WR Stefon Diggs, NE (5 Viewers)

Uncoverable when healthy. I moved him for Baldwin before the trade deadline, and I miss him already.

Probably hyperbole, but his ability to make contested catches, and his breaks in and out of his routes, he reminds me of Antonio Brown. Just needs consistent quarterback play and to stay healthy (big ifs, for sure).

Torn on him again this week.  Thielen is just getting so many more targets recently
I would have to think by now teams would realize that Thielen is the bigger threat and will start putting their number one corner on him. Hopefully Diggs can be more of a factor when he's covered by a number two.

The next Antonio Brown turned out to be the next Philly Brown

The Pro Football Focus guys were saying on satellite radio yesterday that Diggs will likely be shadowed by Darius Slay.

The strength of the Lions defense is in the secondary right now but Diggs is good enough to beat anybody.

I am not sure how the Lions will play the WRs but I would expect the Vikings to try to get the ball to receivers who draw Lawson. Slay and Diggs are the better corners the LIons have.

I think the Vikings will try to run the ball a lot and Diggs can make big plays off play action.

Adam Thielen does have a size advantage on Quandre Diggs, but the safeties and game plan should be more focused on taking Thielen away than most teams.

Its a common opponent and the Lions have had the Vikings number recently. They match up well on the receivers and I think Keenum needs to find the RBs and TE a bit more in this game.

Yeah, Diggs had 5-98 and Thielen had 5-59 last time out against Detroit in a 7-14 loss.  I expect today's game to be a bit more open; that was really the only game Detroit has been able to control on the ground.

Torn here too. Picked up Doctson to play in place of Diggs but now have Diggs in for the moment. Been going back and forth the last couple days. My problem is all my wrs are risky plays week in and week out. Right now rolling with Diggs, Cooper and Adams.

Dalvin Cook got injured in that game and fumbled the ball on the play setting up Detroit. Murray wasn't really playing well at that point yet and McKinnon also fumbled the ball for no reason really on a wildcat play. He had the ball then just dropped it.

If the Vikings don't turn the ball over like this they should have more success and keep the ball longer this time against the Lions.

Thielen also fumbled at the end of the game IIRC.  Vikings very good this year, have to beat themselves to lose right now

I am still trying to figure out if Diggs is anywhere near as good as I thought he was.

Clearly now the 3rd option in the passing game on a team that wants to run it more than 50% of the time. Bad combination.

Such a disappointment.  Thielen has passed him by and keeps separating.  Diggs rarely gets a look anymore. I fall for it every year.

It’s all Thielen, all the time.

Domt get me wrong, Thielen is fantastic and deserves all the targets he gets but it’s really frustrating as a Diggs owner.

Diggs, like many number 1 receivers.....is receiving the attention of the best cover corner every week. I am sure the Vikings game plan is to keep feeding Theilen until someone is smart enough to change up coverage. Sammy Watkins seems to be having the same problem.

Apparently Marvin Jones is not having the same problem though....he thoroughly toasted Xavier Rhodes today until that last bobbled into the air interception.

Diggs isn't Minny's #1 WR though.....he hasn't been all year. He's good but Thielen is a better all around WR. I think Diggs has only gotten more targets in one game this year. I'll have to take a closer look but i'd be surprised if Det had their best CB just follow Diggs around........

I'm tired of people complaining about their WR not living up to their expectations this year.

Almost all WR scoring is down.

Diggs is not the 3rd option in the Vikings passing offense either, he missed 2 games otherwise he would have more targets than Rudolph.

Case Keenum doesn't have very good arm strength so the deep balls to Diggs are not as good as they were with Bradford.

Adam Thielen has been playing great and one of the few WR in the league who have been good all season. Case Keenum definitely seems to prefer throwing to him over any one else, almost to a fault.

In the game that was just played Diggs was open deep for what have been a big play but the refs let the defender tackle Diggs way before the ball was there and no flag, after calling all kinds of phantom holding and interference on the Vikings. One of the most obvious interference calls you will see not be called. The throw was short as well. Keenums lack of arm strength again.

Watched the whole game and Case was bird dogging Theilen the entire time. It seemed like this was the game plan. I wonder if the groin is still affecting Diggs

Keenum just doesn't seem to have the rapport with Diggs that he does with Theilen. He likes to move around in the pocket a lot, and seems to be able instinctively come up firing to Theilen. But I just don't see the same comfort with Diggs. There were a couple drag routes in which Diggs looked to be the primary read and broke open but Keenum's eyes never got back to him after shifting in the pocket.

And of course, his limited arm strength hurts Diggs' deep routes. A little frustrating to watch, as these two don't seem to pair well.

Agree with Taki. Don't think diggs is hurt. Just think Keenum gels more with theilen. Kind of like Matt Moore with Kenny stills

Also possible Keenum can only throw routes that Thielen runs. Look at Diggs' catches today. Basically came off broken plays or quick hitches. The two times he threw to him along the sidelines were ghastly throws.

Wasn't tracking it closely, but every time I checked it appeared Slay was on Diggs.

Owners thinking about cutting this guy? Not even getting looks in that offense the past month plus, generally getting 5 targets. That's awful and I don't see why or how it'll change.

Have to start him. In a position where I need to win and win big and Diggs has shown he's capable of a huge game. It's been a while but I'll bank on him over chasing points from a WW target like Kearse.

Chad Johnson 2.0 guys. Gets 200 yards and 2 scores in 3-4 games, but 4/45 in the remaining 12. Finishes top 25 every season... you think you've got an awesome WR2 with WR1 upside but really you've got a joke.

The last time I bark up this tree. Should have listened to myself when I said that Thielen looked like the WR1 on that team once Diggs came back...

I truly believe he's hampered by the fact Keenum can't throw his routes. If/when Teddy/Bradford ever take hold of the reigns (2018), he has a chance to become top dog again. I can recollect at least 4-5 throws where Keenum missed him on big plays just because he can't throw those routes with any sort of consistency.

No offense, but I'm real tired of these excuses.

At what point do we say Diggs is who he is

Last year it was his groin muscle and he's not 100% healthy
Now it's Keenum not being able to throw his routes?

Yes, QBs seem to favor particular WRs based on who they gel with a little more. It's possible Bridgewater turns the Diggs boat around. I'll let someone else live that dream though. Fool me once, shame on you... fool me twice, shame on me... fool me 3 times, I'm a #######

Exactly.  We've made excuses for him for three years now. Every training camp we hear that his coaches think he's the next Antonio Brown. And then he ends up being the third option in their offense.  He's a season-killer. All that hope makes owners put him in the lineup every week.  Last week, we heard how Atlanta's top two corners are out and that could mean big things for Stefon Diggs.  3.7 points.
