I mean I get he's a bit irrelevant but we have threads for every one. So consider this the Ray Ray McCloud official thread.

Any way he's released from Atlanta.

I just saw he was released. Do we know what happened?

I’m surprised there’s no thread also. - His name doesn’t even come up in searches for the bodies of the threads, not just titles, which makes no sense. A lot has been archived so who knows maybe that’s why.

"ray ray mccloud" returns numerous results for me if searching bodies of threads.

Yes but nothing when you search titles for even just "McCloud"

Thanks, sorry now it does return results.

Mooney to the moon!

He actually is a needed receiver for me in one league (sing the REM song because everybody hurts). Ray Ray was a Cousjns check down creation. Penix just heaves it and is hospitality’s least favorite QB because every guest calls down Sundays and prime time to complain they can’t figure out which faucet is hot and which one is ice cold.

Yes, I came up with that analogy. Needs work. But God, you don’t know how hot or cold he’s going to run any given day.

Not really.
This is from the Falcons on October 17:
McCloud was a healthy scratch for last Monday’s win over the Bills and he did not practice at all this week. The Falcons cited a non-injury reason for his absence and head coach Raheem Morris said on Monday that McCloud was excused as the team tries to work through some issues with him. “I sent him home,” Morris said, via the team’s website. “An excused absence. We are working through some things that are private with the young man, and we will get those things figured out. This is between Ray-Ray, the organization and us. . . . I wouldn’t say it is a disciplinary thing. More a football thing with something we have to get straightened out.”
This is from the Falcons today:
The Falcons have parted ways with wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud. McCloud was a healthy inactive for the last two games and head coach Raheem Morris sent McCloud home last week. Morris said that the team and McCloud needed to “straighten things out,” but it appears that didn’t happen because the Falcons announced that they released McCloud on Tuesday.
I haven't found any information later than that.

This reads like whatever happened is going to be some wild story. Cutting a starter mid-season for "Non-disciplinary" reasons is pretty extreme. I'm guessing he broke an unwritten bro code and his teammates wanted him gone.
