WR Stefon Diggs, NE (1 Viewer)

Chicago has been forcing teams to pass, so that could help.

I'm starting him over Preston Williams in one league. Benching him for Cooks in another. The Preston call was harder.

Stefon Diggs rolled up seven catches for 108 yards on seven targets Sunday in the Vikings’ Week 4 loss to Chicago.

Remarkably, Diggs recorded more yards Sunday than he had in his previous three games combined. Diggs awoke from his season-long slumber with Minnesota trailing in the second half, recording 91 yards on five catches after the break. He breathed life into the Vikings' offense by pulling in a 39-yard missile from Kirk Cousins on fourth-and-four late in the third quarter, though Minnesota's comeback bid would ultimately fall short. This isn't the start fantasy owners had envisioned for Diggs, who has taken a clear backseat to Dalvin Cook in Kevin Stefanski's run-first scheme. He'll look to build off Sunday's success—even if it was largely inflated by garbage time—next week against the Giants. New York's leaky secondary is ripe for the picking, should the Vikings choose to exploit it.

No reason to believe this is more than the usual “everybody goes to NE” smoke.

But if Diggs were to end up there, I’m not sure there’s a player in the league better suited to be the second coming of Julian Edelman.

the link I posted references a tweet from the same person who was first to break the news that PIT was going for Fitzpatrick

Do they? I thought they had to take the cap hit because he played for them but I am not a cap expert at all.
a joke since NE always bends/breaks the rules.

What they will do is pay Diggs ABs money, and then Diggs gives AB and IOU, because there isnt a rule against it.

2020 starts out with a "no IOUs allowed" NFL rule

NE is the guy who takes a nap at work and then says, "what, there isnt a policy saying I can't sleep at work!"

Apparently this guy's track record isn't great
hes no Rap or Schefter. I wouldnt be surprised if this happened. But I also wouldnt be shocked if this guy heard a player was being released and reverse engineered it to be the Pat's are trading for Diggs. When all along it was to create roster room for Watson

Obviously the Patriots cut two guys, because they're making room for both AJ Green and Stefon Diggs.

Who isn't being rumored to be traded to the Patriots? I swear I heard someone say they should trade for Gardner Minshew to back up TB12 once Foles comes back so they would have their QB of the future once Brady is done.
yeah I'm thinking this is all bologna

Not practicing today...
Rotoworld take:

Stefon Diggs (undisclosed) didn't practice Wednesday.

Diggs showed numerous indications he was dinged up on Sunday but still logged 52-of-62 offensive snaps (84%) against the Bears. His availability against the Giants will ultimately come down to his participation in Friday's practice. Reminder Diggs has averaged a poor 4/37.2/0.1 in his past seven games when playing through an injury designation.

Its almost certainly nothing, but if it isn't, I'm surprised they'd be after Diggs instead of Thielen. Especially since Thielen may have ruffled some feathers this week, calling out Zimmer and Cousins.

Diggs not at practice today. Vikings said it was not injury related and didn’t give any other explanation

Not to Buffalo at least.
I mean, it wasn't long ago that we fantasy players were wary of a wide receiver's first year with a team due to learning a new system and chemistry with the QB, but now we're talking about a guy switching teams without even the benefit of OTAs, training camp, or preseason. I'm not getting my hopes up.

funny

in all seriousness, Diggs wasnt used appropriately, what makes you think Johnson would be any better
I mean, I'm only suggesting him as a flier. He'd be interesting if the Vikes eventually start throwing the ball a bit more. Their current game plan seems to work great against bad/mediocre defenses but it gets exposed when playing against top 15 defenses. I get that they want to be a ball control type of team like the Seahawks, but Kirk Cousins just isn't like Russ, I think he plays even worse than usual when he's forced to be a game manager.
