WR Kadarius Toney (2 Viewers)

Let me say one thing about Kadarius Toney. There was a point in time where most of us thought this guy was going to be awesome. So what I'm saying is, sometimes we need to realize that sometimes things just don't work out. And better yet, there's probably utility in matching up what happened with data points from other busts that matchup with other players that have disappointed.

Rashee Rice albeit a coward in real life, has shown much more heart and competency on the football field than this clown. But hey, he's a 2x Super Champion and if he wants to pretend like that means something for the second one, that's fine. If I was him, I would too. Great punt return for first ring though pal, only a dickhead would try to take that way from him. He has the longest PR in Super Bowl history. Like I said, hate him all you want, but facts are facts. He'll probably retire a Chief and get a dumb contract based on that one play alone.

Without that return, Chiefs chance of winning drops drastically. He's getting by on scholarship and I can't say I hate it. There's no threepeat without Kadarius Toney's record setting punt return. You can ascribe whatever value you feel is appropriate to that statement, but it's true.

The fact that the other WRs like Jamari Thrash (2024 5th round pick) and Michael Woods II (2022 6th round pick) surpassed him effortlessly with Tillman out tells you all you need to know abut Toney: he's a future project who they'll probably give him a look in 2025, but the clock on his NFL career is ticking. He better not fumble his opportunity to return punts.

Lots of WR injuries leading to opportunities for fringe Browns WRs.
Kadarius has been trying TOO HARD to make plays, but we know he's got big-play ability and that he'll hit at some point. Could be today.

Waived. Missed a golden opportunity to trade him to Dallas for a future 4th round pick.

Was strictly practice squad with the Browns last year, with a couple three call ups.

Street Free Agents (SFA)

Any player who was either released by their team or was not under contract the previous season is considered a street free agent. A SFA does not have to wait until the beginning of the league year in order to sign a contract and they do not factor into the compensatory formula.

He's been out of contract for awhile, guess no one thought it noteworthy enough to change the thread title.

He's a SFA and no one signed him to a Futures contract, so guess this is likely the end of the line for him.

UFL kicks off their season on Friday, March 28.

UFL is exactly the place for a reclamation project like Toney.

He could play for the Boston Stranglers. Depending on the outcome of legal entanglements... I'd see no one signing him for a few years. I'd think out of football at this point.
