It seems like Gordan has round 3/4 value next season. That is probably fair value for him. I think it depends on what else you have on your team and also where the 2017 pick winds up. I'm not that high on this year's draft though. Not in the slightest. I'm confidentNice. But thats a bad moveIve been offered the #4 pick as well as the #6 and a 2017 1st.

In some peoples minds such as Bloom's he is a 3rd to 4th round pick. In my opinion it is not very smart to be taking Gordon over established WR such as Maclin and Edelman (which happened in a mock I am doing right now).It seems like Gordan has round 3/4 value next season. I'm int he same boat. Scooped him at a $1 this year, with the option to keep him at $5, $10, and $15 as either a one year keeper or three year. Will gamble that he has learned his lesson and is straightened out to go for the a 3-year keeper contract.Bottom line is if you can get him at a bargain or even "reasonable" price, you have a lot of time to let some of these things work themselves out.Umm, has anyone said he WON'T be reinstated right away (if he stays clean)? He is eligible for reinstatement in February.
Been clean from weed for 2+yrs, and has obviously pissed clean for booze since the last time too. Give me ONE reason he wont be instantly reinstated?
He is in phenomenal shape, has been supportive of his team, and has the agent of all agents doing his PR work behind the scenes.
Barring another screw-up, his instant reinstatement is a formality.
Hue + Goff tossing the ball ... Oooo lawd.
Also, no idea why you are saying he is in phenomenal shape. Two reasons. One, how do you know? And two, being in shape isn't the same as football shape.
The "Barring another screw up" is being severely minimized in all your pom pom sessions.
My price was a $1. I guess I'll just skip the Tequilla upgrade on my next Margherita and I'm even...
What was shorter.. your actual wang or your wang to keyboard distance (*assuming your replies to this thread have been with said wang obviously)?Ive been offered the #4 pick as well as the #6 and a 2017 1st.

The numbers I posted previously using a best case scenario view on Gordon work out to be WR 2 numbers with high upside but also a low floor due to his poor career catch percentage. Still that is the upside of a best case scenario. The real floor for Gordon is nothing at all.
I don't think it is wise to use premium resources such as a 3rd or 4th round pick on him when there are other players with similar upside but much more solid track record available.
I have to question Blooms advice on this. Reminds me of some other bad calls recently such as suggesting Joseph Randle should be picked in the 3rd round last year. Not sure why Bloom is setting people up to fail like this. He should know better by now.
If you could get Treadwell for Gordon would you? This is a good year to offer a high first for Gordon. Maybe not top 2, but anything else after that seems like a move i would think about doing and take a chance on gordon.
That is GAWDAWFUL!!!!Probably not typical value, but just for the sake of the conversation a Gordon trade went down.
12 team PPR
Josh Gordon for Seahawks DST
No. It was not very convincing when I did hear some of this. I recall Matt and Bloom stammering incoherently about him saying stuff like this is why they watch tape and so on without making any clear points or reasons about it.Do you forget the all-in Blind Bid CMike call week 5 or something equally absurd? In some peoples minds such as Bloom's he is a 3rd to 4th round pick. FWIW I do think Michael has a lot of talent. As does Josh Gordon.
I just think it is bad business to pay top 50 value for players with talent or a good situation when there are other risks involved. At least Gordon has proven he can be good with enough opportunity. Michael has looked alright in his second chance with the Seahawks but his play has not been as amazing as Gordon.
In 2014 I was willing to take a chance on Gordon with his suspension still up in the air at that time. I used pick 212 on him. I would likely be willing to take a chance on him with a higher pick than that in a start up, but not top 50. Maybe not even top 100. Not sure exactly where I think the risk meets the reward. I did not have as much disagreement with the guy who picked him 66 as I did the guy picking him 35.

Makes sense. I do wonder if Gordon's value skyrockets when he is reinstated though? Right now I would probably lean towards taking pick 3 because it will have more trade value than Gordon, and I would have all offseason to move the pick in a package for a stud.
Of course it will. And that decision will be in February...I do wonder if Gordon's value skyrockets when he is reinstated though?
That's your job I'm thinking.Of course it will. And that decision will be in February...I do wonder if Gordon's value skyrockets when he is reinstated though?
I honestly cant fathom why everyone wouldnt be trying to lick him up now. Every report, every clip, everything leads to him having his #### completely in order and finally dedicated himself to the game.
Id be all over it
Not the last time we saw him. Last time we saw him he was Just A Guy.Makes sense. I do wonder if Gordon's value skyrockets when he is reinstated though? Yep - I'm selling him at that priceI've looked around in all my leagues. No one is selling for anything but the price of a top 5 WR. Not buying him at that price.
Leagues with keeper restrictions, salary cap or other rule twists can create opportunity. And while some may be very high (pun intended) on Gordon's potential there will be the pessimistic side that have their doubts. Who knows - you might be able to get him for someone's handcuff RB, a mid-tier WR or a lesser draft pick.Well sure, but anyone who has him at this point has either traded for him and/or has held him for a while. Not many people are going to get Gordon for anything close to a reasonable price, except for maybe leagues with small rosters.Bottom line is if you can get him at a bargain or even "reasonable" price, you have a lot of time to let some of these things work themselves out.Umm, has anyone said he WON'T be reinstated right away (if he stays clean)? He is eligible for reinstatement in February.

Who would? The actual top 5 WRs don't carry his downside. Why pay a premium for a player that carries so much risk for the consequences of another suspension?I've looked around in all my leagues. No one is selling for anything but the price of a top 5 WR. Not buying him at that price.
I hope this isn't some type of Tre Mason curse...o/u 1200yds this upcoming season..

Saw him sold for Moncrief straight up in one league. Gordon could literally never play another snap in the NFL. He could have a great week one, and that might be his last game of his career. You will always be afraid to see the Josh Gordon thread on the front page. Because his best comparison may be Brandon Lloyd - who once led the NFL at wide receiver but whose off field problems kept him from playing. Or Blackmon.Rookies have never played an NFL snap, and have shown a propensity to flop, more often than not.
Players with serious injuries sit out of football for nearly a year, and their stock barely takes a hit.
Why does no one talk about football shape when it comes to Kevin White, or Kelvin Benjamin? Guys who some of you are talking like you wouldnt trade for Gordon
Because Gordon has the same injury risk they do......................but they do not have the same suspension risk Gordon does.Rookies have never played an NFL snap, and have shown a propensity to flop, more often than not.

Last off season I gave a future 2nd for him, and held him all year as my 20th rostered player. Are you proud of me?Blaming others for his rising price is no one fault but your own.
