WR Josh Gordon, KC (4 Viewers)

Yup and Garappolo gets paid more than Brady so Garappolo >>> Brady.

And in 2015 with Tyrod, Hogan had two games with 9 catches for 127 yards which extrapolates to 72 for 1,016.

Therefore we can conclude without question that Tyrod >>> Garappolo >>> Brady.

Logic rules.
You'll note I agreed with you both.

Dr. Octopus stated that Tyrod was a mediocre quarterback. I think he's right.

I also think he'll probably be the best that Gordon has ever played with.

It was also cocaine use and alcohol in college.

I don't understand why people care about drugs so much that they hate this guy. I personally don't care and I'm not sure why the player's union allows this sort of punitive stuff when they negotiate the CBA.
I think The League is finally coming to the same conclusion. Hopefully our penal system will follow suit one day.

Who have you ever seen, make that point?  I don't even think I have seen someone say they "hate" JG the person.  Now many, like me, think he is an idiot to throw away the chance to play a game, and make millions doing it, just for drugs.  At the same time, I do understand addiction is a challenge.
Nobody comes out and says it, but there's an animus against him in these threads that seemingly -- seemingly -- can't be chalked up to anything else. Unless it's frustration with wasted talent, which I understand.

Now, I happen to hate drugs and his addiction but admire his freakish talent.

Does he always say the right things, even? No. I think he's sort of a weird and loose guy. His IG account yesterday? He should just keep his head down and let his play do the talking, because when he plays, it's enough to speak volumes about him as a football player.

So where does he get drafted now. Been running mocks for a week and hes been mid to end of round 6 most with the ocasical 5th round and sometimes 7th but 6th round  seemed his spot. (10 team PPR mocks)  . Does he move to round 5 or 4  now ? I had him pegged to draft if still there  round 5-6 in my draft depending on how it goes. Now thinking he will be gone by 6. His talent wants me to do it round 5 now but the issues and time away and team added talent make me leery and want to wait until 6th round if still there. Love the guys talent and potential but having hard time with his position .

Reading some of Gordon's comments thanking the organization for giving him the time he needed to get himself mentally well.

Jesus H Christ....were you addicted to Meth?  Last I heard all you did was smoke weed.   It doesn't take years to mentally recover from smoking weed.  Try 3 hours. SMH.
Also alcohol.

He tested positive for weed,  but he’s an alcoholic. Much harder to kick.

I did 4x 12-team PPR mocks last night & Gordon went as early as 4.11 & as late as 6.03.

Both of which are too costly for the risk, IMO.

i frequently see Hogan, Cobb, Jordy, Crowder, and a few RBs I’m high on there.

Maybe not the ceiling of Gordon (whatever the hell that actually is these days) but certainly not the floor of “welcome to Walmart. Welcome to wallmart. Good morning, welcome to wallmart” either.

Before he announced that he was going to miss the start of training camp on July 23rd he was going mid 3rd in mocks. My guess is that he moves into the 4th.

I would probably take Jordy Nelson over Gordon but none of those other guys are potential league winners and they have a low cost of replacement.

Logic does rule, especially when it’s taken in context.

tyrod to gordon deep is going to be the theme of 18/19.

Landry going to rip defenses apart underneath. gordon has never had it so good, so clean, and so open

It’s certainly the best situation any of the three have ever been in. Well not for Landry’s fantasy numbers because he won’t be forced fed the ball and he’s downgrading at QB but it’s the best offense he’s played in. Same for Gordon.

I think Mayfield, if he’s the real deal will be even better for Gordon though as he’ll throw to him even if he has a defender on him and let him use his size to fight for the ball.

Not sure there has ever been a bigger tease than Gordon. The “Ghost” seems like a more approapriate nickname. Trying to trade him before the next surprise scenario occurs. As a bonus I won’t have to find myself in this thread waiting for the next turn of events.

Im a buyer. I will take him off your hands cheap!

People get older and wiser. WRs generally enter their prime later (often after 3 years).

He has been a "tease" because his ceiling is clear to see.

Still looking.  Weed and sometimes a drink.

Sorry kids, the guy was not addicted to anything.    Just too fricken dumb to stop.
Or perhaps he has deep-rooted mental health issues and has been self medicating to cope. It's actually a common underlying cause for addictive behavior. Be happy you are blessed to not be so 'dumb.'

What's the story with the Brown's O Line? I know they lost their stud LT. They have looked pretty ####tay so far in preseason.

Cause for concern?

Since #Brown WR Josh Gordon is still in jointly negotiated substance abuse program, he’s subject to certain conditions. Per @NFLprguy: “This part of the process. Can attend meetings, do conditioning. Can go to practice but not participate. No timetable on next step.”

Nothing odd about this at all  :X

Why is it up to the league?

Wouldnt it be up to the team?
I was basing it off of that post

The first team O-line is pretty good.  The back-ups aren't.  Health will be the premise on which the season depends for most positions on this team.

I am not going back through the thread to look it up,  but didn't he do this voluntarily? So he isn't suspended, he is allowed at the facility and he can watch practices, but not participate? This seems like a dumb rule.

I get not playing in games, but even suspended players are allowed to participate in the preseason. Seems like guilty until proven innocent.

Agreed.  It makes one wonder if something else is at work here?  No idea what... but what you laid out above (which is how I see it) just seems weird.

I'm invested in Gordon in my main dynasty league, but he didn't cost me much (after one of his earlier suspensions).

I honestly don't know what to make of this. Something happened, but what?

The league says he didn't fail a test so you got me. A missed test maybe? I dunno.

That said, it really does seem like Gordon is serious about his recovery. I guess we'll know soon enough.

A true FF stud if he's on the field.

Nodody knows anything for sure. Same as it ever was. Hurry up and wait.

Pretty sure the language was carefully couched, but it wasn't strictly voluntary, it was "on the advice of" somebody or other. It's not been made entirely clear if it is a team healthcare group or NFL-related group that "made the suggestion".

The way it is playing out, it certainly seems that the league is pulling the strings on this one which implies that this whole thing stemmed from SOMETHING the league has an issue with and that it hasn't exactly been voluntary.

It appears this is just a continuation of what has happened, nothing new.
