The NFL suspended two players for the year on the same day nearly a month ago for not only failing drug tests but because they had already been suspended multiple times. Will Hill, three times, PEDs, Adderall, pot, and Daryl Washington two times for pot and while they were considering Washington's latest case he got charged with assulting a woman.

The most logical reason for the delay between those two and Gordon is because Josh Gordon has only been suspended one time and his suspension was cut from 4 to 2 games. He would logically not be facing the same length of suspension as the other two who had already had more than one suspension.

Add the league announced in April it was considering increasing the low threshold that causes a positive test that they deem a marijiuana violation.

it is quite likely that the league is going to officially announce they are going forward with that annuncement and will be adusting the threshold of testing positive for pot.

On today's Browns Daily radio program the hosts hinted that JG 'could have' tested positive if he inhaled second hand smoke since he hangs with a crowd who partakes.

They said that maybe the league is using his case to announce the change in the low thresholds for pot that had announced that they were considering in April.

The NFL is econonomical in using press releases where they make two announcements at one time, like using the same day to announce the suspensions of Will Hill and Daryl Washington.

It wasn't a coincidence the league announced those two suspensions on the same day. They carefully plan any press release. If Gordon was facing the same suspension as Hill and Washington he would have gotten the same day nearly one month ago.

Something is different with his case.

i'm not ruling anything out. it's POSSIBLE that his suspension could be 0-2-4-6-8-16 games. just saying it's highly unlikely that IF there was a positive marijuana test that they would make the new rule retroactive.

Has not been brought to the attention of the media until leaked at a later date. Week one, Gordon catches 10 balls for 189 yards and 2 touchdowns.

I'm not sure what you mean.

He HAS NOT been suspended yet. If he had, it would have been announced.

Again, we only know about the failed/missed test because the news was leaked. The NFL never announced that he was suspended, and the leaks all said that he was "going to be" suspended.

The delay could mean the NFL and Gordon/his agent are trying to come to some sort of settlement.

The delay could actually not be a delay, and just be the normal process in these situations (which we are not normally leaked news of until after the fact).

The delay could be because Gordon was tested again after the police stop & tested positive.

The delay could be for any number of reasons, but I doubt that the reason for the delay is because the NFL is trying to delay the process, in order to give Gordon grounds to argue that the NFL took too long, that way they don't have to suspend him.

He only admitted to testing positive after he was drafted by the Browns, before that time he denied he failed any tests by Utah. But, the Browns might have known the truth, Josh Gordon could have just been lying to the general public I guess.

No my point is that the time has passed if the date the suspension was issued was at the draft, unless it goes from the time the NFL makes it a publicly known which they have not obviously.

Maybe he doesnt have a grounds for an appeal or that he is preparing an appeal and it is taking him a long time to get prepared because he is in deep deep trouble. But again, you respond to everyone who is not on your side as if they have no right to feel as if it is bad news for Gordon. You almost seem shocked every time someone points out that this is not good for him.

For all we know with all the league could be talking banishment if he failed another test recently, which after his citation could entirely be possible.
