WR Jaylin Noel, HOU (1 Viewer)

He was better than average. Probably goes back on the wire next week though. Houston spreads it around strangely. I guess it worked for them today.

I think what we learned without Nico is that the Texans drafted some wrs that can play. Lots of talent at that position. Give them a little time and they can be one of the better wr groups in the league.

Agree. Just can't figure out why they were playing Barrios so many more snaps than Noel. Noel is explosive

Bc coaches love guys that have been around and know it all, already . It's hard in their minds to trust rookies so they play it safe, which sucks!

Well. For a free dart throw 6 for 63 ain't horrible. In my mind I had him at 6 for 90 with a TD.
It worked ok and they won but mighty frustrating he was playing less then Berrios was before he got hurt.
If you have a chance to get more snaps for Braxton Berrios, you just gotta do it.
Noel looked really good too. Kind of mind boggling

The kid has looked great all year. He has a knack for getting open and making big catches. I don't think I've seen him drop one. So it makes perfect sense that the Texans will want to limit his minutes in favor of washed, practice squad level vets. Demeco, Caley and Caserio are three of my least favorite people in football.

I'm hanging on another week or two. I think Noel is better than Kirk. Hoping coaching staff realizes he's better than Kirk and Berrios .
My gut says they won't realize that this year. I think they know what they got, but I also think they believe they are helping him by moving slowly with him. Guys gonna be one of those off season guys where the experts have millions of articles about why he is gonna hit.

Glad you mentioned Caserio because you realize he's at play here, though you are right to not dismiss the annoying coaching staff. But this always struck me as top down decision making to play the vets so much.

Anyway Noel ended up playing just 38.75% of snaps, with a 45.2% route participation and this would have all been a little lower if Berrios had not had to leave for awhile.

I'm not sure what to do with Noel on my redraft rosters, which are 12/20 leagues. I'd normally just cut a part time slot only* WR but I also hate cutting a player who is a coaching decision away from fantasy relevance.

*not to get into the weeds but I say slot only but technically he may line up other places. Key is they don't play any formations with 2 or less WR's. This is similar to Josh Downs and Jayden Reed and they are also very talented players who are not great starting lineup options as much as depth pieces IMO and they actually own the third WR(slot) role instead of splitting it.

Dropping. Just can't trust this offense or coaching staff. Next week vs Denver doesn't seem promising either.
Same. He was a one week dart throw for this year. I feel he has very limited hit, but more then likely miss, value rest of season. My top 4 wrs were on bye or hurt this past week. That was the only reason I invested time on this guy. In this sites League Uno we have 3 flexes and my 3 flexes have been really bad. I may keep him in that league. Maybe.

I think Kirk will be hurt and iffy all year.
Collins seems a little off too this year,Berrios I'm hoping out next week,or had some dumb injury that lands him on ir ,just to get him out of the way.

And if they sign Hunter Renfrew bc Berrios is hurt,I'm dropping Noel, lol

Ya also have Higgins and Hutchinson competing for targets. What ta do, what ta do. Ugh

Tough call on what to do with him,it's why Im giving 2-3 weeks to see if anything developes and he sticks.

I think Kirk is available in a trade if they can find a taker. This was reported a few weeks ago by one of the major national reporters, just can't recall if it was Shefter, Rap or Fowler.

Berrios returned to the game so he's probably fine but regardless I feel like this team is stuck on the idea of having some oddball rotation of WR's opposite Nico all year.

I could not even told you Jared Wayne played for the Texans before yesterday and even he played more then Noel. Different role but speaks to the whole issue of wanting a rotation because they were playing Wayne as a substitute for Higgins and Hutchinson. Because, why?

I still don't want to cut Noel yet and probably won't, not yet, even though I don't think this will work out for fantasy this year. It's a credit to Noel he's performed like he has the last two weeks but this usage is not sustainable. Like I said a little upthread I'm reticent to cut someone who could become a major fantasy contributor at the whim of a coaching decision.

Will probably hang on past the trade deadline and then cut him in the many leagues I have him if they retain Kirk.

I kinda feel like it's the Packers wr core, but it's Kraft instead of Collins with a sure stream of targets weekly.
