You mean for Cook and Davis to runI think Cooper will open up the middle of the field for Shakir.Well he clearly is no longer WR1 in Buffalo. What do people think of him going forward?

They've been running just fine without Cooper thereYou mean for Cook and Davis to runI think Cooper will open up the middle of the field for Shakir.Well he clearly is no longer WR1 in Buffalo. What do people think of him going forward?
And they will keep on doing it. Eventually it will catch up to them when they need to throw and won't be able to because they have not developed a passing game. They've been running just fine without Cooper thereYou mean for Cook and Davis to runI think Cooper will open up the middle of the field for Shakir.Well he clearly is no longer WR1 in Buffalo. I'll hold him for another week or two, and I'll drop him if he's not getting action.Well he clearly is no longer WR1 in Buffalo. What do people think of him going forward?
This is a fantastic question. He's had his 3 most targeted games and catches in the last 3 weeks, since Cooper was signed. Week 7 he saw ~70% of the snaps, but the last two weeks was just barely above 50%. He's producing as well as any receiver on the team, so why isn't he on the field more?
He also has an insanely high catch rate. It's a mystery as to why he isn't on the field for every offensive snap. He's had his 3 most targeted games and catches in the last 3 weeks, since Cooper was signed. He played 10 fewer snaps than Mack Hollins. That's what I don't understand.Similar to Josh Downs, I think Buffalo is playing a lot of 12 personnel for the run game which keeps Shakir sidelined. Last week, Kincaid was in for 79% of the snaps and Knox was in for 65%. Shakir's usage over the past 3 weeks is pretty similar to what it has been all year long.
I watched most of the game and couldnt believe I saw Hollins out there more. Coaches fall in love with these packages - see how Tank Bigsby - its crazy. Not that I think the Bills would be that transparent, but is it something as simple as Hollins being a really effective run blocker? He played 10 fewer snaps than Mack Hollins. Agree, but not sure it will get better anytime soon as they spread it around so much. 42 points and he gets 8 targets? And that's without Coleman and Kincaid playing.Kids a bonafied stud, baffles me why he isnt featured every game.
Seems anymore its if you can get 1k+ yards in your first year, you can be a 1st round pick.Congrats to the investors. We won. Great player.
How this guy fell to the 5th of the NFL draft is just beyond me. Should've been a 2nd round pick based on college tape.
Curious what you had to give up. Surprised you could get him after the game he had yesterdayTraded for him this morning to plug a gap in my lineup. Nice to see him double dip with my QB J Allen.
I acquired him before Sunday’s game. 3rd round pick in the rookie draft, will be a bottom-3 third. Keeper (not dynasty) league.Curious what you had to give up. Just wanted to vent that I held this guy for 2 years in my 3 FFPC dynasty leagues, but early roster cut down (3/31) each year plus only keeping 14 players “forced” me to finally cut him before his breakout year with the Bills.
No kidding, unique they paid Shakir exactly what Cook was asking for.James Cook![]()
4yr/60m/32gI wonder how much he got paid. I didn’t see it in the article.

A totalsituation, but I think we all have players who give us feelings of regret when we hold them for a bit only to see them flourish after dropping them, and Shakir is one of them for me.
Probably, unless Buffalo drastically changes its play calling in the redzone. Since Joe Brady took over play calling, this is a run 1st offense.Would it be a stretch to think Shakir makes it into the WR2 (PPR) tier in 2025?
I had high hopes going into last year and he fell a little short in my expectations. I think he is a player that Buffalo could use a lot like Detroit does with ARSB, but the offense will most likely continue to spread the ball around (and I would assume a second year Coleman and a talented Kincaid get targeted more this year than they did last year). He is extremely efficient with his targets, but as mentioned his YPR dropped significantly with the increase of targets. He will need a fluky higher TD rate (hard to count on) or a jump in target share (unlikely imo). I think it was a good signing for Buffalo as he is a target Allen can rely on, however I am tempering my FF expectations.Would it be a stretch to think Shakir makes it into the WR2 (PPR) tier in 2025?
I also had high hopes for him. but he started out real slow. in the end had a decent year, but I do think there is more upside there for him than what we have seen. This year he was a WR3. I wouldnt be surprised if he puts up WR2 numbers next year. my guess is just under or just over 1000 total yards and 6-7 TD (give or take)I had high hopes going into last year and he fell a little short in my expectations. It did seem like Shakir was undervalued going into this year. This injury really could slow him down. Lets hope he gets back to healthy early in the yearUnderdog NFL
