Ya know....we are moving along pretty good.

Except for a few minor mid-round explorations, we're running along pretty good.

It'll be interesting to see how the next rounds go....heck, we've still got over half way to go. :hophead:

9.02: Shonn Greene RB-FA

Didn't PM Crippler cause he's all over this process.

9.03, proxy pick for Crippler, based on PM (which I should have seen/read last night): Trent Edwards, QB-BUF

FYI, I have a list for beachbum & super gringo once Hawkeye makes his selection.
Man,I'd like to see that list  Bet at least one of my guys is on that list. I only have 2 guys on my list and I'm sure they'll both be gone by my 9.15 pick. It's a conspiracy out to destroy my team, I know. The fantasy gods hate me  The only 2 guys that ain't been on my round 9 list were Edwards and Bulger.Figures, the rest are gone.

It looks like hawkeye has timed out on his 4 hour clock. I have lists for the next two picks, so here goes....

9.12 Beachbum takes Ray Rice RB, BAL

9.13 el super gringo takes Vernon Davis TE, SF

PMing Moe Green

So, Hawkeye is on a two hour clock, right?

We replace him after he runs the plank at the two hour mark?

8:07 EST is Pumpkin time.

Toads, I could be wrong here, but this is how I see it:Hawkeyes timed out on his 4 hour clock for his 9.11 pick. He can make that pick at any time he shows up. His next pick, 10.06, would be cut down to a 2 hour clock, if he times out there, we move on, and he could make that pick anytime he shows up as well. If we get to his 11.11 pick, he'd be cut down to a 1 hour clock, if he missed that, then we'd discuss replacing him. That is still alot of time, and would be 3 missed picks before we'd have to replace him. I think he'll show and make some pick(s) before that point. jmo.

Also, remember on one of Hawkeyes last posts, he mentioned having the flu, so I'm certainly willing to cut him some slack. It is the off-season and we are still moving at a reasonable pace imo.

Thanks....replacing any one is not desirable. We're half way there.

10.02- RB Jerious Norwood(Atl)

PM sent to Moe Green

He had 36 catches last year and I think he'll get 50 this year, plus he had over 800 combined yds. and 6td's.Maybe the 'Burner'll let him have a few more td's this year so he can save his health for the playoffs.

whats our timing looking like? i'm gonna be going out in a little bit but i wanna know when i should try to check in on the mobile
As near as I can figure: Moe is on a 8 hr. clock that started tickin' at 8:00 AM EST...4:00 PM EST is when the sand runs out.

Technically it started at 10:08 yesterday I think, which would have timed out at 2:08 est. Moot point now.

Just logged in and saw a pm from gringo....

El Super Gringo selects: 10.04 Michael Bush RB, OAK

I'll PM beachbum as I see he is on.

I guess beachbum is reviewing things.....Whenever he does make his pick we've got to make a decision. re: the WSL rules:

If you miss a pick your clock is cut in half. You can make up your pick at any time. If you miss two picks and haven't made them up when you come back on the clock for a third time, you'll be replaced ... ... If you have to bail due to circumstances beyond your control, at least let us know. I reserve the right at my discreation to make a pick for you if I feel the intregrity of the draft will be impacted.
I think we can guess that Hawkeyes may involved in circumstances beyond his control, given his posting that he's dealing with the flu. At that point if he hasn't made it on to make the two picks then we've got to either prevail on BnB to make a couple picks or have someone else stand in for him; I honestly don't know how long the flu can put one down for.... After beachbum makes his call then Hawkeyes is on a two minute clock.ETA: 5:20 pm EST

I hate to complicate this further, but beachbum selected Kevin Curtis, who was already selected by Duke @ pick 8.13. He needs to make another pick.

I'll PM him.

Was just looking back over my messages and I have a 'list' of 6 names from beachbum that were for his 'pick(s)'. Two of those names are still available. He said this list would be ok if he wasn't around (I used this list to make his round 9 pick of Ray Rice). Toads/Glumpy, you guys seem to be around. You want me to use the list to re-select for beachbum's 10.05 Kevin Curtis pick that was invalid? I'm heading out soon here and will be gone for a few hours. Let me know your thoughts on this. (If I make a pick for beachbum, were just likely going to have to wait for Hawkeye anyways....)

Can anybody take a list for my next pick(s)?

Personally I think that's a good idea; from the post when he sent you the picks he wasn't sure if he'd be able to make them. If your next choice from him is another WR (which apparently he was looking at) then it's a no brainer.

 If you've got two choices at "live picks" for beachbum, well....I'd say if one of the two was a WR (which he wanted), I'd go ahead and make it.He has the right to re-do his Curtis pick at any time, though, if you don't make the pick. Therein lies the stew. So, maybe taking that into account means that you wait till Hawkeye times out and make the pick....it's a tough call because of the two potential picks that fall if Hawkeye shows up before beachbum returns; three + potential picks if it keeps rolling and more picks are made. In this case, having a list complicates things.

Either way, beachbum picking puts us back into the Hawkeye clock starting again. Two hours after beachbum's aborted effort, the next up, Nittanylion, is on the clock.

Which, based on the timing of this post seems to mean that Nittanylion, is on the clock now.

I'll PM Nittanylion,

:kicksrock:

If it were up to me, I wouldn't select a WR for beachbum. I'd just go to the highest ranked player from the list he gave me (1. Dom Rhodes, 2. LeRon McClain still remain). If I were to select, I'd give him Dom Rhodes and move on, not select a WR (since his list contained no WR's)

I've gotta run, the wife and kids are waiting at the door to leave. You have all the information that I had....I'll let either of you sort it out. I'll be back by 9CST.

It's official: beachbum's 10.05 pick is Dom Rhodes, RB-INDI PM'd nittanylion; McClain has been chosen.

Ghost of Bill Walsh will be here online most of the day if anyone wants to send me a picks list.Just make sure the list doesn't have any players already taken, if so BnB will get the list to make the pick. Make sure round and pick number in round is correct. Depending on how far away your pick is make your list with enough players to cover should they be taken by the time it gets to you.Yes I'll have picks coming up too but I will take the next player not taken on your list as your pick. Copy your list so you have a reference to check. No one else will see your list except me or BassnBrew if needed. This is the weekend end and we should be able to make up some time before the work week.I understand people have things to do but you should fully well know what you're getting into with these drafts. Don't punish someone else because you can't get online, just think ahead a little bit and make a picks list, send it out and you're done.Only takes a few minutes of your time. I'm sure people can figure out when they're going to have a few minutes of free time. Take that free time and put together a list. If your pick is too far away, yeah wait and get back to it later. Shouldn't be any reason why we can't keep this draft moving at a reasonable pace. I don't mean a barnburner but avoidance of timing out. Shouldn't happen, yet I understand circumstances arise and we'll deal with it. As I said I'll be around all day if anyone wants to pm me a list with your pick/picks.

think it's time to put out a cry for help.......hawkeyes has timed out again, and now with a 1 hour clock.....no way.

lets get some new blood in here and move on..

2.16 Brandon Jacobs RB, NYG

3.01 Drew Brees QB, NO

PMing next
I like your start sig.Way to knock out two rounds in two days guys. Be sure to use the PM function to forward draft lists if you're not going to be around. These drafts move pretty quickly if you can keep the momentum up....once you loss it, it's tough to get back.
I went back and dug this out.....back after we'd had reasonable progress for two days at the beginning.Turns out to be prophetic.

We're dead in the water, looking for the wind to blow cause we got no paddle.

I'll begin the process of scouring the logical place(s) for replacement(s) for Hawkeye and probably nittanylion. The logical places are WSL 1-3 who are completing their process.

If it's Sunday and nittanylion is MIA for all of Saturday, he's probably toast, too.

Just a re-cap of what we're seaching for:

1) A replacement for Hawkeye who has a two pick deficit; make up two picks and be ready for the next. Picks are the 9.11 and the 10.06....the 10.06 pick timed out on the two hour timer at 2:20 PM on Saturday (thus puting nittanylion on the clock at the same time).

2) A replacement for nittanylion who is MIA for 36 hours and times out at 10:20 PM, this date, on the 10.07 pick.
