This is actually the best outcome for Rice and the Chiefs based on the various scenarios that were previously discussed.
Well the alternative was he played the first month and then had a 6 game suspension. So you'd be holding him until like week 11. Then you really could be done.Unless you start season 0-6. Ha haOk this makes it much more clear. Rashee has some value now for late season push.
Seven or eight seems a little more palatable, but I’m sure someone will take him that earlyWhere does this news make Rice reasonable to draft in redraft? Round 6ish?

I'm in a slow draft going on right now. He was just drafted at 5.04 after the news came out.Where does this news make Rice reasonable to draft in redraft? Round 6ish?
I'm in the camp of being more near this spot fwiw. I think if you have high confidence in league, roster construction so far is safe and bigger bench 7 spots its then about right.I'm in a slow draft going on right now. Just checked last night’s ROC. I recalled he went a little higher than I thought he would — he went 7.02I'm in a slow draft going on right now. He was just drafted at 5.04 after the news came out.Where does this news make Rice reasonable to draft in redraft? Round 6ish?
I took him at 6.03 in a 14 team league, so about the same rangeJust checked last night’s ROC. Exactly.Have been loading up on him at R8 / R9 in moderately deep bench leagues.
Rice has averaged ~20 FP/G since taking on a full startjng role. Could damn well finish as a top 5 WR in the final 2/3 of the season.
Wow. In FFPC Big Gorilla drafts his ADP was 6.11 in 60+ drafts over the last two days before today. I expect it to go up now. Getting him in the 8th seems like stealing.Have been loading up on him at R8 / R9 in moderately deep bench leagues.

Yeah, I mean… There’s a massive difference between a 10 game suspension that starts in November, and a six game one that starts week one. Seismic difference.Ooh, I roster this guy for dynasty and his price just went way up. And yes, I'm in the market because this guy is a complete dunderhead raised by a mother who steals packages off of people's porches while her kid is in the NFL.
Make me an offer. Please.
I mean, ****. I have a bit of a tolerance but domestic abuse allegations and this type of stuff are not my cup of tea. Make the offer good, though.
For those of us not on X who can’t see the replies and discussion without logging in (and cuz I’m dumb enough that I”m not getting the point if it’s supposed to be obvious from the table of data presented) can you summarize in a sentence or two, please?
An argument for drafting Rice, with actual data to back it up. Good stuff

TLDR; if you draft Rice around the 4/5 turn and build your team intelligently, you should have no problem making the playoffs.
(And if he's as good as Kupp or Collins were last year, he'll probably even help you make the playoffs at that cost.)

...And then, you get a ~top-12 projected WR for the playoff weeks!
I probably shouldn't have buried that lede. But production in Weeks 15-17 is exponentially more valuable than production in Weeks 1-6.
I’d be more worried about choosing your 2nd RB from Skattebo, Benson, Tucker or Mitchell. Rice ain’t gonna help with that@joey, my UNO team is a case study for the above ^^^.
We'll see how it goes, but I drafted Rishi in that spot expecting 4-6 games max at the start of the season for all the same reasons he outlined. Didn't feel great hearing the NFL wanted to ring him up for double-digit games almost right after our draft, but now that the dust has settled, I'm back to feeling decent/good about the pick. Again, we'll see how it goes - not gonna be easy surviving six weeks in shark-infested waters with only plankton on the wire if my bench depth doesn't work out.

His trade value increased the moment the suspension was announced due to knowing when and how long the suspension would be.His trade value is really going to start ramping up around weeks 4, 5, and 6 when everyone knows he's coming back. If you get off to a bad start you will have the option to trade him and get really good value.
At that point my best customer will be me.His trade value is really going to start ramping up around weeks 4, 5, and 6 when everyone knows he's coming back. If you get off to a bad start you will have the option to trade him and get really good value.
My only shares are on dynasty teams, so probably not. But redraft I could see that, sure.If you start out 1-3 or 1-4 you might have to think about it. His trade value will be through the roof and you will get lots of offers, some good and some bad.
No doubt.KC Homers - does he look fully recovered from the LCL injury from last year?

He's gonna be a monster. He's playing for a major contract too - he needs big time dollars.

Small sample size but Rice averaged 2 fantasy points per target IN DENVER last time he played the Broncos (PPR). Without scoring a TD.Schedule:

Normally, I'm all over this kinda move. I'm all over Addison at ADP. But I don't know. 7 out of 10 weeks, he's out. LAC/TEN/DEN in playoffs isn't wonderful. Before Picks/Waddle/Ridley? If you got him when there was a scare about him missing fantasy playoffs, you probably won. But if his ADP jumps way up, I am probably out.
Got him at pick 83 yesterday.Seven or eight seems a little more palatable, but I’m sure someone will take him that earlyWhere does this news make Rice reasonable to draft in redraft? Round 6ish?
Not a KC homer but in this day and age of information that’s an antiquated outlook to rely on IMO.KC Homers - does he look fully recovered from the LCL injury from last year?
I’m old school, I like to get the opinion of the fans watching to see if someone passes the eye test. In answer to your question he looks good to me but NOT fully recovered to Dr Chao and his staff who I respect more then any other medical opinion but they are not scaring me off.
I had no plan to draft him but when he was there at 83, I couldn't resist.I got him last night at pick 73 in a 14 team league. It kinda threw my entire draft sideways but I couldn't resist.
