The trade to NE was oddly terrible for him for this season and for the future. He would have been much better off staying in CLE and developing chemistry with Mayfield.

I bite the bullet and got him in the 6th in my big money league and I am already calling it a bust pick.  Seems like the dude is just toxic and doesnt get "it".

Championships are won in November and December.  You got time if you have a deep squad.  I think I have him in every league.  He is there for the stretch run.  Look at NE schedule...

Certainly a good portion of it IMO. When you've been given 6 years of chances based on one record setting year and the promise of talent, that has to factor in to why Josh is the way Josh is. Good kick in the ### from NE isn't going to hurt his development.

Well I don't know about you but if Josh doesn't make it work here I'm not sure how much more time he has in the NFL. We've seen what Cleveland has done and how they handled him. They stood behind him, they went to the league for him, they had the rules changed for him. Obviously that wasn't what Josh was looking for so maybe some tough love will do the trick and get him on the path of righteousness.

 
I am speculating, but I believe Gordon should contribute this week. Edelman returns to the team next week.  I am expecting for the Patriots to start fixing their passing game. If not, then the issues are deeper than we have seen for a while. 

3-4 rec. 80-120 yards.  1.5 TD.  The Patriots NEED to establish Gordon as a consistent threat to take the top off the defense in order to pull the double teams off Gronk.  You saw what happened without that threat last week. Neither Hogan or Dorsett could do it.  I think the Pats scheme him open for at least one long touchdown (IF his hamstring is healed).  Depending on how the game goes, maybe more... (hence the 1.5).  I also think they may try to establish him as a red zone threat.  The Dolphins have been great, but there is a WR/CB match up that can be exploited through scheme that I suspect the Patriots will likely test.  

When was the last time the Patriots lost 3 games in a row?  Right this moment they are watching film of the Dolphins high fiving each other as they run into the endzone.  And they lost to the Dolphins last December.  A lot of work going on right now.       

 
Josh Gordon (hamstring) remained limited at Wednesday's practice.

His injury status hasn't changed since joining the Patriots a week ago. Gordon seems healthy enough to play, though he's still learning the Patriots' offense. After struggling to get anything going offensively in Sunday night's loss to Detroit, New England needs Gordon in the lineup ASAP.

I don't know how the Dolphins will use him.  He isn't the problem.  Its the other side and who is going to cover White coming out of the backfield. 

I imagine Howard will generally cover Dorsett or Hogan in man. But the Dolphins may be scheming to get him in out in more zone coverage this game.

First, I have never been a Gordon or bust guy.  I see a matchup.  I saw Tom Brady throw for the least yards I have ever seen him throw for in a loss.  Gordon is looking better in practice and the Pats NEED the win. 

This is not a hard call.  

IF HE PLAYS, sure, in PPR, I will bet Gordon goes over 20 pts.  BB is a very smart coach.  I get why the offense isn't working and I get what BB needs to do to open up the passing game.  He needs to take the top off.  Like Cooks used to do.  Gordon can do that. 

It really wouldn't matter who the player was as long as he had Gordons size and/or speed.  BB WILL scheme him open based on how teams are playing Gronk.  He has to if he wants to stop the double teams.  

I am not usually big on predictions.  I don't remember the last time Brady scored less than 20 points against the Dolphins.  I don't think he will score less than 20 points.  This is not hard to put together given the situations of the two teams and the matchups on both teams. IMO

Players seem a little giddy for a 1-2 team.

First lets see if he plays.  Then you can tell me how terrible I am later.  

If the Patriots win, I think White has a big game and at least one WR should have some opportunities. 

I understand after 2 home games and a road trip to the Jets, that the Dolphins are first in the league right now in defensive efficiency against #1 WRs.  First against slot receivers too.  But they are also 21st in defensive efficiency against #2 WRs.  22nd in defensive efficiency against the RB coming out of the backfield.  Now they are on the road in Foxboro.  After beating the Pats last December. 

Assuming Gordon comes in off the bench as the #2 WR... 4 catches? A 100 yards?  And a TD?  With Tom Brady as his QB?  In a must win (or fall 3 games back).  And (assuming he plays) a new 6'4" WR that runs the full route tree like a deer?  Especially after he threw less than 200 yards in the last loss?

This doesn't seem like a reach to me.

Lol. Worth the watch.  The bungee cord is attached to the ball. The trainer is trying to use it to rip the ball out.  Gordon is holding the bungee ball with one hand dragging the poor guy around the endzone.  In the video, you can watch Gordon switch the ball from one hand to the other behind his back while the trainer is giving resistance.  Wow. I want to see what he can do still.

Couldn’t imagine not doing all those inclusive things as a billion dollar business investing millions in a person. Just crazy to me that that stuff isn’t the norm.

Lindsay for Gordon basically.  Thomas for Jordy/2nd is a wash IMO.

Plenty of risk for both players.  Right now Lindsay is the shiny new toy, but lets see him after 8-10 games.  Gordon has a much higher upside. 

How many 6'3" WRS with great hands run a 4.3?  I think your biggest risk with Gordon is going to come in the off seasons.  

 
It really does depend on league format how you view Josh Gordon. Sword of Damocles was the best analogy I've heard, and it sticks.

I think he was faster that that but its been a while since he was timed I imagine.

Going to be in Foxboro for tomorrow's game.  Hoping he plays.  I'd like to get a close up look at him.  Its been a soap opera to date but I still root for him as a person.
