He's gonna blow the lid off your mind, man.Gordon is not going to fall on his face this year, but he's not blowing the lid off of anything either.
He ran the route incorrectly? You sure about that? Cuz Hue and every beat writer out there all seem to think he adjusted to make that nab on a misplaced passhe caught a ball after running the route incorrectly while not being defended.
So your saying he has no QB to throw him the ball, capping his ceiling? He ran the route incorrectly? You sure about that? Cuz Hue and every beat writer out there all seem to think he adjusted to make that nab on a misplaced pass
But his being fat will cause this confusion
You've seen his ceiling with no QB already. So your saying he has no QB to throw him the ball, capping his ceiling?

I think Dallas was mentioned a few years ago when former president Joe Banner put Gordon on the market but Haslam, the owner, put the kibosh on that because the team had already traded away Trent Richardson and he felt the fans would revolt if JG was also traded.Schefter reporting Cleveland has received inquiries about trading for Josh Gordon. I guess a key part is do teams see Gordon as a 1 year rental or a guy they want to resign and build around?I think Dallas was mentioned a few years ago when former president Joe Banner put Gordon on the market but Haslam, the owner, put the kibosh on that because the team had already traded away Trent Richardson and he felt the fans would revolt if JG was also traded.
Other teams that immediately come to mind that have a WR need are San Francisco and Minnesota where his former OC would be interested and their first round pick hasn't emerged. Philly is another team that has a glaring need at WR.
I think they see Corey Coleman, Gary Barnidge, and the development of Terrell Pryor and think that right now, they can get a bargain,I guess a key part is do teams see Gordon as a 1 year rental or a guy they want to resign and build around?

The Josh Gordon, Terrelle Pryor, Corey Coleman Air Show set to debut in Browns vs. Bucs
I agree Browns don't see JG as part of their longterm plans. I meant the teams inquiring. Also, not sure how much his value increases really. I know it will help to see him healthy on the field this week, but teams generally don't like trading after the offseason. Every day we get closer to the season and into the season, the less likely it seems a team will make a trade.I think they see Corey Coleman, Gary Barnidge, and the development of Terrell Pryor and think that right now, they can get a bargain,
I doubt the Browns new front office are looking to give away bargains and JG's value will increase.
Schefter said that teams were putting out feelers so that means the Browns aren't shopping Gordon, it is other teams making inquiries.
Well right now, his value has to be considered very low by any team making an inquiry especially if they think the Browns are loaded at WR and are looking to dump JG so I think that if he flashes in preseason and then serves his suspension and comes back strong that his value would increase.I agree Browns don't see JG as part of their longterm plans. And say what you want about RG3, he's a better long ball thrower than any of them.Jason Campbell 317 attempts
Bandon Weedon 267 attempts
Brian Hoyer 96 attempts
Josh Gordon 87 receptions, 1,646 yards & 9 TDs.
Actually, whether true or not, with every big play Terrelle Pryor makes I am seeing more people get on board with this idea.Dr. Octopus said:I'm not sure anyone thinks that.
And they shouldn't. Even if you think he might crash and burn, the potential for a cheap, true #1 WR for your team is far too valuable for a mid round pick, which is probablt what is being offered.Mary Kay Cabot now saying Browns have no interest in trading Brown.
So you are saying it's likely then?Browns trading him now would be crazy.
Hue favors the running game but he was pretty darn solid with Carson Palmer and Andy Dalton. RGIII isn't either of those guys but he did flash serious talent, even in the passing game, at one point so if Hue can really coach and if RGIII can recapture some of the magic I would be pretty optimistic at this point. With all the love for Gordon (along with Coleman and, to a lesser extent, Pryor and Barnidge), how do you all feel about RGIII's prospects for the year as a result?
He is a long way from earning a big boy contact. If Gordon goes off this season, the Browns will pay him.
It's simple. Elite WR, paid like a semi-elite WR (he wont get the guarantees) and you got an elite rookie, making rookie wages for the next 3-4yrs.
Browns are sailing, bro.
Does this really need to be explained to you?Trade the best WR? But.... Why?
12 games isn't that long, is it?He is a long way from earning a big boy contact.
Quoi?how good was Gordon when he was suspended?
there is your answer
Especially with 4 weeks off.trade him now .... fall harvest season is upon us and the temptation might be too great
ultimate risk reward play. He's either way overvalued or undervalued right now. There's absolutely no way for anything, including the Browns, to know what his future holds. There was a time he was a top three receiver in the entire league. But that was 3 years ago. And he wasn't all that great in those few games he played two years ago. And he's obviously dumb as a brick. So are you trading for a Julio Jones or a Justin Blackmon? There's just no way for a team to accurately assess his value right now. And that includes the Browns
Probably about right. I have him around #20 if he was playing all 16. Take away the four games and he's in the mid-thirties.Currently WR 37 on the Aug 15th MFL ADP data dump (redraft, 12 team, non-ppr, real drafts, all players selected in at least 10% of drafts).
Didn't we say this two offenses ago? And even three offenses ago?simply put, Gordon is one offense from never playing in the league again
he's shown to be incredibly stupid in decision making
if you trade him for great value right now - CLE has to do it as a business move ......
Right, we all assumed that EXACT situation last year during his year long suspension. He apparently failed yet another drug test, which is why his reinstatement was denied in March of this year.no - we knew there was a year suspension and then review ..... there was a chance at returning.
the dope gets to him again, and he's done in the NFL forever
Unfortunately, Rog can't be with these idiots 24/7 and hold their hands.Rog wants elite players playing. He just proved it w Gordon and Bell.
Updating a previous item, Josh Gordon is scheduled to be a restricted free agent in 2017.
Due to his suspensions, Gordon's contract tolled -- "rolled over" -- and he's under the Browns' control for the next two seasons. It's notable because of Tuesday's trade rumor that popped up, as any acquiring team would consider it beneficial to have Gordon under control for not just 12 games.
