WR Josh Gordon, KC (9 Viewers)

Well be looking for a bigger game out of Gordon next week. Shouldn't effect me in either playoff games with him throwing out a dud.

Is Gordon still serving his suspension? Actually for Gordon owner's it would have been better off if he was suspended.

Dang…could spend an eternity bumping posts in this thread.

I've got him in two other leagues where I got a bye without his help. I doubt I can play him. He's a flex option at best, maybe a wr3.

Gordon's return has been underwhelming at best. I blame Soufly
I drank the Soulfly kool-aid...and my ### is outta da playoffs.
If only Gordon didnt overthrow that wide open long ### TD pass to himself.
dont act like you weren't on hoyers jock a few weeks ago
Key part is a few weeks ago.

I said I was wrong
You were wrong on Gordon too. Big time. Own it. It's about production and Gordon ain't getting it done.

Game on the line and he was jogging. Once he saw it was coming to him, then he started running hard. Ball through his fingertips. Oops.

bench him if you want but he will still be projected for big points next week. studs have bad games from time to time and this was a bad game, but nothing another stud cant pickup the slack for on a strong roster which is what winning rosters do, crying and spitting vitriol about one guy having a bad game makes you look like a noob.

Manziel.

If they dont put in Manziel, Im benching gordon

(this is me being real, in a thread w a lot my "fluff")
Must be nice to have been "serious" when you think you are proven right and "fluff" when you are proven to be wrong
How am I proven "wrong"?

He was averaging 97.5ypg over his first two games.

He put up a stinker today, which was completely on Hoyer except for that last pass, which he shouldve caught... and even if he did it wouldve still been a stinker.

The amount of time you spend riding my tip is ridiculous.

Starting him next week anyway. Next best WR option for me is Jarvis Landry and I'll take Gordon's upside over the safer floor. Also wouldn't be surprised if they moved to Manziel next week. I don't think anyone would. Part of this is on Gordon though.

That's if you haven't been eliminate this week.

I didn't watch the game but I was able to follow updates. Seemed like the Browns couldn't sustain anything on offense. What the hell happened? Was Gordon even targeted? Glad to see Cameron back in action.

Bad day to be a Hoyer-supporter.

Gordon dropped 2, including a long one that may have put them in position to win. Other was an "in the dirt" dive of about 15 yards. Hoyer over-threw him badly on a possible 80-yd TD.

They need to see what they have in Manziel Now! They also have 2 first round picks in next year's draft. Doesn't appear that they are playoff bound. Decisions decisions. As for Gordon, it is time to temper expectations until 2015. Simple as that.

Agreed on Gordon. He looked lost out there today.

you wait all season for a guy and he drops a turd on you in the 1st week of the playoffs.......
He's talented for sure but that's why this season I didn't try to hold him like I had the year before to start. Different regimes, coming very late in the season, and mostly because I was worried how much he would really have his head in the game given all his off season troubles.

Rotoworld:

Josh Gordon secured just 2-of-7 targets for 15 yards in the Browns' Week 14 loss to the Colts.
This was the most-notable dud of the fantasy week against a Colts defense missing top CB Vontae Davis. Coach Mike Pettine revealed after the loss that the Browns purposely reduced Gordon's snaps on third downs because they "thought he was getting too many." When Gordon was in -- probably 60 percent of the time or so -- usual Colts LCB Greg Toler followed him around the formation and did a great job in press-man coverage. Expect Gordon to bounce back in Week 15 against Cincinnati. The Browns desperately need to commit to him as a full-time player, and it will be Gordon's fourth game back off his suspension.

Probably a subtle way of saying "we trusted him to be out there way too much for a guy who has no idea what he's doing in this offense".

A lot of overreaction in here.

In a tight battle to advance myself, but there's no way I'm benching him next week (if my team advances). He was very close to two big plays despite his rough afternoon and a poor day from his QB.

Sucks for those owners eliminated in close games but dude is still a beast, no way he doesn't bounce back next week.

Gordon is a knucklehead and he doesn't appear to know the playbook.
Rotoworld blurb from last week:

Josh Gordon admitted that he doesn't have a full grasp of the offense and has been running bad routes since his Week 12 return from a 10-game suspension.

"The terminology's changed even since training camp," Gordon said. "I was definitely running the wrong routes." Gordon has been targeted a whopping 29 times in his two games, posting a fine 15-195-0 line, but he's been the target on three of Brian Hoyer's five interceptions the past two weeks and takes the blame. The two have been staying late after practice. Gordon is a locked-in WR1. He'd get a boost should Colts RCB Vontae Davis (concussion) not play Sunday.

Maybe Soulfly3 egged on some of this reaction, but every player has bad games though. Especially in new offenses coming off 10 game suspensions.

Play schoolyard with him... jesus these teams over think things... post, curl, out, call one and force feed him
want to wtch with a clearer head, but his route concepts seemed rather simple today. Inconsistent effort and bad qb play are a killer.
