You can thank me later for Johnson, Jeff. I made a quick short list of guys on my way out the door yesterday and whiffed on CJ. Picking Burress won't kill me, but I do like Johnson better.

Unless having TJH and CJ on a bye in Week 9 knocks you out. In which case it was carefully crafted strategy.

So Jeff...based on the first four rounds, who do you like to finish 2nd?
:hijacked:
The only way I like your better is if you went Steve Smith in the second, of course that's based on knowing the CJ gift in the 3rd. Regardless, you got two RB1s and two WR1s and have a ton of flexibility. If the bye week schedules were out you'd have a calk walk. I sure you're aware of the ways to mitigate the risk so it will be fun to see what approach you take.

tough call here....

5.06: Todd Heap, TE BAL

He was TE4 in this format in 2006 and TE2 in 2005. Lot of if's here...but if he is healthy, if he has a QB....I like his upside and TE's can be very valuable in this 2 PPR format. Sold.

Finally, one odd # round when Jeff didn't take my choice ;)

Then again, he didn't need him. :bag:

5.10 Santana Moss, WR WAS

Yup...his roster didn't need a guy who will post 3 or 4 scoreable games.
:lmao: Thanks for sharing. Last year was a down year for sure, I still see 6 "scoreable" games - despite only scoring 3 TDs all year. I suspect we'll see 6-10 TDs this year, slightly more receptions (5/6 per game) and if he plays all 16 games (hasn't lately) he'll go over 1,000. Not spectacular stats, but good enough here. His "more probable" upside is higher than any other WR available at this point. Not accounting for TDs (difficult to forecast), he should outperform Jennings and a few other WRs taken already.

Hackett was another thought, but Moss actually has less risk.

I always like Moss in this format over a typical redraft, but I think there is a decent chance he was there for you in the 6th.

Quite possibly, but the other players, aside from Hackett, that I was considering should be too. This is the phase of the draft where reasonable minds will differ and championships are won more by player projection than simple strategy. Dare to be different, as long as you're right. :goodposting:

:useless: I remember getting blasted for only having 4 WRs in SSL last year. Granted, this was not planned, but a result of having a newborn at the time. Anyway, I ended up making the finals and one of my 4 WRs was Joe Horn!! :link:

Wanted McNabb, but I guaran-damn-tee that he won't be my only QB.....Plus since 2002, Cleveland and Cincy have never shared a bye either.....

fair enough, just seems a bit high when other quality QBs are available. He was taken high in other drafts too, but I wouldn't have. Just means you'll be taking QB2 before others. Might not be a bad plan in the end.

Wayne and Horn are the two I remember. I will have to look up the other 2.

Okay, I had Wayne, Bruce, Horn and Brandon Jones. I also had VY, Addai and AD. I survived 15 weeks with this crew.
