaled last year's TD total, and he's now a sure thing for 100+ targets. I think around WR18 is where he will settle.

A WR18 finish would be huge considering his 6th round ADP.

People have rightly felt underwhelmed about Waddle’s performance the past couple of seasons, but if he’s going to live up to his 1st round real life pedigree, it’s going to happen now with Hill out of the picture. The arrow can only point up.

I was able to hedge my bet (above) a little since I also have Malik Washington and I think he and Waller will be the bigger beneficiaries of Hill's injury. I could be wrong, but it was worth a 1st and 2nd to me.

I own Waddle and would have done that too. Waller in the red zone concerns me.

So Waddle was pretty good before Hill arrived. And I think he's been pretty good in the games that Hill has missed, right? Does anyone have that info handy?

I didn't really see a difference after the Hill injury last night, but maybe it's not so easy to change things up mid-game.

Yeah, as someone stated above, Waddle's script didn't change much after the Hill injury. Expect that to change this week as they game plan Waddle being the 1A now.

Hey guys what is going on in here? Just stopped by to say - It's happening!!!!"

His first and second years were great. Then it has not been very good the past 2 years. I still believe in the talent and skills he has shown over the years. Set the record for most catches by a rookie. Guy can ball but its been a hot mess lately.

I don't blame anyone for looking to cash out now, especially if he balls out the next couple games. He is still young and has 3-4 more years to play. Better things could be ahead.

Well, I just got a trade offer from a guy in win now mode in my Sleeper league:

He offers: 2026 1st and 2026 2nd
I give: Waddle

I broke my phone smashing the accept button. Didn't want him to come to his senses. :ROFLMAO:
Solid value. As big of a fan I am that is a good trade - hate to see it but someone has to accept it. lol

I also own and like Washington - but Waddle is still a better talent. There will be more targets for Washington for sure so it is worth monitoring the situation. They may use Washington more short and medium and just keep Waddle running deeper stuff. It has been my frustration on some of teh routes they have Waddle running - rather than some of the easy layups.

Yep. Big Waddle fan, but that's a tough offer to pass up.

Lost Nabers, traded Benson for Waddle.

Have had the Waddle experience previously and it was great (rookie) and not good (last year).

S'all hope from here.

It’s not really a moment I’ve been waiting for as a waddle owner as I feel talent should generally out weigh situation. However there’s continuity here with Tua and the team and I think with the way the WR landscape is, he could be a solid buy.
