The team I follow the most (Packers) does this every week.  You basically find out who's in/out on Saturday.

He might have signed a new contract but might be having 2nd thoughts now that Eli is likely gone and he has to work with a new unknown Rookie QB.  While he is unlikely in the K Hunt realm, OBJ is truly a diva and it is always all about him.  He might want to be elsewhere and be the star.....  just thinking out loud...

At this point an unknown rookie QB is an upgrade.

 
Lets not clutter this thread with a discussion about Manning right now, please.  It's the fantasy playoffs and I want to know if OBJ is going to play this week and not have to wade through a discussion about how good Manning is.  Manning is the QB this week and hopefully he'll be throwing plenty of passes to OBJ.

Really? You think when he signed he thought Eli was going to be his QB forever? Everyone knows Eli's career is coming to an end. But too many think he's not good when that simply isn't true. With the weapons the Giants have, if they had a good OL, Eli would be putting up big numbers. I can't think of a tougher QB in the league. For years Eli has been running for his life behind that OL, he's been sacked more times than imaginable, and he gets up every time. He has never been hurt. As far as Beckham wanting to leave to be a star? He's not a star now?

People can argue Eli is not not good, but, man, I don't recall ever seeing a veteran quarterback pull so many terrified and get-me-the-F-out-of-here faces as Eli this season. I feel like I'm watching an 80s body swap comedy and the nerd just switched bodies with the jock and all of a sudden finds himself in the middle of the football field.

He gets up every time because as soon as he feels pressure he just falls down so he doesn't have to take a hit. 

 
Beckham (quadriceps) is listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice report, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

Spin:

Coach Pat Shurmur said the wideout wouldn't practice after Beckham took part in the morning walk-through. However, Beckham apparently did enough to warrant limited status, as he also was involved in stretching and some individual drills in addition to the walk-through. Coming off an unexpected Week 14 absence in the Giants' win over Washington, Beckham is trying to make it back into action for Sunday's home game against the Titans. A full practice Thursday or Friday would instill confidence about his availability.

Odell is getting further evaluation on his bruised quad at the Hospital for Special Surgery.  Pat Shurmur says he is not expected to practice today.  He was limited yesterday. I'd be against him suiting up - Art Stapleton on twitter.  - Giants Beat reporter.

Even if he's cleared to play, could be on a snap count or a decoy. Hopefully he'll practice tomorrow and we won't have to worry about it. 

 
Dr Chao said it’s normal to visit that hospital but isn’t sure if it’s a set back.  If it’s just a briuse he should play.

Giants tweeted that he’s getting better every day and it will be a GTD.  He has a meet and greet tonight.  Do players typically cancel these if out?

I heard an interview with him in the locker room. I'd be shocked if he played. Didn't sound like someone who was ready to play.

How recent? I see tonight he’s doing a holiday giveaway. Here’s what Chao said. 

Yes, leg whip with quad contusion early this season  

But #OBJ played the next week.

Didn't show up on injury report until following Friday.

That is the part that doesn't make sense.

And by 3 weeks, should be better.

Team docs are out of HSS and routinely make visits to @Giants team facility. So is this more tests or a second opinion with other doctors?

 
Sorry for you redraft guys. I have him in dynasty and need him as well, but long term I have no concerns. The good news is if he plays, he will not be a decoy. When he plays, he plays.

I will guess that he will be active and be more of a decoy. Which is odd because NYG have nothing to play for so why risk your best player :shrug:  So maybe he will be out, but it seems like he will be active this week IMO. Just what I gather from what I read

Have a feeling he won’t go, have Tyrell Williams and josh Reynolds left after already losing AJ and Kupp. Feel like Tyrell has a solid game with the chargers passing a lot to make up for all the injuries at RB so going bold and starting Tyrell tonight over Odell. Possibly would have a flex spot to put Odell in over Samuels if Conner plays

Why do you think that? I'm hoping you're right, but something tells me he sits. He will not be a decoy. He's not risking injury if not capable of playing.

 
As someone mentioned before, if he plays he will start for me. I don’t see ODB being a decoy even if that is what the team has in mind. He may not go for 12/150 but I can see 7/80/1 and that is just fiiiine with me. 

If he doesn’t, really going to regret trading CMC for him...(full disclosure CMC would be thrown back and ODB is now a keeper for next year - never could have done it straight up but this is how you can get burnt getting cute and playing for the future)
