WR Nico Collins, HOU (3 Viewers)

What's the deal with Nico? Obviously he's had some healthy issues and now Stroud is out.... but why hasn't he been producing like a top 6 WR most thought he'd be?

I am considering making a move for him but want people's thoughts about his projection ROS.
Nick Caley. At least Bobby Slowik knew how to use Nico.

The terrible OL isn't any help either.

Yep. I'd stay away from all Texans players until they sort out their offense. It's a crapshoot at best with limited upside.

May be similar to the situation in Arizona where the offense needed another QB. Unfortunately I don't think Mills will get the start when Stroud is healthy but he seems to operate this offense more efficiently.

In a start 4 WR (TE optional) I’m trying to decide between Nico/Davante/McBride for two spots. Davante would be a no-brainer if he weren’t dinged up…..but I really want the other two in my lineup dammit!

Use the who do I start thread that is pinned at the top.

i thouight he looked great-- just didnt get the ball

chunk plays everytime he did

He was a victim of game script.
Yes, the “keep throwing to Higgins, Kirk and the TEs” game script.

Agree with Packer Junkie. He looked great. 3 targets, 3 catches for 55 yards. Fantasy football aside, just hard to understand not giving your obvious best receiver more chances. Higgins had triple the targets and finished with a whopping 38 yards.

They won fortunately but game could have been a blow out if Houston was a little more aggressive on offense. IMO anyway.

I agree with you - they targeted the wrong player. I guess I should have said "Texans game script" because they went run heavy and away from Collins in the 2nd half. It seemed like they didn't want Mills to lose them the game and just went super conservative. I can't stand that kind of play, but they got the real football win.

Agreed, and it didn't seem like Buffalo was bracketing or anything. They just didn't make an effort to get him the ball. I'm not complaining as I was facing him, but there was certainly more there for the taking.

Houston needs to vary their formations. 90% of the time Nico is isolated on one side, with 2 WR's on the other side. Buffalo just shaded a safety to Nico's side of the field. Would like to see him in a stack with another WR, put the DB's in conflict. They made it very easy to take Nico out of the game.
