WR Josh Gordon, KC (3 Viewers)

And frankly this doesn't read like Kizer is too happy with Gordon's comments last week.

It may or not be a negative but it can easily be spun that way, but it's tough, if not impossible, to spin it as a positive.

“He chose to go about it the way he did,” Kizer said. “I’m going to support him through it. I just try to make sure that as we continue to move forward and as he continues to work his way into this offense, that this offense doesn’t look disadvantaged at any point in time.”

I  Deshone Kizer is probably worse right now than Landry Jones let alone Big Ben.
Kizer has been playing solid football for over a month now and he's already a mile better than Landry Jones.  As a Steeler fan I'd be ecstatic if the Steelers threw the Browns a second round pick for Kizer after this season.

Virtually every single on-field metric (Comp%, YPA, AYPA, TD%, INT%, Rating, QBR, most importantly W/L) shows Jones is far better than Kizer.  Kizer may have more physical upside in his pinkie finger than Jones does in his whole body but lots of guys don't live up to their upside and right now Kizer isn't one of those guys.

To be fair, Kizer looked much better last week but one game does not a QB make, let's see him finish the season strong and then we can reevaluate.

It’s a 10 team league and I drafted great and lost a lot of players aka Watson Rodgers and others early but made a ton of trades and pickups where others are dumb and don’t. I should have had this league wrapped up a long time ago but my luck sucks. And play teams when their players break out. I have over 200 points over the next team closest to me
Fascinating team. Truly a compelling story. Do you have a newsletter or blog I can subscribe to?

I may lose sleep at night if I can’t keep up with the trials and tribulations of your magical football roster.

Yeah yeah yeah lol. I hear ya. What a few beers and a message board will have a guy do lol

Ah I found it. it was ‘considering the several disadvantages as a team...’

wondering how that played in the browns locker room? Do you think they trade Gordon this off season?

I'm a Browns fan, so I want him there for life.

With Mayfield or Darnold throwing to him for the next 6+,we'll be soaring.

Keep going back and forth with Gordon and Mike Evans.

Love what Gordon is doing on the field but hate, hate, hate the matchup.

Hate everything happening in Tampa Bay right now, including what Evans has been doing, but love the matchup.

Right now Gordon is still in my lineup.

Chaka why do hate the matchup? No Smith and Ravens D vulnerable. But yeah after they allowed 500 yards to Pitt, I'd be nervous.

Im already in a massive hole thanks to Rivers and Allen crapping the bed. I'm actually considering Gordon over Baldwin and it's making me sick to my stomach....

As soon as humanly possible. They’re clearly showcasing him.

I could see Hoodie swooping in.  Only ‘GM’ that could easily risk career capital to kick the tires.  And he could get him for pennies on the dollar.  But aside from CLE and NE, he’s just soooooo risky.
Or a team that’s up & coming with a bold coach & a talented young QB desperately in need of weapons with drat picks to spare, like my 49ers. ;)

People are way too fixated on giving up 500 yards last week. The Steelers literally have three offensive MVP candidates and one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, if not the best. They can put up 500 on anyone.

Pittsburgh is simply not a fair comp to the Browns. It's comparing apples to spaceships.

Steve Smith Sr (on NFL Gameday this Morning) on Josh Gordon

"Bring your friends, your secondary, your linebackers...He's going to outjump you, he's going to run through you, he's going to outrun you..."

And Kizer is gonna under/overthrow him.

smith is a bit prone to hyperbole.

Look; I’m starting Gordon at flex, and need him to do well, but I’m keeping my expectations in check this week. Maybe 5/75/1 if things break right.

:lmao:

Still in my lineup but man Mike Evans is tough to bench again.

Tampa Bay has clearly given up, right?

And I have to believe Cleveland players are desperately trying to avoid having their names attached to an 0 &16 season.

Keeping him in. Allen killed me last night. Need to throw a hail-mary and hope for a 150 yard type of game.
Same. Only over Baldwin (as of now. Just hate sitting a guy with a much better QB)
In this boat as well after starting Allen and Rivers last night.  Probably going with Gordon over Ertz in the flex (non-PRR).  If Wentz was still playing it'd be a lot closer because the Giants are turrible.

Interested to see if they put Humphrey on shadow duty today, on Gordon.

His biggets knock in college was his speed was lacking and he was suseptible to big plays. Both of which Gordon excels in.

MInd you, Humps has looked pretty decent this season, and this isnt college anymore. But we'll see, this could be a feeding frenzy, I hope.

I have Gordon starting over Diggs and Landry...love his upside versus these guys.

Seems like all of them can have the ho hum 67 yds receiving, but crossing my fingers for Gordon

I'm starting in the flex in a PPR over  Watkins/Goodwin/Kerwynn. Starting in dynasty in start 3 WR. Sitting in redraft vs. Drake non-PPR in flex with Funchess and Cooks at WR1/2.

As objective as I can be, which is why I made this post. Obviously want to see a high end playoff semi performance, but have to be smart about deployment in your rosters vs. what you have and what you need. I've learned in the past blind deploying a guy in money rounds on instinct can be awesome or very depressing. Have to be smart with your rosters, everyone.

Good luck to everybody, may we all be in our finals after Monday night.

Just checked some numbers in my league and over the last four games the Falcons have given up 116 points to WRs and the Ravens have given up 114.  The season long numbers are virtually identical too.  That's good enough for me.

Rolling with Gordon.

It worries me that they couldn't get the ball to him on his targets (two of the tipped). He strikes me as the type you need to get rolling early or he may check out mentally.
